But it was a trick question. Because the truth is, money is whatever you think it is. There are no right or wrong answers to my question — money is whatever you decide it is for you. Having said that, I wrote what I think is an interesting view of money — in fact, I wrote it from the voice and perspective of money. I’ve provided it to you below. I think this will help a lot of people get a new understanding of what money is about, and what’s interesting is that the MOMENT you ‘get’ what money is, your view shifts completely. I Am Money
Most people think they know me.
They don’t.
I am not what most people think I am.
I am not the paper in your wallet, or the coins that jingle in your purse.
I am not quietly sitting in your bank account, hoping to be used to one day.
You cannot see me, feel me or touch me.
I am an idea, and I am energy. I’m neither good nor evil.
I am only what you decide that I am, and I fulfill the role that you create for me.
I don’t care how smart you are, where you live, what you do, or where you come from.
All I care about is your energy.
Your energy decides what thoughts you have, and therefore your thoughts will determine the relationship you have with me.
I have very simple needs, and simple rules.
I am infinite.
I have no limits, except for those you place on me with your mind. There is no limit to the energy in the world, and because I am simply energy, I cannot be restricted or controlled.
I crave abundance.
I am attracted to whose who think without restrictions, who like to think big. When you believe there is enough of me to go around, I am naturally magnetized by that thinking.
I despise scarcity.
Because there is no limit to me, I avoid those who think from a win/lose or scarcity perspective. Those who believe I am in short supply, or difficult to receive, will find that very reality, because I choose to avoid those who think small.
I love value.
What magnetizes me most is the creation of value in the universe. I move to places where value is created, because creation is energy. If you wish to attract me into your life, focus on creating value for others, and I will appear.
I avoid entitlement and complacency.
No one ‘deserves’ to have me, and I am always moving to the place I am most respected and where value is created. It has nothing to do with ‘fair’. Those who take me for granted or become complacent with my energy will find me gone.
I only have one job, and that is to serve you.
It is a matter of energy and value creation. My purpose is simply to move to where I am attracted most, and where I can grow.
My one goal is to replicate myself.
Because there is no limit to energy, my purpose is to reproduce and grow, in order to bring more energy to the universe. I am created and replicated through value creation. I am an energy of evolution.
The message for you should be clear. Those who create value for others in the world will find me in their lives.
I am whatever you believe me to be.
So what you believe about me can make you miserable, or what you believe can enable you to perform miracles.
I’m neither positive, nor negative. I am what you decide I am.
If you fear me in any way, I can crush your ability to survive. If you get to know me, I can make your life flourish and your dreams come alive.
I can be your master, or I can be your servant.
I am only what you make me.
So, the relationship we have together will be determined by you.
Isn’t it time we got to know each other better?

I think this is the crux for any material item/object that we possess or wish to … it’s all what mental state we attach to it 🙂
we can even bring that to a positive thought level. funny how if we think positively about something the outcome can just maybe be more favourable!

I remember you telling me that money is created.
I am feeling so confident reading this because my biggest asset is my creativity and I am consistently working hard at my shows to create happyness with the kids and help the teachers and it really is starting to pay off.
I want to share what an amazing experience I’ve lived today that just shows everything you wrote is true. About 7 years ago, I was invited to a conference in a Bahai centre. The speaker was Jack Lenz. (A huge producer and film/tv score writer, I did not know that). He did a very moving talk and I was so inspired by it that I went to see the organizers and I said I wanted to sing this guy a song to thank him, and that I had written a song that summed his talk. I intuitively had stuck an instrumental cd of it in my pocket that night. They played it, I sang and Mr. Lenz was very moved and grateful, and came to thank me.
Then I went on to take music writing workshops and one of them was with Mark Jordan who is just an incredible songwriter. (writes for Rod Stewart). A few years later, I was to bumb into him in a small town in Ontario where we were both touring. He recognized me and was truly happy I was now a touring artist, and I thanked him for his help in training me.
Well, two weeks ago, I applied to participate into a reality tv show called BIG VOICE. It is for the women’s network. They pick women between 35-50 with a big voice, and produce them as stars. Voice coach, amazing producer, the whole thing. I got picked and auditionned today. When I got there, I realized the prod. co. was Jack Lenz’s, I walked in to come face to face with Mark Jordan! The two women I did the interview with were amazed I had actually sang for their president, knew Mark and it was like coming full circle. I just felt I was coming home Greg, and amazing feeling. I felt totally part of! I’d practiced, and practiced, so I did a great interview and sang beautifully. I will know in two weeks if I made the top 6 they will select. If so, I will get one of the best vocal coach in Canada, top producers, great songs, clothes and a tv show! It is so true that money is not a piece of paper. I don’t have much of these pieces of paper right now, but I am more and more being surrounded by people like YOU, who are giving me top class support as an artist and I don’t think it is a coincidence. I am so freaking rich!
Life is just an amazing trip!

Can you give an example of a belief you got rid of, and how? I remember you telling me to think big, and I did but nothing changed and then I asked you to give me an example and you said you’d purchased a building that was way more expensive than anything else you’d purchased before. So I got it, I had to act bigger, not just think it! So, how did you act on changing one belief?
