  1. I'm in day care business so I think I would like to write some poems or articles for children on calming collic children.

  2. I designed a forklift attachment that quickly converts from a John Deere backhoe front bucket to almost every brand of skid steer on the market, plus it also fits every farm tractor from a 3 point hitch aspect for picking up firewood crates etc…works awesome…

  3. Very good introduction to the concepts and possible ways of monetising knowledge……in a practical way. It is more easy to sell a product than a service!….Very helpful.

  4. Hi Greg,
Thanks so much for continuing to share your practical inspiration with us. The least I can do is add to the feedback and do my homework so you will continue in your generous spirit. My product would grow out of my radio show 'Living on Purpose' ~ a book of transcripts of interview highlights from over the years, with a photo of each guest and a brief bio of them with an update of what they are up to 'now'. Thanks for the nudge Greg! Also, I appreciate your shift of the word 'passive' to 'leverage', I've been shifting it to 'residual' which at least has more 'action' in it. 'Passive' is not engaging enough for an entrepreneur. With appreciation and looking forward to more ~ Lynn

  5. Great information. I have to be honest and say I have seen this info from others. But you explain it very well.

    1. Hi Maryalice – of course, this isn’t the first time anyone has talked about it. Question is, if you’ve heard it before, have you acted on it? That’s the key. There are very few new ideas, the problem is that most people hear the ideas that work and never act on them. So hopefully the way I present it gives you more inspiration to take action, AND to actually believe you can do it!

  6. Thanks, Greg. A big issue my target market faces is too much information and lack of control. I have an outline and this technique is perfect. The product is online training for family trustees/caregivers to help them create positive outcomes. I could call it “How to create the outcome you want from caring for your parents” or “The 7 subjects you need to master to be a great trustee and caregiver”.

  7. Hi Greg,

I liked your example of how to get paid to create a product. I look forward to seeing what other info you have to help those of us who really want to get into the area of information products and make a decent amount of money doing it. Very practical info for anyone who has something to offer.

  8. Hi Geg! I loved it but I am just a massage therapist who wants a lot more out of life. I am not yet an entrepreneur.
I talk a lot about nutrition, power supplements, basic supplement, cleansing, exercise, meditation, Spitituality, emotionality, biology and the nervous system and why DEEP TISSUE is bad! That is a controversial one!
I do live it but I fail plenty. I know a little about a lot of things.
I have diverse passions, and they are growing. The PRODUCT is self empowerment on all levels!
I do this anyway (not just as a massage therapist). Thank you, it was interesting to write this. Mary

. So, I thought I would share because I would like to know more and I really like you! I learned about you from SUCCESS Manifestors.
At this point I have no clue how to get a website or start marketing and am gathering info right now, for when the time comes. I welcome your input because it makes me FEEL like it is possible.

    1. You’re “just a massage therapist”? That’s part of the challenge, you need to reframe your confidence and belief! You rattled off a BUNCH of ideas and topics that could make great products on topics that people are interested in.

  9. I agree with the idea. I am creating a program that people can have a leveraged income. But for the moment, the program only for Indonesian people. I call it a multi-tiers affiliate (it can be seen at http://koperasi52.com). If you invest $20 and bring at least 5 other people to be an investor and also do the same thing, you will get income start from a penny a mont up to $100.000 a month

    1. Forgive me Robert, but that sounds from the outside like a pyramid scheme. I would suggest that if it’s a solid concept that you figure out a better way to explain/describe it, because it sounds too good to be true and most people reading that would jump to the conclusion that it’s a scam — no matter how great it really is. And in marketing, what matters most is what people THINK of your offer, not what it is actually IS. Doesn’t matter how good it really is if you can’t get people to believe and engage.

  10. good food for thought-thank you!
i have a couple of businesses and a couple of ideas:
“what to drink tonight?” great, affordable wine & spirits review
“fountain of youth” simple steps for youthful living
hmmmm- gotta let these ideas percolate

  11. I am a mentor/coach – I'd create Downloadable booklet, video with information, online support groups, teleseminars…

  12. I was thinking about a series of fun online short booklet's for helping people find what the perfect wine is for them, Thing's like…”where to even start when you walk into a wine store”, “determining why a person likes a sweeter red as oppose to a drier red”. Easy simple stuff that I see people struggle with all the time. A lot of books out there are full of too much information that is mind boggling that make people frustrated.

    1. Hey Kim – and it’s about what the customer is really struggling with. While those topics are super easy for you, they may not be for your customer. Key thing is to NOT underestimate how LITTLE your market knows. I do this all the time – thinking that “everyone knows this” because I do. Yet, you constantly can surprise yourself at how much you really DO know more than your market.. and then the secret is bridging that gap so that you’re thinking like them instead of from your own perspective. For example the sweeter red vs. drier red – is that what wine neophytes REALLY think about? I don’t, and I’m not a wine expert at all. I wonder, how can I confidently choose a wine to take to a dinner party and feel confident it was the right choice?

  13. Great video.I have to think about what my product would be, but I didnt want to leave without saying thanks for giving me something to think about. I hope we get to see all of your videos.

  14. Great ideas…. Not very techy but I know of people that are doing this (free most of the time).
Financial Analyst, and the product name is “What are the steps in creating financial independence” solving the problem that many people have with immediate gratification and low savings.

    Specialty Planning

  15. Very Good. My product is a webinar with Power Point slides on how to create prosperity and increased income in these transitional and challenging times by developing an improved attitude and mind set. Looking forward to more valuable videos. Thank you.

    1. Sounds interesting Jim. Really, the WAY it’s delivered is secondary right now – the most important thing is nailing a topic that really gets the attention of your target market so they “lean in” and want more. I’ll take about how to deliver the content in one of the other videos, provided there’s enough interest in this (which there seems to be so far).

  16. The info. is very helpful and clearly presented. The product I would like to produce is a book, But I need to clarify in my mind what simple.valuable info that book would contain from the mass of options I have in mind and in my notes.

  17. You definately have me thinking. I am a hairstylist of 30 years and also do hair replacement. I also work with many products that enhance the hair. Here is my suggestion:

“10 options to deal with thinning hair.” Perhaps i could somehow link them to whatever they decide is an option for them.

    by:Linda Ouimet

    1. Great ideas! Losing your hair is a hugely emotional situation, so it’s something people are thinking about and actively seeking solutions for. Using the concept of affiliate marketing, you could also line up with other people who offer various solutions and when you refer a client to them, you could get paid a fee or commission. Sounds like you’re thinking the right way!

  18. GREG Nice work. Thanks for the information. I set up the National Basketball Shooters Association last year with a group of experts at the free throw line. I did this after finishing my book, The Guide To Free Throw Mastery – Beyond Expectation. I'm on the right track but I have a ways to go still. The streams of cash aren't flowing yet. jim

  19. Great presentation again Greg. I need to watch this again and take notes this time. I know that I am an information entrepreneur. Thanks. You always present direct and clear information.

  20. Really great video! I'm a raw foods chef myself, so it's kind of amazing for me that you used that as an example. I have been planning on opening a cafe, but this got me thinking to create a cookbook or something (I'm a much better at writing than demonstrating:). Can't wait to see the next video!

    1. Developing some simple information products might give you a way of attracting clients before you go to open the cafe, plus you can use them to position yourself as the authority in the market. Great example of how creating simple products can be so powerful to move you into other areas in the business.

  21. Hi Greg! Great video! I find your words of wisdom very inspiring!

I'm a software quality assurance engineer and I have a wonderful idea for a iPhone app. The problem that it solves .. well, I'm thinking it would need an NDA. I can say that it would essentially alter the way people research their next car, change the way they sell their car / buy a used car and undoubtedly improve motorists around the world. Best of all, it can be promoted as “the best mobile iPhone motoring app of the century” <-- (it doesn't have to be limited to just the iPhone) I believe a presentation to sell/develop this app is in order. 😉 Please feel free to contact me if you'd like to discuss this opportunity.

  22. Realtor
    Product: First Time Buyers Handbook
Problem: Solution to questions first time buyers might have before jumping in and possibly buying their first place.

    1. Hi Donal – I would suggest that you focus even deeper on a target market. First time buyers is a huge market, but there are lots of submarkets in there that you could really focus on. Doing so allows you to really communicate directly to that market. For example, first time buyers that are expecting a child. Or, first time buyers who recently moved or immigrated to Canada. The more specific your niche, the easier to communicate directly to them and the more of an authority you can become in that market.

  23. Excellent content, delivered without “fluff”.

I will spend at least two hours today creating a product that addresses the problem of “Procrastination”.

  24. Dear GREG,
You have created a genuine resource to move step by step. I will do my home work and submit my product
Thanks. Looking forward to listen the second installment of Knowledge.

  25. Very valuable video. I’d like to develop a essential sports coaching information e-book and market it. I have done the study and have all the material but don’t know how to proceed. This video series may be the answer.

  26. Some good ideas there – I could do a workshop on reducing, relieving and managing stress in your life, with some powerful NLP tools, record it and promote as a product.

Ideas for content/products are plentiful, but some info on how to get it out there and in front of people who can benefit would be nice. Thanks.

    1. Hi Keith – we’re going to get there! I’ll talk about how to access your market in one of the other videos I’m going to create, since there seems to be alot of interest on this topic and series.

  27. Thanks Greg. I own an auto body shop and we have experienced a lot of growth over the past 5 years. The product I could create is a simple plan to market and grow a small business the way I have over the past several years. The question I’m asking is if I should stick to my industry or make the training more generally applicable to small biz owners.

Thanks again for sharing great content that is easily digested and applied!

    1. Becoming the industry authority is always a great strategy since when you are a ‘product of the product’ that gives you a LOT more credibility. I would suggest that you first start with that particular market (since it’s a large one), and THEN look to make it more applicable. But it’s all about targeting a market and keeping focused. That’s what I would suggest for you.

  28. Hi Greg, Thought provoking video. Changing the angle of thinking towards problem identification through the top questions that clients ask, and then designing a product around it seems so logical, but is also so easy to neglect to do. My opportunities are related to excellence in execution inside the corporation. Many thanks.

    1. Hi Scott — it is amazing that most of the best ways to approach business are never the obvious or easy ones to see. But yes, once you adjust the angle you’re looking at, suddenly it becomes a lot easier to see the opportunities. Great point, so thanks for that. So what’s the topic/challenge that your market would be interested in solving?

  29. Great info Greg…..you’ve got my wheels turning! My product would be called “7 Easy Steps to Reducing Stress”.
I’m looking forward to your next training video. Thanks for making the content so clear and straightforward.

  30. Greg wanting to do a program for contractors on how to obtain leads and then into closed sales.

” How Contractors Can Find Qualified Leads And Turn Them Into Sales”

Should I niche it down more?

    Thanks for the video.

    Glen

    1. Great market since it’s such a fragmented one with little in the way of solutions. What kind of contractors? The more you can define and focus on a niche, the better, so yes I would be even more clear about what kind of contractors you’re referring to.

  31. That video does have some great content. I’m thinking my product would be something that answers purchaser’s questions on how Rent-To-Own house purchasing works. “6 Steps to Successful Rent-To-Own Purchases” might be a sample title. I’ll have to think about your suggesting and see if this is something we could put into action.

    1. That’s a great idea. Remember, you don’t even necessarily have to SELL your product – you can include as a valuable bonus when someone buys something else from you. Or you can sell it, and then rebate it back if they buy the bigger thing. For example with you, you could sell a product for $47, and then rebate that price back to them if they end up doing a deal with you. That kind of thing.

  32. Most asked question: How will the Cashflow Game help me in real life?

Product; The 7 steps to “Leverage” the lessons from the game to Real Life and create your own “Leveraged Income”

    1. Hi Gidon — here’s the thing — most people don’t want to play Cashflow for the sake of playing Cashflow. They want to become financially free, and playing that game becomes one of the vehicles that might help them get there. They only play the game as a means to an end. So the emphasis needs to be why playing that game is so important. “The 7 Secret Lessons In Cashflow That Multiply Your Success In Real Life” or something that ties the fact that your product will accelerate their learning and getting the end results. Even that title I’m not excited about but hopefully you get the point. I assume your market are only people that even know what Cashflow the game actually is.

  33. thank you so much.
    please keep it coming?
do you have suggestions for how to get over the issue of doing long distance or online training on a subject that would require practical hands-on interaction between trainer and learner?
i am a holistic health practitioner and present seminars and do training in person.
in my sessions i focus on giving learners a personal experience of what we’re dealing with to deepen their understanding.
how can i do this on video/audio/text?

    1. Most businesses can be translated to an information product. Obviously not the actual practice, but think about all the things that the person could do to improve or enhance what they get from the practice. So for example, is meditation something that would contribute to getting better results of what you do? Can you offer a video that shows exactly what happens in the practice room so that people who have never done holistic health practices can get familiar and comfortable with it? There are lots of things you could create that would benefit and add value, so you just need to brainstorm what those might be.

  34. The greatest issue seems to be overcoming overwhelm. We are changing our business model a physically published local magazine to … something else. So we are working hard to learn about the dynamics of the internet. Most of our customers are struggling with overwhelm, particularly how to adapt their own businesses to the internet. We are trying to equip ourselves with the answers for them, perhaps as consultants.

In respect of products, we don’t feel confident to position ourselves as experts in this arena. We are learning so much from the materials produced by experienced internet marketers. So it feels a bit chicken and egg – we will get the experience once we start (in the next three months) trying to help customers implement solutions.

We are determined to get momentum but it is amazing how much of a role confidence plays in this. Confidence comes with the first signs of success – and not until. So the old models of helping customers don’t fit any more and we can’t create a product based on the new ones until we have more experience applying them.

By the way. We love the way you define your own purpose. Thanks for all the training materials you put out and the example you give.

    1. It’s not about how many people you’ve helped or how long you’ve been doing it. It’s a matter of where you CAN help people. If you can, then that’s all the experience you need. As long as you can demonstrate that what you offer works, even with only 2 or 3 people who have applied it and succeeded, that’s all it takes. ALL people want is to know you can solve their problem, and a low risk (or ideally risk free) way of being able to get it. That means standing behind what you sell with a strong guarantee. Holding back because you don’t have the experience is a HUGE MISTAKE .. because you will NEVER GET IT until you step into it!

If you have to, find 5-10 people in your target market that you can offer to help at no cost, provided they are willing to give you a really strong endorsement and testimonial IF you deliver what you say. That’s all it takes. You then leverage those comments and happy clients as evidence you know what you’re doing.

  35. I have been diagnosed with multiple chronic inflammatory diseases. And after your last free video series in the Fall I decided to write “10 Things Nobody Ever Told Me About Living With Invisible Disabilities” – I’m still tweaking it, but it’s almost done. This is NOT a how-to book, it’s about my personal experiences nobody ever told me I’d have to deal with when I was diagnosed with my first chronic illness, lupus. If the book does well, I would like to go on to create a video series based on the book.

I’ve done a lot of research into setting up a website, putting the book on Clickbank, and social media marketing; but the problem is I have absolutely NO interest, what so ever, in doing these things. I would rather “talent barter” with someone who actually enjoys doing these things (and is good at it) and share the profits. I’ve just begun the process of making inquiries with Social Media Marketing Consultants, Product Launch Managers, and MindValley.com (Vishen Lakhiani’s group). No responses yet, but I will continue the search as I put the finishing touches on my book.

Thanks for the great free content!

  36. I am a business coach and I have a number of ideas about “How to” ebooks and courses. A mental barrier I face though, is that I don’t get started because I think that it has all been created already, and that my ebook or course will be a “me too”. Thanks. Nice video!

  37. Hi Greg,
Excellent content, I am thinking 7 steps to getting the most from google apps. Showing more in depth usage for business than google’s training stuff.
Thanks again and keep it coming!

    Craig

  38. This was a great video and I am always learning from you and others Greg. Perhaps my problem is where I need to begin writing my solution to others out there. I keep asking the same question and it seems to be a secret amongst the masses. Everyone I seek solutions from keep telling how to expand your business by creating solutions to problems from “your prospects and clients”. The assumption is you know who they are so you can solve problems. I have a wealth of knowledge bursting to share however I have been told “build it and they will come” is a bad idea.

Perhaps I need to lead with a product called “7 steps to finding a target market to solve problems for”.

Looking forward to more videos and training. Thank you so much for your quality content!

  39. I work in a high school library. So I’m always being asked about books because students are required to pick out a book or books with so many pages for independent reading per semester. So I trying to think of a way to help them. They have a reading list of books that they can choose from but there is no way that I can read all those books nor do I want to. You got me thinking, I know there must be a way. Thanks

  40. Hi Greg,

My skill is very unusual and I am already known for what I do but I do want to put ‘a jacket’ around it so to speak, give it identity and take it to the world. I am interested in what else you have to say. Thank you.

    Kind regards

    Roger.

  41. Absolutely, So much value !!! Greg, ‘you practice what you preach’ … and preach or teach absolutely well. … Absolutely. Thank you for all the valuable information – motivation – and VALUE!

As a business owner of a landscape design company, and as a newer real estate associate … hundreds of ideas for products come to mind … and now it is just a matter of taking one good idea … taking action … even making it better … to the point of ‘great’.

Thank you … and I look forward to the VALUE you offer. … Len

      1. I am impressed – you read all the feedback … and take time to reply.

On the R.E. side … as an Albertan having seen many of our winters and being of the generation with many snowbird friends, I am in the process of liaising with a realtor contact in Arizona and seeing if marketing properties here in some kind of ‘Due South’ forum is viable (and perhaps first target some of the police veterans of whom I share membership) … and on the landscape side, I am coordinating meetup groups to provide (free) knowledge and information to homeowners … and to promote the business.

Your business mission with The Engaged Entrepreneur … Your stories, presentation and delivery are phenomenal and add much fuel to my fires that seem to be now raging.

BTW – your ‘flat tire’ story really hit home … although my experience was one of riding my bike as fast as I could and in going so fast, I could not negotiate a corner. I went ‘ass over ..’ (you get the pic) … perhaps another analogy you could apply in your own marketing about the speed of ones approach to business … ?

Thank you for the Christmas gift of ‘Think and Grow Rich’ and putting on events such as that which saw Sir Richard and others in Calgary. I took my sis-in-law for the day event and have seen some meagre sparks evolve to some definite ‘flame’ most call a passion … but then I understand it largely a result of energies from people like you.

Thank you again – and I do look forward to more of your offerings … and perhaps even have an opportunity to meet someday.

        All the best … Len

  42. Thank you for putting this in terms that are easy to understand. Very clearly defined and laid out. I’m always asked how to grow herbs, what to do with them, and how they can benefit my family. As a Organic gardener, chef, herbalists, and consultant I’ve worked many many years at ground level seeing what is needed from the garden and the people who really want this info. You have incouraged me to go farther than the basic worshops. I look foreward to your next video.

    1. Hi Melanie
perhaps we could look at combining our talents and come up with a joint venture of some sort.
Teleseminars and joint authorship of books comes to mind.

      Cheers
      Chris

  43. Thanks Greg,
Great content. I love your ideas and feel very inspired when I listen to you. I am in Real Estate and troughout the videos thought of several different things I could work on ( i have been thinking about this for awhile now) however I am not a techie and my thoughts go to what I do once it is created how to find the people that can help put it together etc. I look forward to the rest of the videos.

  44. Thank you so much Greg! You have a great way of teaching. I am defineatly thinking now.

The 7 things you need for stress free travel with children. I know there are other out there but like you mentioned is doing it in a format that works for people.

      1. Sat 15 Jan 11

I already knew some of the information YOU gave, but I have always
had a much easier job of making suggestions, to help others, than I
have… helping myself. So I’m often stymied in the middle somewhere.

I have a large amount of varied experience at many levels and have
likely made a fair amount of the list of mistakes, that can be made.
Guess I sort of can’t see the trees because the forrest often is in the way.
Once I find my path, am sure there are plenty of things I can do.

Will say I hope you continue with this project. Even your mentor
Napolean Hill often said in his books; “if you help solve the
problem of others, by the time their problems are mostly solved…
YOU will also discover YOU’ve mostly solved your own problems.”

Hope this reply, though not specific, helps in some way?

        “M”

  45. Hi Greg,
Very insightful! I have my outline done before the video was over. Can’t wait for the next steps! Thank you so much for this help.

  46. I’m currently reading Joel Comm’s book KaChing which covers the exact same topic. In order to create an e-book, I need to know the solution I’m solving. I watched your video, created and sent out my reader survey and will now wait for the answers. I also included an incentive offering a discount on their next purchase to everyone who fills it out. I have some ideas of what my target’s problems are but I’m looking forward to knowing ‘for sure’ and the e-book will evolve from that. Thanks Greg for offering this training free of charge!

    1. Joel’s a very smart guy and knows his stuff. In the end, it’s a matter of finding the information that you resonate with and that will move you to action – so as long as you are taking action that’s all that matters!

  47. Nicely done, Greg! Simple, straightforward and insightful.
The problem I’m trying to solve for others is to allow them to feel better about their lives, their relationships, their security. My work does this, but it’s difficult to market. Any suggestions?
Anyway, Greg, keep up the good work and I look forward to your future videos.

  48. Thanks Greg for the great content and easy to understand language. I am undertaking the process of selling my knowledge which I have learned over the past 25+ years in the area of Money Management and also personal coaching this last year. The product I am wanting to sell to my clients (specifically the church body) is a 1-Nite seminar called “Money Matter$” where I can teach people to how they can create their financial gameplan in less than one afternoon. This might be a question for your Wed Q/A calls but I was thinking of inviting 20 or so pastors to an informational meeting to promo my seminar. I really believe I can change a person’s life overnite because I teach it in a very simplifed way which is important for people as they can get very overwhelmed with money. You would be surpised at what a simple thing like creating a 1-hour budget can do to a person’s life because before this, they have no idea on how much money they are making (or losing). I like the one-on-one coaching but it takes too much time and people aren’t willing to spend the money I think I deserve. So I am hoping to put out my name more by doing the speakers circuit way. What’s your thoughts ?

  49. I want to teach basic fighting and self-defense techniques, and basic fitness excercises, to help people be more comfortable, and to help them see the benefits of keeping their body in motion.

  50. Very well said. I am already working on products that help small business owners understand and take control of their financial records–without doing everything themselves. I define what they can delegate, and what they should not; and how to keep control of what they delegate–without taking it back.

I appreciate your skill in presenting this information. It helped me to stay on track and focused on the product.

    Thank You!

  51. Thanks for that Greg!

2 very different Info Products come to mind.

    1. A “Parent’s Guide” with enjoyable, educational activities that parents can use to build the bond with their children.

    2. A Professional SEO training for small business owners to learn the basics of how to get top SEO rankings which equals more clients and more sales.

Love the training! Keep it coming!
    J

    1. Hi Jeff – since there a LOT of SEO products out there, what specific niche could you choose that would allow you to really gain advantage and authority? In other words, focus on a niche, as SEO is awfully large.

  52. Thanks for very clear hints on product development! A problem that I have solved many times is HOW TO FIND A VERY CHEAP RELIABLE CAR? I could perhaps share some expertise on this. Looking forward to the coming webinars. Erkki

  53. Hi Greg,

Let me thank you first for all the emails and videos you’d sent for me, I do always appreciate it, together with the rest of the other emails I’d received ever since.

This video contents are straight forward, clear and precise about creating a certain product; and could be use as a valuable concept to create something that is of an efficient and profitable business, regardless of what nature it is.

Depending on how people look at it, as what often business people conclude about; that almost every inspiration and creativity, talents and skills that we possess can be turned into something else, like business itself. For the reason of financial security and other tangible resources. And that would make a reasonable endeavour for almost everyone of us, since we are all living in a material world.

By knowing or identifying what the customer needs, and even what we need, can be the first step. Crisis comes when what we need collides with our beliefs and values; and maybe that is how the power of philosophy comes in handy, in order to bridge and deal with the present life in terms of worldly needs and affairs versus our spiritual endeavours in this lifetime.

Looking forward on your next video 🙂

    Many thanks,

    Hazel

  54. Hi Greg, I love the idea. I haven’t come up with anything for my current business yet, but you’ve got me thinking. I look forward to learning more strategies, as I have a several interests outside my current business that I would also like to explore.
    Thanks again,
    Gord

  55. Great post and content Greg. You always deliver!

As an entrepreneur and consultant I am often confronted with questions – challenges related to maintaining a healthy balance between business, family, fun, philanthropy, and personal interest.

Though the problem is very evident I have been struggling with the appropriate wording for the answer. Any insight you would be willing to offer (or anyone else that reads the post) would be appreciated.

Something along the lines of “10 Powerful Secrets to Leading a Balanced Life and Running a Super-Successful Business!”

  56. Thanks Greg – You are reminding me that I should be marketing my knowledge and making money from the information that I mostly give for free – apart from my clients.

I am a nutritionist and people continually ask what they can do to be healthy – deal with stress – what they should eat to stay healthy – how they can get off medicines and be more healthy without the need for medication – sports people want to know what to eat to build muscle, stamina etc.

These are just some of the many questions – I could prepare a pgm say :-
“10 steps to being healthy in a stressful world”
“7 steps to changing your health”
“7 steps to balancing your sugar levels and fight fatigue”

I am sure I could come up with many more

Look forward to the next video step because my biggest obstacle is how to market a product on the internet without it affecting my business as a nutritionist which takes most of my day.

    1. The great thing about products is that THEY do the marketing for you and bring in new clients, while you’re busy delivering the higher and better value for higher levels of service (and price).

  57. Nicely done, lot’s of wonderful information. I have never thought about creating my own product, I market as my own business things other folks create. As an immediate response I’d create an easy step by step guide for folks who desire to live a more naturel, organic life. I’d teach them how to evolve there homes, diets, clothing, personal care products and pet care products. For the person who has never considered it before, moving into a more organic lifestyle can be daunting. The average person can’t just make a swift change. This would enable those who choose this path to do it gradually and at a pace they can afford.

  58. Thank you for sharing such great content, Greg!

I came up with 4 product possibilities after watching your video. I’ll share one here:
I could create and record a 7 part tele-series titled:
Healing the World with Self-Love: 7 Steps to Loving Yourself Without Having to Change Who You Are.

I look forward to the rest of your videos!
    Many Thanks,
    Lynnet

  59. Hi Greg.
I am going to give if all a try .. and you have to gather strength, believe me.
I give a business-operational guidance for small and medium organizations.
One industrie focus: infrastructure piping manufacturers.
I help identify & solve problems, waste, conflicts & anger in all departments of the plant. So saving precious time & money, keeping & moving information & materials, without obstacles.
I help to build a solid, flexible and easy to manage operational infrastructure, that brings peace, order, control and security to managers & owners. So workers will perform their Predetermined priority tasks.
I help enterprises select challenging goals for the future, to improve and move together to achieve them. These reinforce responsibility and involvement, creating a good working environment.
Problem focus: Customers suffering from frustration due to inner conflicts and lack of control over internal processes. But, they say “every business has problems. I addresse mine myself. Problems not run out and resolved. Anyway, how do I know what are my problems? should I treat them? where should I start, what is the most important?”
Greg, If you reached this far, you deserve a big hug & then a vacation, I already feel like going to sleep, but little more (feel free to make a cup of coffee), I grabbed a wonderful cake that Hadas (my amazing new wife) made.
    And the product is:
Problems and frustration in your business?
If it does not kill you, it wears you out of business!
So how to handle? Click the button for receiving the free dashboard “Business Primary Check-Up” survey, a simple self-diagnostic process for your Business.
    The end .. for now
    Thank you

  60. Excellent video.. Great insight & looking forward to seeing more presentations… I am into real estate investing and have a business model that I want to create a webinar or teleseminar on.. the video showed me that this can be achieved

  61. Thank you Greg, that was very educational and inspiring. The example of raw food classes was very timely as I’ve been thinking of similar classes for the marginalized and hadn’t thought of recording it. Will work on creating an outline by this weekend.

    Thanks for the free training.

    1. That’s a great example of how creating a product can help a LOT more people, a lot more cost-effectively. You could create a program specifically to show people how to create raw food on a budget – a cost-effective approach to raw food.

  62. Thanks so much for this, Mr. Habstritt. I love the way you present info. You get me so inspired and energized when I’m stuck with no ideas, no options, and lots of overwhelming “What am I supposed to do now?”.

  63. This might be what I need. I have an ebook that I have been writting to help people solve problems in my field of expertise. I was working with a publisher but it is not going the way I think I want it to go. I look forward to session II.

  64. Thank you very much, Greg. Great content as always 🙂
I would go with the combination of Art/ Inspiration.
My questions; HOw to generate more traffic to my site/product ? (How to be ranked higher on Google or get more fans on Facebook ?) Marketing, etc. other specific steps. Thanks a lot.

  65. Loved the video. A product? I am over 50 and out of shape so I went looking for easy exercises and weight loss solutions for people who were very unfit. I didn’t find any. There had to be other people like myself who were winded after the warm up in most programs. I have done some research written a few articles and even made an e-book but it is not very good. So now I am looking for the next step. How to make a GOOD product. Can you help with that.

  66. Thanks Greg! Nothing is ever free, right?

My idea centers around building your own home, and the benefits and pitfalls.

  67. Greg
Thanks for all you are doing for the entrepreneur. You have given me more ideas than I can handle……..I would really appreciate your feedback on their validity.

I have spent many years in accounting, in both the public and private sectors, and I teach a computer accounting programs one on one in the clients office and tailor it to their specific needs.

Ususally this works well but occasionally the client just doesn’t get it, or the business just doesn’t, at this point, require complicated bookkeeping that no one has time to do.

There are online courses that teach the mechanicas of the system; I have thought of building an online course, while not specific to any type of business, that teaches the “why’s” as well as the “how’s” of the computerized accounting process. – or perhaps even just the “why’s” “what’s” of accounting. “Why is that considered an asset?” What is a payable?” “Why does this go there?” and “what does all this mean?”

For those that doesn’t get, doesn’t need it, or doesn’t want complications, we have developed a way of using Excel in a very simple way that allows the small or new business owner to see what he is doing and manage GST remittances easily, saving the expense of having an accountant do all the bokkeeping at year end, making it easy to do any required adjustments. In some cases, this is all the client wants or needs. When and if required, the data can easily be transferred to a more complex system.
    Could this be a product?

A question that has come up often the last few years is:
“I work in the oilfield; my employer wants me to incorporate and work as a subcontractor,(or I just started my own business) what do I need to do?”
A course for new business owners, outlining the necessary steps and requirements?

And a comment I heard on talk radio one day …. “No on ever told me I had to do income tax! Now the government has caught up with me, and I will be paying forever.
It seems that our so-called “Life Skills” courses in school are missing some very basic and important information.
A course on “Canadian Survival” outlining basics like income tax, GST, employment insurance, etc.? Perhaps this could be sold to schools?

Again, thank you. Your comments will be greatlyl appreciated.

  68. Thank you Greg….your delivery style is very…down to earth…Keep up the great work. Still thinking about my product…got a few up my sleeve 🙂

  69. Great video presented in plain English. (no marketing wank words like back ends, front ends and long tails)
I have been teaching Horticulture for 15 years (in a classroom setting) and most of my friends see me as their personal garden adviser.
I can clearly see that producing online training courses and manuals would be a logical step for me.

  70. Hi Greg, i love your videos and is a great fan of Engaged Entrepreneur, I love the text with audio in this video.
We have a substantially high failure rate amonst small businesses in my country, so it got me thinking how to address this and what could be the real cause…so i came up with the idea of developing a product that will help people make the transition from employee to entrepreneur, since I have been there myself I think it will make a HUGE difference in the success rates of business…a lot of people quit their jobs and see entrepreneurship as a way to freedom but soon face disastrous results!

  71. I am new to this and it can be very intimidating when I see others who are already established in a field of expertise. I am starting a new path and still in the process of gaining knowledge. I believe I can develop a product while I am in the learning process, and this video was very clear and helpful. I have a couple of product ideas. I’m finding it hard to focus on a specific area. I want my product line to be a journey into finding oneself. I will start by addressing the tangible problems like weightloss and lowering the cost of prescription drugs by changing your diet. Maybe start with a free ebook on a couple herbs and their healing properties. Then maybe also create an ebook on how to get healthy by choosing natural foods and supplements. I have a direct sales business in nutrition and could interview the product formulator about nutrition and have that audio free. Just some ideas. Thanks for the video and I hope to see more!

  72. 2nd time through — my question, if you wouldn’t mind sharing, is: What technology are you using to create the videos?

  73. I’m developing a multi-media seminar and book on creativity. My work applies to personal creativity and business or career creativity. I can take people through a creative journey that will help them solve problems and learn a great deal about their creative self at the same time. Most of my research is complete and I now need to engage my entrepreneurial self to manifest products and consulting. Thank you for helping so many people in a very clear fashion.

  74. Greetings;

I really enjoyed your information packed video. I am a weight loss coach and have written an e-book entitled “winning the inner game of weight loss”. I would like to created an online presentation around this manual and encourgae clients to signup for my 12 week coaching program. I would appreciate any feedback. Your attention to this matter is greatly appreciated.

  75. Thanks again Greg for the awesome knowledge. My expertise is in selling and erecting steel buildings of all sizes. Often there are customers who do not want to pay the erection costs and believe that they can do it themselves. I would like to write a manual outlining the process and steps necessary for erecting your own steel building. Would love to hear your feedback.

  76. Thanks Greg, for tweaking my thinking. I had a few ideas come to mind while watching your video. Since I live a fairly self sufficient life, both with my health and lifestyle, I could come up with something related to that. Now to solve the five biggest problems people encounter with self sufficient living. Look forward to video 2.

  77. Thank You!
It is another awesome video of yours. I amactually doing a course in Rome on becoming an entreprenur. We are studyng business plam. My idea was to deliver to Italian peopleEnglish lessons, but it turned out that to start a new school will cost quite a lot. I was then suggested to do something ober the Internet, such as English lesson via Skype or recordings of lessons and sell them to the one interested. I am just at the beginning f this activity, bt with more powerfull insights and intuition I might be on the right track to begin some “product creation”.

  78. Thanks Greg,
Leverage is definitely the key to expanding any business.

I am working on a product at the moment that provides 100% reusable and recyclable pallets for enhanced handling of FIBC bags. Once developed for a single client this product could be used for many clients in many industries.

    Best regards

    Bob

  79. Hi Greg,

The problem: listening to Internet Radio Music on crummy computer speakers.

The Solution: Educating listeners on how they can play Internet Radio through their home stereo or car speakers.

    I enjoyed video #1!

    Thanks!

  80. I work to integrate the power of the Internet with the power of traditional marketing to help businesses increase profit, grow and accomplish their business goals. I work with nonprofits, corporations and entrepreneurs.

Currently, I am helping create a product for a client. I intend to also create my own and have been racking my brain as to how to do this since what I do is highly customized to each business. It seems to be easier to do this for others than for yourself. 🙂

Lately, I have been thinking about helping nonprofits learn to harness the Internet. Very few have expertise or even knowledge about how to do this step by step. For me, it would fulfill my own passion for making people’s lives better especially those with disadvantages.

One of my clients is successful with a pilot program designed to eradicate extreme poverty. They are ready to expand and are receiving requests from multiple developing countries to grow programs in their countries. To accomplish this, they need a swift infusion of money. That’s where I come in. I’m creating a brand new method online to do so utilizing joint venture partners who are gurus in their fields. Are you interested? Please email me. I would be honored to receive feedback and help.

  81. Hi Greg,

Thanks for sharing, the video is great. I knew before what my product is but for sure you’ve showed a whole bigger point of view to for me to see how it works that other “sub” products have already been created to my mind! Oh I’m a musician/songwriter, songs are my products! Looking forward to the next video!

  82. Wonderful information, I have many information in different subject that I could write a procedure or a brochure.

    Sincerely

  83. Hi Greg, great content! I have seen many entrepreneurs selling all these information digital products but have not thought about developing a product myself. Too many ideas in different niche markets special interest in traveling (guides, or tips) and parenting (guides or tips). considering to start with a Cd or video.

Can’t wait to watch the next video. you are a source or inspiration to many!

  84. I am hoping your video series will help give me the push to do what I already know but an a little too afraid to begin.

My idea for an easy product creation.
What to know before planning your independent travel in India.

  85. Great Video…I am thinking about this…I have a lot of knowledge with therapeutic massage how do I get to the newbies that need this info???
Thank you….I have been a mentor 5 Times and have a way after training to answer questions on phone before they go in and treat the client.
    Thank you,
    Victoria

  86. A good presentation that should help in converting an “intellectual” interest in a spice crop – ginger – into a sourcve of income. My country has been having a serious problem in disease affecting the growing of ginger and I think that what I have gathered will greatly help to solve the problem.

  87. Hi Greg, loved the video and your clear explanation.
My expertise is in teaching children about money and enterprise.
I am putting together a course for parents – “How to teach your kids to grow up financially free.”

Teaching kids about money was the number 2 financial need of Canadians in a recent survey so there should be a large demand around the world.

  88. Thanks Greg, I look forward to video 2 and beyond. One idea for our real estate investing would be to help renters understand how they can become home owners through our program.

On another side of our business, helping corporate party planners (in house only) to put on the best corporate party their business has ever seen and make you seem like a genius.

  89. Thanks for helping spur me into further action. I look forward to your future videos.

I believe my first product will be a set of multimedia tutorials teaching non-techy people how to set up and operate their own professional looking, easily maintained website, which they have complete control over, don’t need to hire a web developer to set up, and can be proud to call theirs.

All that’s needed is a modern web browser and the ability to follow directions via text, images, audio and/or video, depending upon their preferred learning style. No need to understand a lick of HTML or any of those other fancy internet acronyms.

    Let the educating begin.

  90. Already wrote an article for my newletter (that I haven’t kept up) called ” Six Easy Ways to Avoid Back Pain” ….maybe I can expand on that.

I’m a massage therapist with lots of ideas…so will get busy drilling down to my target market.

  91. Hello Greg,
Well this is something it go me interested in. I have read all the comments and I could use already a few of the writers info or tutorials.
I am for myself in the cabinetmaking /construction /service sector and I have over my professional lifetime of 40 years heard all kind of problems.
I have my own little woodworking business and you gave me some hints what I could offer on the internet that consumers could answers for. Iam the real Handyman and could have some very basic tips that could solve problems and in turn save them lots of money.
My problem is at this point I have no clue how to but that on the net.
There is my problem and I could use some input from outthere.
Thank you Greg I am listening and watching your stuff all the time.

  92. Hi Greg,

Thank you very much for all the information you provide. It is extremely well put together, intelligently simple and for me, invaluable. Also, some of the concepts in themselves are very transferable to other areas of life.
Thank you again for sharing your expertise.

I look forward to your upcoming videos.

    Sincerely,

    Louis

  93. As always great video, very useful my products will be ” 7 step to save electricity will using our air-conditioning system.”

    Alex

  94. Greg, you’ve intrigued me with the notion that I could offer simple products that would convert my expertise into leveraged income. I am an operations research analyst. I make spreadsheet-based decision analysis tools for senior executives. I would like to develop a global base of clients who seek out my unique approach, which I call the Praxis Assessment System. My clients will hire me to build a custom tool for them to use in project selection and portfolio management decisions. Then they’ll pay me to train them on maintaining the product. I will also teach them how to make their own tools with me serving as a consultant. The process of creating, employing, and maintaining an assessment framework for decision analysis can be described as a 12 Step Process. The steps are the same for all types of clients, even though the details of each client will be different. Basic outline of the 12 step process would be generic enough to appeal to a broad range of potential clients. “12 Steps to Better Decisions with the Praxis Assessment System.”

  95. Hi Greg,

Great video. My company is in the transportation design business. Your video has definitely got me thinkining about products that we could create. This is new teritory for us, as we normally sell service type products, versus information type products, but I believe this is a revenue stream that we could definitely tap into. Thanks for the information!

    Meagan

  96. Greg,
I have been following your recent emails with very helpful (and free) information. This video is no exception. Simplifies steps to take to make money. Here is my start at making internet money – I am a residential builder.
Situation: “What steps should I take to successfully remodel my kitchen?
E book: “Kitchen remodeling made fun and easy: the answer in 30 minutes”

Yes, please continue your educational videos!!!
    Alan Wheeler

  97. I think it’s good to re-evaluate the ‘problem’ you can solve for clients. As an entertainer I hope to inspire, but may need to re-think the product end of things, as CDs don’t sell as they used to, and music is so subjective.

  98. I am a LifeSuccess Consultant with Bob Proctors company. Having transitioned from one industry to another myself a couple of times and with the current economy causing people to transition to new jobs and industries I can create a series that will help people with the transition process.

  99. I would like to create an ebook intended for students of animation to introduce and explain the twelve principles of animation, which you need to know to become a competent animator.

  100. I actually watched video #2 first and decided I had to come back to this one. Once again you have simplified the topic down to “here’s what you have to do.”

I know you asked us to post what information we could offer. I have ideas that have already been percolating, but I admit to being afraid to give away the farm by talking about them before I’ve put them together.

  101. Greg, thanks so much. As always the quality and expertise you share in your teachings is top notch! I have been fortunate enough to be playing and working in the online conference and webinar world for over 5 years now and have enjoyed some great success co-producing live conference events with world leaders in the massage and bodywork industry. We have just complied almost 200 hours of training into a library where we can sell individual presentations or in packages and CD’s. We have packaged transcripts as well in the past. Since the time I did my first webinar I have loved the concept and the idea, and continue to work in this realm. My new project is in doing more in-person workshops because I love the interaction of a live event as well. I teach health and wellness workshops to woman, and business workshops to massage and body workers.

Your video training reminded me that I can create my workshops online as well. I can then create some little free mini segments on health and wellness, and shorter webinars that can lead to my target markets wanting more information and paying for the downloads and ebooks. I can use the mini segments (like the one you have created here) to sell the online workshops and ebook products, as well as lead people to the in-persona workshops. These mini segments and webinars will also make great tools (calling cards) to get me in the door of various groups when I want to sell myself as a speaker or presenter for others conferences etc, adding another great benefit to creating these tools.

Greg, I love how you have made this concept so accessible to so many people and that you have made it clear that anyone in any business is capable of doing this and getting results. You are a wonderful teacher and I continue to be inspired by your work.

    Thanks,
    Melanie

  102. In 2007, I produced a printed guide for expats called the Lima Survival Kit which gained a great reputation (500 pages of solid information and contact details)but I did not really work the website.
I am now doing the 2011 update, and having seen your video I realize that I should not only activate the website (which is being redesigned) on a weekly basis (maybe a brief blog?), but also sell the book in PDF format (maybe by chapters?). Maybe monthly videos too, on certain people and places in the arts or tourist destinations, or step-by-step cooking of local foods.
I also want to produce an e-book on natural herbal remedies.

  103. WOW is all I can say I have been wanting to work with more clients (I am an RMT, Yoga and Pilates instructor and live in a very desired place and always get asked questions about living here) I had not thought about how easy this will be….yes please send all the videos to get me started….my mind is racing with cool ideas and I am very very excited! My product (first one will be called ‘7 simple steps to inner peace in a double expresso life’

  104. I feel like I’m at the back of the theatre, paying close attention. I like what you share but unsure to go to the front.Thankyou.

    1. Hi Emilia – that’s the great thing about this – you don’t have to go to the front if you don’t want to! Just glad that you’re enjoying what I’m sharing and that you’re getting value from it.

  105. As a 30 year veteran construction superintendent I was thinking about a series of training videos on the core competencies of a construction superintendent or project manager. It sure would test my knowledge.

  106. Hi Gregg,

Thank you so much for this great information!
The problem for me is to DO it!! Go through the fear of not sure, not good enough, not….
Well, that’s the past, now I want to make an online training ‘7 steps to more balance, more energy en more life! With instructional video’s, manuals, mp3, transcripts and group coaching.

    Jacqueline

  107. As an information management professional I could create a website to categorize and host all these training videos. This would allow users to search for training topics and view everyone’s videos.

  108. This is a great idea! I am working on a book right now and I believe I may be able to use these ideas to create some income from the process of writing it! I am a mortgage broker and I am writing a book about mortgages and my experiences. I believed the book to be my product so far, but now I can see I may want to turn it into several!

Keep up the great work! I look forward to video 2!

    Cheers,

    Scott

  109. Greg,

Great content! I have been looking for a way to get started in information products and did not know where to start.
I am finding many people that I talk to dont know how to find the balance in life. I want to come up with a program that will let them have the balance of living La Dolce Vita (The Sweet Life) while pursuing their passion and fully enjoying Life!!

  110. Hello Greg,
Thank you for all the great free information – you really do want to help people succeed in life and I think your passion shows in the video I just watched. As a Calgarian who fell in love with Las Vegas and just loves all the great experiences that are available down there at different price levels for anyone and everyone to enjoy – I want to help people to have a great holiday [regardless of how much money they have to spend] in Las Vegas – my favorite vacation spot and a place I know very well 🙂 I am thinking of titling my seminars and/or online materials “Don’t Waste Your Time or Money in Las Vegas!” I for one can’t wait for your next video to come online! Thank you for inspiring me to get moving on it as a business. BL

  111. You hit the nail right on its head with this one.
I have always wanted to explore this area. You have given me the get up and go to do it.
I am a newly licensed Mortgage Agent who is interested in starting a lease to own company. My passion here is to help the credit challenged become home owners. with recent financial crisis, these poeple are being left out of the home ownership arena. I think there are a lot of good people out there who can be responsible, if only someone will show some faith in them.
So, I think the problem I would like to solve… is help credit challenged families purchase their own home.

  112. Hi Greg,
Thank you so much for the videos and your insights! I am VERY interested in learning from you and taking this course.
    Best regards,
    Bart

  113. Hi Greg:
Thank you for your eductional videos. I love the way you teach and your unique way of making things simple and easy to understand. I always enjoy and learn a lot from you from your video series and blogs. The product I am thinking of about financial education. Over the last three years I have been learning a lot about financial education and especially about the knowledge of money. What I have learned really transform the way I think of money and I know that money is one of the biggest problem in my Tibetan community. Also, I have a very distinct previleges of meeting His Holiness the Dalai Lama several times in my life and repeatedly advice to get knowledge in specialized field. I feel that lack of financial education, especially amoung Tibetans is one of the biggest problem and people are struggling every day. Therefore, I choose to educate my community about how money works and how to take control of personal finance. My first financial education product will be called “Seven Steps to Take Control of Your Personal Finance”. I can teach in Tibetan as well as in English.

Once again, thank you so much for all of your educational blogs and vidoes and I look forward to other series.

    -Karma

  114. Greg, a great delivery. I’m watching and listening to you ongoing. Your style suits me to a tee.

My product will be a book that is going to really take people down to their core by asking tough, tough questions. America is persishing and it’s because, I believe, we’ve become fat, lazy, complacent, undisciplined, entitlement-minded, weak physically and more importantly mentally. The character elements that made this country great are in short supply and I intend to challenge people to take back control of their minds. Hopefully we can regain our ground soon enough!

  115. Hi Greg, I like how straightforward your videos are. It leaves it up to the ‘entrepreneur’ to do something with the knowledge.
However, I agree with one of the posts below about posting my idea here and it being stolen away!! 😉 Mine involves functional spaces…
    Thank you,
    Jennifer

    1. Hi Jennifer – I didn’t notice the other post you referred to in terms of other people ‘stealing your ideas’. To be really honest, I don’t really think too much about the possibility of someone stealing my ideas and using them. The truth is, even if I posted all of the best ideas I have right now for products that would sell a LOT, here’s what would happen: (1) almost nothing. Most people wouldn’t use them anyway. Human nature, even if they were million dollar ideas. (2) I have confidence that I can deliver the material in a valuable way, and if someone else tried, it wouldn’t be ‘my’ product or offer. Mine would always be different, so it’s always unique. Most of the topics I talk about here, I’m not the only one that covers those topics. It’s not WHAT you talk about … it’s HOW to talk about it and present it.

  116. I video taped a presentation I did for baseball coaches at the Mohegan Sun World Coaches Convention in CT on the topic…ARM CARE and LONG TOSS 350’=95mph. I also have my power point slides/notes as well. I am in the process of getting some feedback from some experts. By the way if Connor ever decides to play baseball…I hope you contact me! Great content and thanks for all you do.

  117. Great stuff.. now you have me thinking How do I get my experiences and information packaged in a form that is sellable. I thinks that’s where most persons fail – talking from experience

  118. Thanks Greg! Great video

My business is dog training – topic = Dog behaviour problems solved

“I can’t believe that’s my dog” – but you will with my “5 steps to a contented dog”

  119. Hi Greg,

Thank you for the info you have shared with us. The product i would like to

create would be a manual for hospitalised patients. The purpose of the manual is to create a sense of tranquility for the patient. He will be guided to recieving any kind of treatment.

    Sincerly,

  120. Hi Greg can you tell me what can I do in my situation. I have a wife that bakes cakes for different occasions to 99% Spanish customers. She is doing this at home. MY son and I are planning to create videos teaching how to bake the cake themselves to be delivered on the internet. At $35.00 dollars a pound some people may find it a little expensive. MY question is how can I prevent people from ordering the product and then cancel the order after they learn how to make the cakes. I know I can put a limit on the time for refund guarantee and how can I have them post the vids on the internet and when someone cancel I can eliminate access to the video.

  121. Currently operate a property management business and I am a partner in a construction/renovations business. I would love to create products like
“3 steps to maximizing your rental income”, or “5 questions to ask your contractor before signing the contract” or …

  122. Hi Greg,

I don’t know anyone who delivers concise and useful content in such
a clear and direct way. Thank you.

I am involved in the tourism business and could write an ebook

“How to maximize and optimize your vacation experience”
or “Seven Steps to a hassle-free vacation in Europe”

  123. I have 3 main workshops (Dreams, Intuition & Mediumship Development) and although most of the workshops have a great deal of hands on exercises; there is likely a great deal of information that I could put on a video; especially dreams.

My meditation book can be put on videos and sold as a set or daily meditation which can be put on a power point, ipod or something. My mind is buzzing with all kinds of ideas! Very Exciting

  124. I am a small entrepreneur, summer time, in quebec city. I do stucco, cement, adex, parging on the concrete fondation of houses. I also repair cracks on the concrete fondation of the houses or buildings. That mean I stop water infiltration from the concrete fondation of the buildings.
I am very good at what I do. I sell 95% of my prospect clients.
I do beleive that 95% of the new owners of the new houses receive a crépi (decorative ciment on the fondation of the house) that will not not last more than one year before it begins to break up. I very often re-do jobs that are less than 5 years old.
It is just that in the last 10 years, many unspecialized people ( dry wall guys, new cements students graduated, brick layers… ) have introduced themselves into this specialized market.
I could teach about: cracks repairs ( a big worry for everyone that have cracks ), how to do a crepi job properly too last and to be beautiful at the same time.

  125. Greg,
I sell real estate and live in an area that people want to retire to and vacation in. I could do a video series of the different neighborhoods, the lifestyles and atmosphere thay provide to help them make a decision on where they should buy when the time is right.

  126. Hello Greg and thanks fot the great video!
Well my product could be “An easy and cheap way to repair or protect your motorbike’s damaged parts.”

  127. Good afternoon, Greg. Thank you for your generosity.

The first thing that popped into my mind is to create a product on “7 Gentle & Easy Ways to Relieve Neck and Shoulder Pain”.

I have read, researched and applied (self-help techniques) so much on this topic to help myself after several accidents that created this challenge, and have found the best and most effective ways to achieve immediate and long-lasting results.

I would like to help people with similar struggles with neck and shoulder pain – to prevent it from getting worse, and to actually experience relief and comfort.

  128. We created a product called ‘PortShore’s Complete Project Package (CPP). This is a materials management service for Project Teams. Basically, the Project Owner identifies the materials required for the project, and we bulk buy, stock and deliver to project site as required. This ensures no material related slippage, no rejects, time delivery, economy of bulk purchase etc. So far, no one seems to see the beauty of this yet, and we are yet to secure our first contract.

  129. I could produce ten (or another number) easy meals in a format of downloading one a day. These meals would be simple and generally contain what a person has on hand in their kitchen or galley already. Accompanied by wonderful wines, easily found on the website, of course.

  130. I really enjoyed your video training. My product will ne 7 strategies to create and manage a successful business in Nigeria

  131. I am an aspiring writer, and have a passion to create a line of cards that help people communicate more elloquently, through using the wisdom of the ages, borrowing public domain quotes and the mindsets of our great thinkers throughout history. This will entail much research and preparation, and before I invest that much time, I want to hone my target audience, and/or my product.

    My question is:

How do I research my target market/locate the small niche so I can dominate my market?

    1. Hi Holly – the best way is to engage your market in a conversation, using things like a good blog and going into discussions forums etc. You need to really uncover what their biggest wants and desires are, as well as their problems and frustrations .. instead of assuming you know what they are. I did a blog post previously on choosing a target market which might help you as well. http://engagedentrepreneur.com/2010/08/09/where-most-entrepreneurs-go-wrong-choosing-your-target-market/

  132. Hi Greg, I like your videos very much. They are helpful in many ways. Now you have inspired me to create 3 new products. Here we GO!
I am in different businesses: I running a newspaper, conducting workshops and coaching people.
    1.
Newsletters twice a month, JUST WITH HAPPY NEWS, that make you feel really GOOD. Product name: The Happy Newsletter. Price: 11.99$ for 10 letters.
    2.
The INSPIERING ´Newsletter. A letter that inspiring you (if not money back)
    5 letters. 22.99$.
    3.
The ANSWERING MACHINE: send any question in any field and you got a personal answer based on wisdom and experience. Price: 22$/question.

  133. I’ve already created a ‘Garden Design Workbook’, but unsure whether I should offer it free or charge for it.

I could also reduce the amount of free info on my website and use it instead to create, for example:

*’5 facts you need to know about protecting your house, family and pets from bushfire’

    * ‘(20) drought tolerant plants for carefree gardening. (The problem for non-Sydneysiders is that I specialise in plants indigenous to the greater Sydney region)
    * ‘7 secrets of the world’s great gardens’

  134. We always have customers interested in our one of a kind products and asking if we can make custom dresses for them. It seems like it would take too much time to actually do this and I am not convinced they would want to pay the price tag for one. Maybe we could create a video or instructional pdf talking to them about how to select their own fabrics and create their own dream dress.

  135. I have expertise in tax liability showing that participation in the social security scheme is totally voluntary for Americans living & working exclusively within the USA, and that the so-called “income tax” has nothing whatsoever to do with the voluntary taxes paid by unwitting Americans for future social security benefits. In fact, no such American has ever paid such “income tax” in his/her entire life for the simple reason it does not apply to them as a matter of law. This, of course, is not legal advice; I simply show folks what the law actually requires as it is plainly written. My problem is, most folks are so fearful of the IRS that even if they do learn this irrefutable truth, they find it easier to remain slaves than be free men and women. Furthermore, were I to market this information, I am certain I would come under vicious attack by the government thieves as have others I know. Any suggestions?

    1. Tough market to be in, if you’re not willing to step into the spotlight and be subject to attack by the government. You could do it under a pen name, but being able to get paid would be the challenge. You may be able to set up a payment structure through an off shore credit card merchant processor or something like that, but certainly something that carries with it a lot of risks!

    2. Hi David,

have not paid any income tax for over 20 years. Let’s talk on the phone, I have some ideas. (415) 458-2949

  136. Thank you Greg for the video. I have attended several of your webinar’s and read much of your writings. I really appreciate all the good info you are putting out. I have been trying to come up with some ideas, and this video put an idea in my head. Yesterday I had to get on a contractor for the poor quality of his work, the poor design of the product, and the “don’t care” attitude. Your video made me think of a product to help businesses correct the problems I just listed. So thanks again for your help.

  137. I have been a multi-unit restaurant franchisee in the inner city for 21 years and one of the biggest problems I have faced is trying to get employees to provide excellent customer service. Over the years, I found that I had to overhaul my beliefs and attitude before I could get positive results from my employees. It has been a long hard road, but I have increased my sales by 50% over the last three years. Most people delude themselves that they love working the people (that’s because they are only think of their friends and family), and when they have deal with the general public they don’t have the emtional skills to deal with it. I would like to make this into a product for sale for restaurant/ business owners.

  138. I have knowledge of bodies and styling and know what garment to advise so the the woman who wears my clothes feel self esteem and confidence.
I could create a video that shows how certain garment fit certain body type and make them look good .
I am also very much hands on fitting made to measure clothes I could also create a video showing how to fix fitting problems .
I also do trunk show and end up with lots of stock unsold because it is not the right size or color ,How can I get what they want so that I can deliver exactly the clothes they want with my special touch and great price and made to measure service ?and money back guaranty if it does not fit .
I need your help greg as I am struggling with the format to make this big .I love the idea of the leverage income it makes total sense .I am also struggling with using all the modern technology to make this video thanks for the consideration.

  139. The basic steps of starting a business with no money(capital)

to help aspirant entrepreneur’s follow their passion and get what they want, the money(capital) issue is killing ambitions.

    Hi Greg

I have no technical skills to create a website and believe that my exposure and knowledge can help a lot of people to explore their potential.
Same goes for me, i do not have capital, but the insight you shared that i can get paid for selling an idea is awesome.(My ideal website would be

http://www.daveinformecial.co.za , i am trying to create it.

    Regards

    David Mashishi

  140. This is a great video and I have learnt a lot from it but there is only one thing I am at a loss to know what knowledge I have so I can turn it into a product. Maybe I am thinking what I have is not good enough to help solve problems. And here I go again always putting limits on what I can and can’t do. I always find excuses and there isa one thing that I have gotten from your videos and that is I have recognised that it is me who has to take responsibility and get off my butt. Also stop with the self pity. I have a number of fields that I could do something about turning my knowledge into a product. I jjust need a little more time to think about it.

  141. Hi Greg,
Thank you for sharing. Your video only reinforces my desires to create leveraged income. I have an ebook on teaching people how to detox using lemon juice. My next product will be teaching people the basics of stock investment, especially with stock options. I am currently a dissatisfied customer of a stock option coaching program which I paid a lot for. I felt my coach/trainer is not committed towards my success. I am so frustrated that I want to learn all about options and create a simple to understand ebook for all the beginners or novice who are facing the same challenge as me.
    Thx & Rgds,
    Roland.

  142. Greg this is insightfull information. Thank you.

I’m a real estate agent and from buyers, they ask about foreclosures and getting a good deal; from sellers they ask about how to get the most
money for their home in this market.

  143. I would like to produce e-books on the following topics;
1.How to developing your own website in few steps?
2.All you wanted to know about Sushi but were afraid to ask?
    3. Learn computer programming skills for data analysts using R-programming and and typesetting using Latex

  144. i am looking to do a seminar followed by a workshop on “getting people to move” to face their fears and live their dreams. its a group coaching, i will give live demo by working on fears of one or two individuals and helpin g them to move behind their fears and achieving their goals. this, i call putting learning in practice.
i want to audio record it and later change it in video with PowerPoint presentation and at the end using the video testimonials of people i transform their live it will in format of before and after clips.

  145. I am a retired doctor. I was able to simplify my patient’s problems and give practical solutions. The patients always asked me to make audios on each topic, so they did not forget the solutions as life again overwhelmed them as soon as they reached home. I could make short 2-4 minutes audios for each topic.
Thank you Greg for the clarity in your information which makes it easy to apply immediately.
    Lots of thanks and appreciation….

    1. Fantastic idea! I have elderdly parents who frequently visit the doctor, and by the time Mum has got Dad back into the wheelchair, then into the car, then haome again, and back into bed, both of them have forgotten everything the doctor said. Plus, something in writing saying which pills need to be taken with food etc whould be fantastic – neither of them can read the small print on the pill container.
      Good luck, a great idea.

  146. Thanks for the great video and the assignment:

I call my process: “Web Potential Assessment”

With over 40 years in business and a mid-life career change taking me from consulting to web design and Internet marketing – combined with an on-going passion for online technology – I can look at any “old style” website and see the profit potential gained by adding the latest cloud tools (Google Places, Social Media and Mobile Marketing).

After watching your video, I’m looking at creating multiple packages:
    – A basic “Assessment” – a web site review
    – Offering Business Projects (creating and adding the new tools)
    – Creating recorded workshops – a Walk-through and Talk-through an Assessment
    – adding a video of an Assessment for a YouTube promotion.

This is not selling new websites but going beyond the web, extending business sales and service into the cloud.

The only barrier, happily, is the overwhelm, when I think of those millions of pages that need an assessment 🙂

  147. I’m an Engineer; I worked all my life with innovation. I wrote a lot about the challenge I had to face, during that time. Recently one of my articles was translate to 4 languages. I’m going to create immediately an “how to” e book. It would address several problems and point out ways to prevent, avoid or get around and also show how I did manage to get the best solution. I have 30 years of experience in all sectors (private, academic and politics’ field)

  148. This sounds simple & smart, I also follow a business entrepeneur training in Holland and it is really an addition to what I learn. It helps me think about puttiing & combining my products into the dutch market in a way I can contribute to the quality of peoples life with the passiontest, yoga, meditation and life coaching.
Really internet, selling is not my best quality: I prefer interacting immediately face to face. (you know…. people people), but if this helps me to contribute and have a good income… why not do it? so thanks Gregg (I heard you were good at the seminar of Janet Bray Attwood and Chris Attwood. now I see it.)
Just a week ago I created a 6 step course “letting go for beginners” together with M Vaessen. This gives me the opportunity to even expand the ideas around it. Great!

  149. The training is indeed very interesting . However What age bracket might this training be addressing?
Was wondering if there is an age limitation . It sounds that this is much addresses to the younger age group who are savvy with the good ole’ Internet .

    1. The average Facebook user is 38 years old. 55+ users are the fastest growing segment of Internet use. It’s a myth that the Internet is only for young people!

  150. My product would be 5 Steps to Starting your own Fitness Plan

Thanks for the great information Greg it’s really helped me start moving in a direction that I have been thinking about for a while but not really sure how to proceed.

  152. Hi Greg, first let me say thank you for your “Converting knowledge into Money” video!
For sometime now i’ve had a desire to share information and have looked for motivational ways to do it (even in the form of a recorded song).
You see, I’m a musician who has spent over 25 years sharing music with audience’s throughout the U.S. Now I want to share information, knowledge and expierence on finding the right companion.

  153. I am on the business of selling Antioxidants and I would like to create a product selling Free Radicals. Free Radicals are the atoms who is responsible to most of our desease in our body. Therefore if I could create there awareness to the problem, in return they will use antioxidant which is the scavenger of free radicals. So my next step is to inroduce the right and most updated product to cure the problems of seekness.

  154. The juices are flowing. I need to make pdf files available of the Lima Survival Kit (a 500-page guidebook in a spiral binder for the expat community in Peru) to sell online in separate chapters (shopping, travel etc). Also create a cookbook of Peruvian ingredients and recipes, with how-to videos, maybe video sessions with famous chefs in Lima.

  155. Good job Greg.

I have a ton of information and personal experience dealing with health issues in my own life.

Much of it is already written down but I have no experience with technical web stuff or marketing and find it difficult to learn.

The core of my understanding is that we are not victims but creators and what we are suffering is the result of things we are doing unconsciously that results in poor health.

These unconscious beliefs and habits can be observed, understood and changed with proper guidance and a change of action. This is what I want to help people to do for themselves without much cost to them. Perhaps I can find a partner with similar interests that has technical skills to help get this information out.

    1. I want to create a product to teach others how to let go of worry. And in turn realize how worry undermines all we are trying to accomplish to become all that we could be.

  156. 1. How do I convert my knowledge of poetry into a product line?
    2. I have a camera; how do I make money out of taking pictures?
    3. Creating a business out of my telecoms knowledge has not been easy.
    4. I have a foot dragging feeling when it comes to practicing my knowledge of accounting. How do I get over this?
    5. I can teach anything I know. How do I start a class?

  157. Wow! Giving such valuable information and knowledge for free is just unbelievable!
Thank you for your time, your energy and the great content you share on this video, Greg.
I’m now waiting for the next videos.

  158. As a pharmacist I could help create an app to help people quit smoking which is a huge problem for the 70% of smokers who want to quit

  159. Superb. Thanks Gregg. My product would be “How to overcome your fear and master English language skills?”

  160. This 25-minute video teaching has just given me light on a long-term question of “how to harness my skills and experience for stressless profitability”.

  161. How your creative ADHD kid can be happy get amazing grades and be the charisma in class.

My personal intuitive tools, that opened my heart and passion to make ADHD as supertalaent that made my life exciting, my grades top notch, and my projects explode.

  162. As an artist/weaver/designer, I am used to creating physical products, mostly one-of a kinds, out of my own studio. My passions include recycling, upcycling, off-grid living, permaculture gardening, and so on. I am considering ways of creating a blog and information trainings which would link these and show people how to incorporate them into their own lifestyle. However, as a single female who has had problems with stalkers, I have security issues about personal branding or posting anything! How would you deal with this?

    1. I think it’s quite possible to communicate a public persona and share information about yourself without getting too personal. You could certainly take on a “persona” that you use, and it’s the real you except in name. So for example, you could use a moniker like “Off The Grid Girl” or something (that’s a bad name but just an example) and post through that personality. You then never reveal more than your first name online. As long as you’re careful about using privacy protection on your website domain, etc., it would be possible to avoid any risk of a physical stalker. Having said all that, I wouldn’t be overly concerned about having a stalker – if that were to keep you from pursuing your passion and helping others, that would be a shame. Sure it’s a risk, but not a probability and something you can deal with.

  163. This video inspired me a lot but my question is how to manifest in reality.

    Many Thanks : Narender

  164. I’m finishing a book about creating reality TV shows. The first book is about how to create and test a concept, and the second one is how to write the treatment. The next one will be about getting it into the hands of the decision makers. Hope we can get some positive TV shows out there. I have four coming in January and they don’t hurt any people or animals!

  165. Product Creation-seems to be the theme. My product would be how to deliver a high quality home school experience without stress.

    1. Would love to get your info on this. I would promote this to churches and homeschool associations. Great idea. I home schooled my kids starting in middle school and did not know where to start or what info to look at. It was tough.

  166. Problem – many therapists struggle or fail in practice because they get no business training and small business coaching is too “big business” and expensive. Solution short, simple step by step “7 steps to building your dream practice to support your ideal lifestyle” workbooks and teleseminar.
Question – how do I get customers to find my stuff amongst the trillions of pages?

  167. Love it! The idea for a product and my research on how to do it has been going o for some time and now you gave me the final steps, yey! I have several products that can be shared through this model and the first one will be ” “Stay grounded on- and off-stage- a guide for the devoted actor”

  168. wow. Greg, your presentation is so clear and easy to understand. God bless you! I will get into the homework soon.

  169. Fantastic Video. Please keep them coming!

  171. My favorite part of the video was how clearly it indicates how a service oriented business can leverage a service by turning it into a product. As for my own products, one of the first products I will put out there will be an online training series based on letting go of fears, bad habits and other forms of self-sabotage that commonly get in people’s way. Thanks for this video, it is fantastic to be in the business of helping others.

  172. Thanks Greg, you become more and more sensitive to tech kindergarten learners and really deiver to help us catch up. It’s too bad I am not being able to inspire people here to learn from your course. So many smart people who would benefit so very much, I guess when I can example what I am trying to promote they may begin to take me seriously. Thanks. I’m benefitting for myself, slow as I may be, and that is what matters right now.

This one was back in jan. Really well done btw.

  175. How to eat gluten-free food and still eat like a gourmet. I can offer recipes and cooking instructions, to add value i can offer a free report on reading labels. many people do not know the details of “disguised” information of products-example, there are many terms for MSG other than msg-if you are allergic you will need to know them all-same for gluten-free persons with celiac. thanks for the killer info! Dr. Mike

Where do I head with this – traditional publishing and marketing of that, or emarketing. Both require investment of approx $1000 as far as I can see.

  187. Small businesses/organizations fail to grow and scale because the founder cannot develop leadership within the business. They have to be involved in every decision which slows growth and causes frustration with good employees/volunteers that end up leaving. My program would deliver 3 critical solutions to this problem:
    1. Identifying your leadership gaps – what skills do you have now and what do you need to grow the business/organization
    2. Let others decide – How to empower your business/organization without losing control
    3. Stop pushing and start leading – How to get out in front of your business/organization so you can see where your going.

  188. I have thought of posting a blog on financial and estate planning for modest income individuals, with a free post on “How to get free or low cost legal forms and assistance”, but I do not believe this would be a very profitable niche. I would then develop additional short articles for sale or become an affiliate of online legal service providers. I am a licensed, but retired lawyer, but due to malpractice liability issues, I have to be very careful to distinguish between information and advice. I might do this, but I would need another site to produce higher rate of return.

  189. Excellent presentation! How to take care of oneself when helping others and taking care of your employees so they are able to care for others.

  190. Thanks Greg this is exactly the information I needed to get started. I was able to recognise how a course I had written years ago could be sold in this format.
The course is called RECIPE for Healthy Living and it is 7 lessons on wholistic well-being. It is designed for people who know they need a healthier lifestyle but don’t know where to start. It covers recommended foods and exercises to fit your lifestyle, ways to explore your uniqueness and ways to enhance your mental, emotional and spiritual well-being.

Your videos and website are terrific — please keep it up.

  193. I believe is a great idea and it motivated me to look into it. My product is a small pocket book where I give ideas on what you can do to feel good with yourself and others without investing too time and effort.

  194. Great training video message with invaluable benefits. Thanks Greg. 7 basics steps to improve your English.

  195. “I have been meaning to take your course but never seem to find the time.”

I could create a series of short videos on the gardening method I teach.

  196. Daily Motivation photos and phrases -ebook, daily posting, cards to download and print, clipart, app, wallpaper/screensaver…omg I’ve just realised I can do so many leverage products with my photos and inspirational quotes! Lightbulb moment – it’s the core message of my business!!! Thank you for the trigger, great video

  197. Thanks Greg: I’ve started to think about all kinds of things but still have a bunch of questions. I’m an attorney in criminal defense. Clients who come in always ask, what should I expect relative to time line and procedure. I think a product that walks people through the procedure from the initial appearance thru to disposition will give them some answers on what to expect. Not sure what to call it though, I would love your input.
And then next question: how do I get this to generate the business for people to come in the door. Business has been unusually slow of late.

  198. Hi Greg , this has me thinking. I have been wanting to start a business but not sure how to go about it.

  199. Options to foreclosure, how did this happen and why the banks are profiting from homeowners loosing their home.

  200. Hello Greg and Fellow SimpleWealthers,

First off, let me say that I just got through witnessing the demise of the New York Rangers’ 2011-2012 season, courtesy of the New Jersey Devils! My 23 year-old son, Josh, is totally devastated, but it’ll be “an honest day on Wall Street” before I feel sorry for that Millionaires Club On Ice!
Greg, in jumping ahead, I am dying to know how we make large numbers of people aware of our product’s availability.
Back in college and grad school, I was always very good at memorizing large amounts of information. One of the tools that I used was mnemonics. When a “known” mnemonic wasn’t available, I would simply make up one of my own After years of using a combo of established and original mnemonics, I came to the conclusion that the ones I made up myself, were more effective, for me. So, I started to eschew the well-known ones that were already out there and made up personal ones instead, much to my success. The reason was simple: the ones I made up myself automatically had more personal meaning to me and were therefore easier to remember!
Therefore, the service I would like to provide is to teach people how to make up their own mnemonic devices, leading to the ability to memorize much more material than they previously could. I would have to lay out my strategies on paper and examine them more carefully to determine how many steps there would be, but I would guess this could lend itself to a 5-step process.
I look forward to hearing any comments; in the meantime, it’s time for POMP and SAP at ELLENS
(Put On My Pajamas and Say A Prayer then Eat a ‘Luscious LatE Night Snack!)

  201. My product would be either a recorded DVD, or Teleseminar on the importance of good Customer Service skills, and Public Relations in everyday business.

  202. Mine will be: How to become free from co-addiction. It’s gonna be great! Thanks Greg, I watched this video a long time ago and now l am ready to do it. I also want to use it to help my dad create extra income during his retirement. He has no idea how much money he will make 🙂 30 years as the soul councellor (the first in the world) for athletes in elite sports (olympics, world championships etc) he IS the trusted authority in the field of sports and ethics and I can’t wait to show him how his immense knowledge can benefit people today. AND give him and my mom the freedom to enjoy their retirement age free from financial stress. They so deserve it. YEY!

  205. Divorce for first-time marriages in America is 45-50%. That’s a major problem that can be easily solved. I would develop a small instructional downloadable book and workbook as the product. Title would be “6 Simple Steps to Restore ANY Marriage”

  210. I’m thinking of creating a product related to personal finance, investing, etc. Initially I’m thinking of products relating to improving an individuals financial position, how to start investing and later about ‘value investing’. The challenge or doubt is whether I need to focus on my domestic market (India) or create a generic products (anyone across the world). If I do a generic product I’m worried that I may not be able to give the right examples/scenarios that people can relate to. Any suggestions or feedback on this idea will be welcome.

  211. Product Idea: “Vending is Changing. How to Keep Up”

Updated twice a year to help others keep the vending cash flow going strong.

    Nice training.

When or where is the next installment to this training?
