Brightness Of The Future – A Challenge To Entrepreneurs

I believe you are facing a HUGE decision that you need to make. This decision has become critical because of the incredible turbulence and uncertainty that we’re facing in the world today. On one hand … the economic, financial, environmental and social challenges we face today seem worse than ever, and maybe even insurmountable. On the other hand … there are shifts happening that have opened up the window of opportunity that no previous generation has ever had the chance to experience. So for you, the question is what side of that spectrum are you choosing for yourself and your business? Inspired by some of the incredibly diverse and conflicting opinions and views that I’ve experienced over the past few weeks, I decided to shoot this short video to explain what I believe your greatest challenge is right now as an entrepreneur. I want to start a conversation about this incredibly important topic to see what YOU think – and I am counting on you to post your comment and response to my video.

Do you agree or disagree? Are you truly stepping into the opportunity, or are you allowing the scarcity and contraction to hold you back from reaching into your brightest future? I really think it’s time to get REAL with yourself, and truly be accountable to what your actions are (as opposed to your wishes). In other words, the game is won by what you’re actually doing, not what you think you should do. I feel like I need to light an even larger fire under you, because you need to step into whatever your future holds. Standing by and waiting or hoping for things to change is NOT a strategy for success. The ONLY reason I shot this video was to see what you think, so I’d love to hear from you — what did this video cause you to think? What is your response, and where are you in this debate? Post your comment now, because your opinion DOES matter – and is an important part of creating brightness of the future .. .. brightness of YOUR future.]]>

1. Think you’re absolutely right. I’m working hard every day to build my business, learn the things I don’t know & achieve my goal of helping others.

2. First you have to have vision. You need to see what world you actually live in, as opposed to the world you imagine you live in. Then you can get behind that vision with “whatever it takes”. That “whatever it takes” can be defined as courage.

3. Moving towards the light and what is healthy is how nature does it. We need light and food, but we also need rest and sleeping is deeper when its dark. The either/or is not how to live an integrated life. It is by embracing both that we become wiser, more mature, seasoned people. To have the courage to see the opportunities (also technological) and make use of them is what we are perpetually called for, while maintaining a connection with the world around us. To be able both to fly, or ride quickly and also to slow down and look at flowers, or be surprised to see a jaybird in the tree next to you, just because you we attentive enough to listen to a sound it made. The world is really the world, i.e. all 5 continents. To sometimes decide to walk which takes longer and thus gives you more time to experience what is around you makes for a much richer life and enables you to gauge what the world, what nature is really like; look at how plants grow, it is fascinating, not all in one go, and a beautiful model for how we can all grow. If we sometimes try to dance, just because the music touches us, we may find that direction can be a waltz, that being an entrepreneur can make symphonies in which many can share, that our common future is a paradise already all around us. The great escape is to be here and now together.

4. Great video Greg – and I couldn’t agree more with your personal position. Personally, I’m on the end of the spectrum that is forging ahead and creating new opportunities. I’m agressively investing money, time and energy in 2 businesses and reinventing the processes to work with these challenging times. I believe in the future and I believe in people and our ability to prosper regardless of circumstance. A bump in the road is not necessarily the end of the road.

5. I think like you that the world is going to get better. The challenges we face are stepping stones and opportunities towards this goal. I truly believe that we are all one and the more that we give and serve others the more abundance comes into your life.

6. I found this message to be very helpful at this juncture in my life. I find I am suffering from inertia after a period of acting as caregiver for my father who recently died of cancer. I have found it easier to live on past successes rather than creating new and more exciting futures. I have developed an enterprise that I would like to pursue but am finding it easier to just not get things going. Your challenge to move forward is truly appreciated. Thanks.

7. I often fall into the mental trap of “the global economy is going to collapse soon anyway, so why even bother undertaking any new ventures?” I think this is a fallacy that I’ve got to slap myself out of. And you remind me that life WILL in fact go on no matter what happens. Thanks!

8. Appreciate the video Greg. I agree – playing small and not stepping out and doing things beyond your comfort zone is to our own detriment. That’s not serving ourselves, or the world. Life begins outside of our comfort zones. We need to challenge ourselves, and push ourselves to do things beyond what we “thought” or were programmed to be our limitations. Personally, I’m not a fan as everyone is an “economist” these days, and the sky is always falling. The US is a black hole…blah blah blah. I focus on my own economy, and making the biggest dent in this world as I possibly can. There is an abundance of opportunity, billions of people, many countries and continents. This year it’s Brazil. Can’t wait. Time to live big, do more, make a difference. Cheers Greg. Until the next one…

9. First thanks for the video, it was helpfull to me and I beleive to thousands of others! We need such videos, we need each other, we need to encourage ourselves because as you mentioned we are in minority as I am at my home (1:3). At the moment I as an entrpreneur am not in the position to envy me but still beleive that we need to be grateful for what we have and expect even more…I send to all of the members of our positive community a lot of energy….

10. I am in with you. Life is always full of opportunities and challenges, depends on how you look at it. I am developing my capacity now so I can have something to share and contribute to the world in a few years from now as a person of positive influence. I am totally and constantly prepared to win and also separate myself from many deadly distractions that Media and other toxic whiners out there are trying to influence us in general. Thanks again Greg; your authentic materials are life-changing. I am following your foot steps. As always, God bless!

11. Gregg
I strongly believe and support your belief that we must support one another on a global level. Sure, there are many challenges we face, and with the help on everyone we can conquer those challenges much better. For too long there’s been the “us against them” mentality. Yes, we must compete. However, we can support one another along the way as well.

12. Greg everything you said is right. As an entrepreneur it is difficult to go outside my comfort zone. But that fear or anxiety leaves each and every time I help an ex offender get a job, or help someone with a resume or doing the paper work to get our youth non profit up and running. Opportunity is everywhere we just need to step up. Keep up the good work and thank you for the positive words.

13. Wow Greg, thank you for doing this video. Since you first brought out your videos i have shifted in leaps and bounds working through my core fears of going out into the world in a much bigger way. The past 4 months have been!!!!!! Talk about COURAGE! Anyways i just finished my first 6 week online course wit h2 groups and the feedback has been AMAZING!!! was i out of my comfot zone???? you bet i was but i showed up each week and it was so exciting and joyful! one person even shared that this course SAVED her life!!!!! i have NEVER experienced such joy, now i have cleared my limiting beliefs. I LOVE what i do and it feel SO natural, and am SO excited about my life and where i am headed!! Beyond words!! It has taken years of constant courage, determination, patience, and dedication to myself to clear the deeply embedded programming. Now it is time to share what it feels like to be free to be me and how to help others do the same. So i am preparing to head out into the world starting next month and let myself be guided to where people are ready to change and looking for assistance. i have known for a while i would be traveling around the world, and this is the year!! To share the tools and processes that i have used to free myself and that are proving to help others to do the same. I am excited and scared at the same time, but i KNOW it is time and i am ready to be a part of creating heaven on earth. for i KNOW what is coming our way is beyond our wildest dreams. But it does entirely DEPEND yes on your perspective and yes we are in 2 worlds right now with teh divide getting even greater. The energies are really increasing and creating chaos in order to push people to wake up and stop being a puppet! People have to wake up and realise that the vast majority of their beliefs and thoughts are NOT theirs, that they have bought into them. And that in truth they are INCREDIBLE POWERFUL BEINGS and it is their birthright to live in abundance. The song that keeps coming into my mind is ‘I’m Coming Out’ Diana Ross!!!!! So Greg thank you and bless you and i look forward to meeting you one day soon. Much love and gratitude to you, Kay

14. Greg, your rant really resonated with me. I know I can fulfill a better role In life than I have been. I believe I can be a better example for my kids and serve those around me more effectively.

Is it okay to post your video on my Facebook and Twitter accounts?

15. All that was ever necessary, and all that is necessary going forward, is for big-G Government to get out of the entrepreneur’s way. Sorry if that may seem an objectionably political statement, but it is nonetheless true.

16. This world was not created by negative energy for doom/distruction by evil, and is not
to be sunk into a black pit, and will not be, unless we say so or stand by and permit it
to be. I think there are more negative pessimistic people in the world than positive.
But the positive are much stronger and things will begin to brighton up in May and this
country will be on top again and going forward.

17. Awesome video Greg! Thank you for helping so many to hear this! I CHOOSE to live my life (and business) believing in the ‘abundance’ of the world. I think there is a “chicken or the egg” analogy over the two different views of life – abundance or scarcity. Which comes first….the reality or the attitude? If you believe in scarcity….guess what, you got it! And the more people who believe that (thank you to the media, government, and all those who spread that idealogy) then you are contributing to a world that creates scarcity. Again, I CHOOSE to create ADUNDANCE! And I try to help others (entrepreneurs) to choose it as well, through The Confidence Revolution. I believe that’s what we need now!
Also how wonderful that you are going to Africa in May. My 16 yr old dauhgter built a school in Kenya last summer – most amazing experience ever! ALL children deserve our help! Thanks again for sharing!

18. Greg, you continue to look at the “human condition” and the role we can play in improving it. For that I applaud you. After all, what good is technology’s success, and “progress” if we’ve failed to keep up emotionally, spiritually, and ethically?

I agree, the change is going to come from those individuals who have the courage of their convictions to lay it all on the line. Looking at history, it’s always been that way! Governments and institutions don’t lead change, people (specifically individuals) do!

Until this very era we’re in now, the changes we’ve seen have been within the scope of “non-human” technological, industrial, and material advances. And, for the times, this has been good. But, there’s been a shift. The current, trend is towards advancing the “technology” of the heart and soul. Getting out there and seeing what the spirit of man can do.

Greg, you’ve been a leader in this movement within the world of entrepreneurial gurudom. I just hope the online marketing world gets their act together before they kill the goose that’s delivering the golden eggs.

The human potential is unlimited. But, we can’t advance the cause of abundance by marshaling in a group of eager, would-be leaders with one tactic, one marketing device, one online strategy after another, day in and day out. We need to be brave, bold, selfless and circumspect. We need to offset every offer with ten educational programs that are truly magnanimous and meant for the advancement of the soul over the pocketbook.

This video of yours is a great effort, a great start. I understand it’s not your first. I hope to see many more from you, from me, from others.

Congratulations.

Carmelo Bryan

19. Hi Greg! I believe that because of the turmoil and upheaval there is massive opportunity for entrepreneurs to meet people’s needs in a very different way than ever before. I think the future is very bright for new-paradigm energy businesses. There is definitely a level of disregard by the American government for their actions. It is (They are) arrogant and I feel they are shoving the world to the brink of financial disaster. However, I agree that even if the American economy tanks, there is incredible opportunity to create strong, multi-million dollar businesses. As the old paradigm and regime falls, new ways of doing business and personal accountability will create all kinds on new markets and opportunity. Especially for new thought leadership in every aspect of our lives.

20. Greg, my passion has always been helping others but sometimes fear gets the best of me and lets me forget why I am on this earth. You are truly creating a ripple effect and I am one proof of that since my mentor is, I believe, one of those going on the trip with you. I really hope you continue with this kind of content since I would love to be able to make a difference to someone else’s life. Trully…. Thank you!

21. Yes Greg – I totally agree with what you said. I am definitely stepping forward in my life and helping others. Two years ago, I finally accepted that my true passion in life is to be a speaker and inspire others. I am a burn survivor since I was 2 yrs old to 75% of my body, I struggled with my self esteem, inner beauty and constant staring and teasing. Ever since I accepted my passion, everything has been falling into place almost magically. I’ve written 2 books, one is a bestseller and as a result, people are asking me to speak and share my story. In fact, as a result of one of your emails, I signed up to be a Messenger Speaker at the Messenger Summit this March. I can’t wait to attend this conference, share my message and learn how to get my message out in an even bigger way. I even referred a friend of mine and we’re both going to be there as messenger speakers. Thank you for letting me know about this great opportunity Greg. The other thing that happened to me is that I was met 2 ladies from Kenya at a women’s conference and gave them a copy of my first book. As a result of that, they have invited me to come to Kenya to help them. There was a fire and 200 people died and 100 people lived. They want me to come and help them heal and give them hope that they too can lead a happy life and feel beautiful like I do. So yes Greg, I am definitely stepping into my entrepreneurship and being a leader and helping to change the world, in spite of all the negative stuff that people tell me is happening. To me, it just doesn’t matter, what matters is helping others and sharing our knowledge and encouraging them to have great lives like we do. I’m so excited about encouraging others to feel beautiful about themselves no matter what other people’s opinions are. We don’t know what the future is going to hold, so why stop doing what we love to do?

22. I think that most people are getting more ignorant and that politicians and people in power are getting worse, and putting death, money, and power in front of the environment and other people’s needs…..BUT I am also an optimist and know that others are getting more enlightened and awaking to change the world. I am trying my best to do everything that I can to help others around me and spread the message about eating healthy, practicing yoga and meditation, and helping others daily. I love guys like Greg and Mike Dillard and such who are realists and know the world isn’t perfect but who are doing their best to enlighten the masses. Great video to get people thinking, thanks Greg, I am definitely tweeting this one!

Mike Storm

23. Thanks for your ability to see optimism in chaos. The time is perfect for us to be fullfilling our real purpose. It is a time to evolve into all that we came here to do. I am excited about the opportunity to help others see their real potential. That is what builds passion, and that is what the world needs now. Passion to build a world that all will be happy in. Money really is love energy. So where has love gone when we are moving from fear?

24. Hi Greg…This is a mixed bag for me. On one hand I have been stepping up and taking on challenges this year in the public speaking arena by stepping into opportunities to do presentations and speaking engagements that I had not done in the past. For instance, I was weak in giving a Power Point presentation…so I took time to learn from someone giving a free workshop. Not only was the presenter funny…but his knowledge was spot on and the more I looked at peoples presentations I saw the magic of simplicity from what I had learned. Just did a powerpoint 3 weeks ago and got wonderful feedback. I could go on and on. So yes I am stepping up my game, because I love inspiring people. Now for the other hand…I’ll be the first to admit I’m weak in marketing. I know some of the things I need to do…and I’ll admit that there is fear in this area…but I’m working on that, first by making a list of things I know would help, collecting material on marketing ideas but taking a step at time to accomplish just one thing at a time. It can get so overwhelming and I believe that is why people quit, because they try to do it all at once. Do I wish I had someone to hold my hand and help me through this yes…but as I look at the people I know who are successful in business I’ve gotten bolder about asking questions. By the way my saying for this new year is “BE BOLD”. Being bolder has not only given me more confidence that I’m on the right track, but it has delivered more encouragement to keep me going. So I loved when you said about being bold.

25. I agree the future is bright . I am an aspiring entrepreneur. Like many aspiring entrepreneur, we tips, skills and process on how to develop courage.

26. Thanks so much for the very cool video..
I was personally most interested and inspired with your choice to go to work on a project in Uganda. May I ask for more information on how you choose that type of project in that part of the world specifically ? Any recommendations on how to go from a desire to help to a specific actionable project making a difference in a developing nation ?

1. We chose to build this school in part because we already knew of a great organization that had a lot of the ground work figured out. We were able to focus our resources to making something real happen, instead of facing a lot of research, questions, challenges and frustrations. There are an endless number of organizations looking for help, so it’s a matter of deciding what parameters you have for helping (geography, location, certain group of people like children, women, etc., and what resources you’re able to leverage).

27. Hi Greg

It’s always been that famous question of whether the glass is half full or half empty. Leadership in this world has been weakening for the past few decades now, not only in governments but also in large companies. So I feel this is absolutely the time of the entrepreneur to show the way to a better future for the world that was entrusted to us.

I am from South Africa so I know the problems in Africa and all over the world and I commend you for doing something about the problems, and yes of course we will always have the critics, and I agree with you that it doesn’t matter where you help people. It is for the good of humankind.

I haven’t had it good in my life and I’ve been without a job for the last 7 years. To top it all I have just about enough money left for another 2 months but you know what…? I’ve decided that this is the time for me to make my life worth living and to matter because I have the experience. So I’ve started a business, if you can call it that, at age 60, to help people realize what life is all about, and that they have the power to create a better life not only for themselves but for others as well.

I’ve had this dream to help people since age 4 but you know, life happens and we get so caught up in our little worlds that we tend to forget what power and conviction our dreams had as children. I want to help neglected and abused children and the aged because they are slipping through the cracks, and because I was there. I know their pain and hopelessness and the absolute fear that poverty instills in you.

In order to do that I have to, or want to start an organization, and if that demands of me to be an entrepreneur then that is what I’m going to be.

This is the time for us to realize that the only thing to fear is fear itself and that we are the only people who can make right all the wrongs. This is the time to get together and create a better world. It is in us to do.

Keep living the good life.

1. While I appreciate your comments and vision, the question I’d ask you is: why not NOW?

Why do you need to wait to have an organization? How much time does it really take to go out and make a difference for one person?

The challenge is that we all tell ourselves that once we achieve certain things (money, free time, etc.) that we’ll REALLY make a difference, and we don’t take any steps today to make something happen. Years pass by, and tomorrow never comes.

The secret is to just do something small NOW because that’s how the passion and addiction to doing more begins.

So I’d challenge you that if you really want to make a difference, make one today instead of waiting until the time is perfect.

1. I think you got me wrong there. I already started a month ago. I even published an ebook and is in the process of writing another more targeted book.
As I said; I haven’t got that much time so I cannot waste any more time. I challenged myself and I’m doing something about it.

28. I am personally challenged right now due being made redundant. But I personally believe that both the world and I are facing these challenges because we were meant to do so. I also agree with your statement that we are all one.
“United we stand divided we fall”

Ronnie

1. If you mean that you’ve been laid off, I want you to eliminate the word “redundant” from your vocabulary when you refer to anyone, ESPECIALLY yourself.

There is NO SUCH THING as someone who is ‘redundant’, only an organization lacking the creativity to create opportunities for unique value creation.

Talking about “redundant” positions is complete bullshit, and it bothers me when human beings are referred to as “redundant”. So don’t ever let anyone put that label on you or anything – and realize that you are unique, and it’s impossible to be redundant in this world .. because there are things no one else can do you like you can, and you’re uniquely here to serve a purpose. You may just not know it yet.

29. To be honest , i agreed with those who sayd is better to help people in your country than in other countries , but i realised US is a very wealthy nation and Africa needs a lot more help . Also , just focusing to help in a country is still limitation , if you focus onhelping people from many countries on the world , you aim higher , so you get more ambitious , so you make more , so you’ll help more people , so who’s gonna have more fulfilment at the 3rd age ?

1. “Africa needs a lot more help” – by whose measure? If you surveyed Americans, and you surveyed Africans, and asked them “how happy are you?” my bet is that the Africans would rate themselves significantly more happy, even though most people in the Western world could never understand that. And that’s the point – there’s no “more” or “less” when it comes to the need for help, it just IS.

30. The status quo has been challenged, and the seismic shift IS happening, and it could go either way, good or bad. The two views “of the world” you have encountered recently – did you say the pessimistic one was from a financial background? Well that’s no surprise – for too long many institutions have profited on the basis of complete self interest, at whatever cost to others. The internet is responsible for an amazing flow of information, increasing transparency, and that’s where the challenge to the status quo has come from – because the “traditional” approach of these institutions is not sustainable, and it’s hitting their pockets.

Having said that, I don’t think that we need to re-invent how the world does things – I think that could be too dangerous with leaders and countries that are out there, looking to make their mark on the world, with such a distorted view that threatens the lives of us all, lucky enough to live in a democracy. You could argue there is no true democracy – but the world will never be perfect, and everything will never be fair, but it could be a lot worse than it is, and yes many things could be a lot better!

We just need to shift the focus, away from “what’s in it for me” to helping enough people in life to get what they want, as Zig Ziglar put it, and so we will then be able to get anything in life we want. Enter the Entrepreneur…

As well as making ourselves accountable and “DOING” we need to make the politicians and people in power be accountable, by engaging with them, and telling them what we think, and ensure they listen, because there is more of us than them – it’s no good moaning to each other!

1. It was coincidental the more gloomy group happened to be centered around financial/economic issues, because you can find both types in almost any room you walk into. And I agree, it is about trying to find a way to create value for others in the world. That’s one of the amazing things about the X PRIZE Foundation that Peter founded – they are creating quantum leaps in terms of solutions to major global challenges, and harnessing the good of humanity to overcome what many feel are insurmountable problems.

31. I am stepping out of my comfort zone.

And yes, the world has lots of opportunities. Is the glass half full or half empty? How someone else defines the line in the glass doesn’t matter to me. I see the liquid and am grateful for it.

It’s the positive energies we create that will negate the negative energies of others.

32. Thank you so much for your passion and dedication. It was so good to be reminded on a Saturday afternoon sitting in the warm California sun, that I am connected to all…that we all share all that we have. I appreciated hearing you speak of the world’s need for us to step forward to create and to serve. I have been hiding out, yet, this year I have been attending some entrepreneurial seminars and am finally reconnected to what I can do to help others: I can hold the space for those who speak…it makes a huge difference! I appreciated your directness and candor…it is time to help each other so we can all grow. Over the past several years, I have been learning many new skills, absorbing information. Now, i am realizing, i am able to synthesize it all and use it to be serviceful. Thank you for reminding me/us that it is our, each and everyone, job to find the people who need some of my help to make their lives better so they can in turn help some other, continuing…the ripple in the pond. bless you and your family for helping the childres in Africa, for those who create microloans for 3rd world women entrepreneurs, for those who help in their own backyards. Goodness ripples out…we are all one in divine ssource..thank you for your courage to remind us!

1. Yep – the bigger point is that there’s no right or wrong way to authentically help others. Whether it’s in your backyard or around the world, we’re literally all one – so helping a person lifts the world, wherever they may be. It’s just only become obvious since the internet and the “birth” of global business. There’s no such thing as a country or group needing “more” help than others – change the world by changing one person’s life. That’s where it starts.

33. is a very inspiring video, 4 years ago I came to England, were in full recession, but personally it was the best time, there are always opportunities, the internet was my great partner

34. I think that the world is getting better, and we are going to have great business opportunities because big companies are not more in control and small entrepreneur will play a great part in the next decade!
Thank you! Good luck in Africa, I am so proud of you! a kid si a kid here or africa, he need help!
pablo

35. Hi Greg,

Thanks for this video and for putting this very important question out there for discussion. I have been an entrepreneur for over 25 years and have pretty much been out of my comfort zone the whole time. I am facing another leap further out of the zone as I am putting together a weekly speaker breakfast in Calgary featuring people who are changing the world, people who believe that we can make it better and are making it better every day. I subscribe to Paul Hawken’s belief that change in the world is coming in this moment from the grass roots, not from politics or economics. His book and video, Blessed Unrest, made a great deal of sense to me, and was also very comforting.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N1fiubmOqH4
I think that those people who are on the doomsday side of the fence are those who believe that the only power that exists is in the hands of governments, institutions and corporations, while those who believe in a bright future are looking at the power and possibilities in individuals and small groups.
For myself, I check in with my intuition and guidance everyday, and follow what feels right to do on that level. I am committed to that path regardless of the outcome. While I hope that the world is becoming better and brighter, I will follow my heart regardless, so the question is not that vital to me.
Thank you for your good heart, guidance and sincerity. I appreciate it and it gives me hope that there are people like you teaching us how to market with integrity.

You are greatly appreciated,
Susan Letourneau

36. Greg,
The world is in a period of transition and all of those ills you said do exist. However, we are being given the challenge to turn the world into what it could be and not what is presented before us. I believe I can be used as an instrument to make it better. Thank you for reminding me of my charge to keep and to use my business to be in service.

37. What a relief to hear to hear the opinions and values associates with
actions and ideas! Thank you for affirming thoughts I have had, and for
giving me the impetus to continue seeking the way through each day.
Really grateful and pleasantly surprised!

38. Thanks for raising these challenges Greg. My view is both groups are correct. We are facing severe economic problems that will dwarf the 2008 GFC. The longer governments defer the crisis by continuing to print money, the worse the eventual correction will become for those people who do not restructure their financial position to cope with the crisis. When things are uncertain and changing there are more opportunities to assist and make a difference. I joined your program to help me fast track internet based business opportunities as part of my strategy to prepare for what’s coming. An additional benefit form the training I have receive from you, Mike Koenigs, Rich Schefren, Jeff Walker, Mike Dillard and others is the understanding that I must speak up and share my new knowledge about business opportunties and our need to help improve the world. I have started small by explaining what I am doing and offering to assist family and friends and am now doing the same with long term customers and small business suppliers. Every conversation uncovers potential business opportunities and I expect a few ot these people to develop additional income streams by helping others. Thank you for helping me make a difference.

1. Steve, I agree that there are serious challenges ahead – the dollar problem being a key one. But as you recognized, the bigger picture is that simply creates change, and change creates opportunity. You can be on the train, or you can be on the tracks – and it’s a decision you make.

39. I am excited by this conversation, because I have consciously made the decision to not watch the news, or have conversations with those who feel like the world is coming to an end. America is a teenager in comparison with the rest of the world. I think it is rather arrogant for us to believe that the ENTIRE world will crumble…but then again, teenagers do believe it begins and ends with them. Anyway—

All the important things (worldly) come before me and come to my inbox (I set it up this way), however by not watching the gloom and doom of what is not going right in the world, I concentrate on growing what is right. What does that mean? I have more free time to creatively visualize the world more harmoniously (b/c I don’t watch the news), I am an entrepreneur and I constantly have conversations with others (ent) who need help in setting up their businesses. I have set up a group of my peers so that we can practice and let our hair down, so that when we go to our perspective careers, we are better equipped to handle the challenges of being an entrepreneur. I am willing to talk about what is not pop(ular), some would say radical, but what drives me is so strong that I must share what I know to work. Owning a business is usually a solo sport and you must be able to endure, not take on the ‘running story’ of the sky falling…create your own story and be inspired from those whom are more successful than your own.

I look forward to continuing the conversation. Thank you.

40. I agree with you and just started a business to help people to move out of their not so comfortable zone!!!!! I have been a motivational teacher for a number of years and believe we achieve what we believe!!!! I own a very successful business for 31 years and want to help people to have the same ability to not only be successful but to help others do the same! It is all about passing it on! I was taught by one of the best Mary Kay herself, we can change the world one face at a time helping people to feel better about theirself. Everyone has a sign on them Make Me Feel Important, it is up to us to do that. You are right on!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Enjoy your year! Jean Santin Sr. National Sales Director Emeriti Mary Kay Cosmetics. 41. Hi Greg,

Interesting topic, here is what i have to say about it.

Short version:
‘Embrace the pain and you will win this game’

Longer version:
If people aren’t helping other people, they are in the proces of helping them selfs first. The larger percentage of our worlds population is constructing a solid and fundamental base from which to help others. For those who have accomplished that base, only have to connect with their hearts to become ‘one with all’. Hearts intelligence vs mind intelligence is our conflict of society.
As for me, that ‘fundamental base’ is a inner path to unite mind and heart, to discover the natural ‘rules and laws of our universe for which to play by. Experiencing everything that you are not (fear), so that it can remember and become conscious by nature of who we really are (eternal loving light), (knowing conditional from unconditional). Once freed from any kind of fear, you have accepted/embraced/mastered your life. The outcome can therefor only be to truly help others, through the ‘selfless you’, in that unique form you choose to express yourself.

This knowledge is the brightness of our future and can be found anywhere you walk.

My future is as bright as i am now, today. 🙂

42. Having courage, leaving comfort zone, helping others and not playing small any longer, these are sound admonitions. But you cant help looking at the environment and the economy in which we operate in, becuase its just there. Yes, i agree that inspite of all, there are tremendous opportunities to tap into, just need the right information. Thank you Greg for talking.

43. the purpose of this planet in the grater scheme of things is to evolve us people to a high conciseness being. as we become continence and dissolve the boundaries within ourselves, so does the the external boundaries fall . our oneness is a godly plan and it shell become a realty . it is our choice to unite by the force of consciousnesses like you and your likes or by the path of unconscious-like what is happening in the Arab world . i wish you all the best in your path of unification .

44. Greg, I’m going to Africa, too. I’m going to Nairobi, Kenya to do leadership training for women. I’m going at the end of April. Thank you for sharing this. This is special for me. Also I have help build a school and church in Belize. I love helping people. I want to tell you made a difference for me today.
I’m an entrepreneur trusting God that He will open opportunities for me. And I believe that yes while there is challenges that the world is a beautiful place still with opportunity.
Thanks again, and blessings Lorraine Duncan

45. Watching your video that focusses on the difference between the two groups you mention, I realized that it might be more important to ask: What do both groups have in common?
They operate from conclusion and belief and I don’t think that is productive. What we would need is people who ask smart questions, like for example: what would it take to change this? Furthermore, both sides believe in catastrophes, they only relate to them differently. But both believe firmly that there is going to be one. If ” as you believe, thy shall be done onto you” is real, is it productive to think that way?

You would answer my question with “the world needs leaders”. I don’t think the world is calling for leadership. More unconscious leaders won’t rock the boat. More consciousness will, which is why I think we need to ask questions, like: So what would it take to create opportunity without chaos? How can business, basically the cause of most of the problems we have, change so that sustainable and catastrophe free living becomes possible? This would afford to find an answer to the question: how can business be profitable without having to grow constantly and exponentially? Universal laws are not in harmony with nature’s laws and that creates all the friction on the planet. And I was wondering: what if people, who believe that chaos means great opportunity, will need chaos to have opportunity and consequently create it?

Both of your groups are spending their time to prepare for a fantasy that’s called future, one side is excited about opportunities to come, the other side is afraid, so their preparations look different, but both call for leadership. That’s the only thing that might get me out of my comfort zone, being a German. Are we there again, calling for leaders? What other choices do we have?

If I would step out of my comfort zone, it would be only to help people get out of the rat race you put in front of them again, the either/or Universe, when there would be so many other possibilities. What if we could just all do what we like?

1. I find it interesting that you color most of what I said in a way that makes both wrong. To me, leadership is about being conscious and enlightened so that is what I believe the world actually needs. Authentic leaders. And that is not what you find when you look in most areas and industries – politics, finance, the economy, sports, or culture.

1. @I find it interesting that you colour most of what I said in a way that makes both wrong.
Hi Greg, thank you for your answer. Great you find it interesting :-). That’s what I did, colour it in a way that both were “wrong”. Was I “wrong” doing that? Funny, isn’t it? What if both were actually, may be not wrong, but questionable? Or just two of many other possibilities to choose from? I wanted to question the assumption that we live in this either/or Universe that seems to present itself to you and that the “opportunity perspective” is better than the other. The contradicting opinions you mentioned, which caused you to make the video, seem to say something about what’s going on in the world. But what if they tell first of all something about you? If polarity grows, the solution for me is not to decide which polar opinion to choose. I’d start looking for middle ground.

@To me, leadership is about being conscious and enlightened so that is what I believe the world actually needs.
It’s a belief you have, that’s clear. Not saying I don’t like conscious leaders, but who decides who is conscious and especially conscious of what? I’d prefer conscious followers, they are the one’s choosing the leaders.

@Authentic leaders. And that is not what you find when you look in most areas and industries.
Of course not. A person who believes that the world “needs” authentic leaders will only see a lack of those leaders everywhere. It’s logical, or not? Again, not saying I don’t like authentic leaders, after all, I read your blog :-). But authenticity can be really dangerous at times.
So I don’t align with neither of the options, I neither agree nor disagree. I continue to ask: what would I like? If an opportunity matches what I like, I take it of course, but I don’t jump at an opportunity only because it presents itself. Hope that’s okay.

46. Wow! Way to go, Greg! I still have that excited-in-the-pit of my stomach feeling after having listened to this. Looking forward to more!

I think the world has ALWAYS been within 2 extremes and now is no more then any other time. A great read that is a prime example of this in the past 100 years alone would be “The Wisdom of Insecurity: A Message for an Age of Anxiety” by Alan Watts. Great little book. And if you didn’t know by some of the dated language that it was actually written in the height of the Cold War you would think it was published yesterday.

Thank you for making me think about what drives the different of viewpoint between the two groups you visited … and here’s my take…

People involved in finance/economics/investing will naturally be more focused on the core human need of certainty, as well as significance.

Entrepreneurial/science/technology people will naturally be more focused on the core human need of contribution, and likely also highly value either growth and/or variety.

Therefore the first group would naturally fear change in all its forms. The second group would more easily embrace, and even welcome, it.

Plus, as Viktor Frankl’s work shows “meaning and purpose” (ie: a focus on contribution to the greater good) is paramount in surviving even the worst of situations…such as he survived in the concentration camps of World War II.

I LOVE that you made me visit these thoughts today. Thank YOU!

47. Thank you for starting this discussion. We will all expire before this world we know comes to an end. We are in an era in economics where growth is stagnant or declining in some areas and yet other areas are experiencing expansion/growth and boom. When the horse and carriage industry went out of business new means of transportation boomed – the auto industry – and we still enjoy horse racing. Mail and the postal service is on the decline (telegraph/telegrams is -I believe- now non-existent) and fax (e-fax) and texting is booming. I believe one of the reason for the doom and gloom is that people are scared. We human do not like change and anything that changes our life as we are used to live it scares us and we react negatively. It does take great minds and brave souls to embrace change, examine what is happening around us and plot a path to take advantage of all the new oportunities that become open to us.

48. First of all, thanks for your vision, you are one of a small groups of individuals that have encouraged me to go ahead and follow my dreams.

Second, what I really found on this adventure that started 3 years ago, is that the first step to go anywhere is to know myself, and be aware that I have no limitations, neither fear.

Third, I also understood that in order to obtain different results I must do thing differently.

Therefore; yes, there is a big crisis out there, people are loosing their jobs, (as happened to me) but if we focus which lessons we are learning from such events and knowing ourselves, nothing can stop us, and there will be a lot of opportunities waiting for us.

I have no money, haven’t found a job in three years, but eventhough I am finding my way to help myself and others to fly higher than ever before, using the wonderful tool that god gave us…. OUR HEART!!

God bless you Greg.

49. Thanks for stimulating the discussion Greg.
The world is AMAZING!
The people of the world are AMAZING!
Wonderful things happen all the time….
AND…
“STUFF” happens…and in the “STUFF” lies opportunity for healing, creating value for others and learning PERSONALLY…how we each want to SHOW UP and PLAY in the world.
If people are OPTIMISTIC…AWESOME! Go for it.
If people are PESSIMISTIC…AWESOME…take your pessimism, anger, rage and disappointment and channel your energy into a solution.
If you ever catch yourself saying, “SOMEBODY SHOULD….”
….STOP IMMEDIATELY…and train yourself to ask yourself this next question….
“WHY NOT ME?”
If that’s not your THING…find something else.
WHAT IS THE PROBLEM THAT YOU ARE THE ANSWER TO?

50. “The world needs you right now!” Those words resonate with me! I am doing the best I can to get my business going. You are always excellent Greg; I think there are lots of opportunities ahead, and you’re right we have to avoid the negatives otherwise it seems like the world is going to just S T O P! It is pathetic because we all know that is a lie. The doom and gloomers are the ones who do have the money and they are just shifting their focus to market something else. I think also that politics has played it’s game and it’s their time to start over. Let’s go for it.

51. People can be bright in their specialisation but just generalise their local knowledge to the whole – which means they end up being dumb about the big picture.

To see the bad things doesn’t mean opportunities don’t exist. It is the polarisation that is the problem. The optimist line that ‘everything will be fine’ is just as disastrous as ‘everything will be terrible’. We desperately need practical proposal for viable ways forward to deal with many crises. Things like building schools and so on – there are millions of things to be done!

For those who are lastingly successful (there is a book about this), those who sustain success, don’t necessarily have much self-confidence (some do) but others are motivated by their mission.

Courage is useless without intelligence (and compassion). You can take brave action that is useless and counter-productive.

The dangers are very real and there is much we can do in collaboration with others to make our world an abundant and convivial place for ALL (not just those in the wealthy west like most of us listening to this).

52. I don’t know but for what it’s worth I have put everything I have into makeing the
future a better and brighter place.

53. Science says there is no world ‘out there’, meaning its create inside our own consciousness. So the only entity that creates any value in our world is us Humans.
If as a Human you see no value in the world around you, YOU, and YOU alone are responsible for that opinion and the results are a reflection of your own consciousness.

Economic value today cannot possibly be measuring the immense value of the massive infrastructure just created last century. We started with Candles, Horse Buggies, and ended with Space Stations, Cold Fusion and Google.

We are the heirs of millenia of inspiration and hope, we have more to work with than any previous generation in history, given all that kindling, all that is needed now is the sparks.

The future belongs to the cold cave dweller, who sitting amongst other cave dwellers in the dark, near a large pile of dry woodchips left from his ancestors has at least the inclination to TRY to rub two sticks or smash two rocks in attempt to create a Spark.

Whether a lightning strike or an idea does it, a spark WILL be generated by those who at least make an Attempt. As long as intention is to help the tribe, to serve others, you will have the universe on your side, and maybe lightning will strike and you can take the credit.

54. Hi Greg,

WOW, This is so what I needed to hear this today. I am embarrassed to say that I am one that talks alot about my passion of transforming the lives of teens, however I only do it within my comfort zone. I so desperately want to step up and out and make a difference. But yes I am scared. Scared of failure and not being good enough.

So today after watching your video, I have decided to watch it every day and each day grow stronger until I can post here that indeed I am making a difference, and doing the job I was put on earth to do.

Thank you for calling me to action Greg. You are an inspiring man.

Lisa-Marie

55. Greg, very inspiring. The challenges of our current economy are very real, but I find I am my biggest obstacle. Bit by bit I am recognizing and replacing my own walls. e.g. jumping from project to project before realizing the fruit of one, trying to do it all myself. Classic creative mind self-sabotage. That said, I am going to keep this short and go back to working on my first product which is extremely close to completion, because…well… another one of my HUGE errors is to go do stuff like this rather than work stick to the work.

Again thank you. Blessings on your trip.

56. Greg you are a good influence on all of us. I am writing a book exactly covering most of the topics you spoke about. (70 pages done so far)

“We are all one people” is one of the chapters in my book because I don’t believe we should use foreign languages, borders and cultures as excuses for not helping others.

Not that there are books that have already covered this, we need more books that inspire and teach the way of the entrepreneur. There is more need for positive leadership. I see the future and it’s bright.

This is all I am writing today because I would rather work on the next chapter than be a passive viewer.

YES. Please make more videos like this.

57. Terrific video, Greg, and I am so excited about the future. Yes, we do have some challenges, but I see the opportunities – more than ever before. I am stepping forward with courage. We are one and global. What a wonderful message you are sharing. Thank you so much for making us think and help others.

58. BINGO! and not just one line – it’s a blackout bingo! Good for you Greg! You do walk your talk. We CAN make a difference. Lot of points I want to cover and will try to keep short. Firstly, I totally agree with you. And for those people who say you aren’t helping locally – that’s silly. Your company, your presence, your mentoring and enthusiasm are helping hundreds of people locally and I’m sure around the world. You are inspiring leaders and entrepreneurs to step out of that comfort zone!

As for opportunity; you bet there is opportunity here. All you have to do is believe it. “What you think about grows stronger in your life” (Janet Attwood) So if you think it’s doom and gloom, so it will happen. If you believe there is opportunity and you can make a difference you will. I CHOOSE to react in a positive way to everything that happens to me and around me. Over the last year building my business, I have met hundreds of people who agree. And we will make that shift. The numbers of people who agree with you and me as well are growing. We can do it. Nike did! LOL

I have always followed Zig Ziglar’s philosophy – “If you help enough other people get what they want, you will get what you want!”

As for there being a crisis of leadership, it’s an epidemic. People have forgotten that to be a leader, you must know how to have a positive relationship, then inspire and empower. Business statistics abound confirming this.

I am courageous and have stepped up and out of my comfort zone!

And my intention is to join you in Africa (Trusted Authority)

Thanks so much for putting you out here!

59. Agree with principles. The world/country/local community needs Leadership which delivers change for the betterment of mankind, the biggest single item that leaders can do is influence their followers to change their attitudes from ‘we can’t’ to’ we can’ I can, you can, we all can together…

60. Hi Greg,

Thanks you very much for this really inspiring message, you just got my respect for you to a new high!

It is funny, I just made a video for my industry covering similar topic, I agree, right now there is a lack of leadership, and role models, most people are scare to death for what could happen, while we lack leadership, we have an abundance of prophets of doom, these people instead encouraging people, scare them to death, many are lead to financial ruin by following their ill advise.

The best we can do is to first, take care of our customers and associates, and assist them to see the opportunity to lead them out of their mental garbage that has been poured in their minds, and then also spread to the world the message of reality, and the reality is that there is a world of opportunity out here, these world belong not just to doers, but to people that are able to instill in others hearts the message of hope and abundance

Thanks again, fantastic message.

George

61. Greg, I am inspired by your video. Every time I step outside my comfort zone and choose positive confidence as an entrepreneur, I am rewarded. It isn’t easy to stay there which is why mentors like you are so powerful. I choose to surround myself with optimistic people for the most part and sometimes feel guilty for not paying closer attention to the pessimistic media but as I get older I realize it works for me. I am feeling good about the possibilities for me as I grow my business and when one of my clients asked me the other day “do you ever think about how many lives you’ve changed?” I felt blessed and rewarded and lucky that what I love to do makes an impact on others. Hopefully, as I step into the bright future I’ll be able to help more people on a larger scale.

62. Thanks for the inspiring video Gregg. It is very timely for me because I just quit my full time job to focus exclusively on building my coaching practice. I life the comfort zone of a steady paycheck for 30 years to blaze a trail as a self-employed entrepreneur. It took all the courage I could muster to do this. I’ve had to embrace the “feel the fear and do it anyway” mindset that Dr. Susan J. Jeffers spoke about many years ago in her classic book Feel the Fear . . . and Do It Anyway.

I will be relocating to San Diego in the next few months and several well meaning friends and family have tried to discourage me from going their because of the challenging economy in California. Fortunately, I don’t buy into the poverty consciousness that many people are a part of these days. I have skills and talents that I can share with others, and in the process of serving the world, create my own personal wealth consciousness!

Keep doing what you’re doing Gregg. There’s no question that you’re on the right path!

Love & Light

John

P. S. I commend you on your philanthropic endeavors in going to Africa to help those people in need. I’m sure it will be an experience of a lifetime for you and your dad. You are a great role model for us all to emulate. I’m sure your dad is proud of you!

1. After reviewing my comment I realize that there were a couple of grammatical errors, however, I think you got the message I was conveying…

It should read “I left the comfort zone” instead of I life the comfort zone for those who didn’t understand me.

Thanks,

John

63. Dear Mr.Habstritt,
I am so happy and grateful for your words and video.
I am a school music teacher and my salary is below normal.
I am on a journey to discovering what it means to become an entrepreneur and how I can really make a difference in this world by becoming one.
I believe it has a lot to do with mindset.
It is my intention as a teacher to touch move and inspire others to be empowered to live their highest vision/potential in the context of joyfulness, creativity, alertness and sensitivity. I would like the experience of being an entrepreneur who can create real value for others. I truly intend to make a difference in this world.
When you speak of stepping beyond the boundaries to create opportunity I am in total agreement. When I look within myself I observe that I want to do everything and as a result I am not producing any results at least one’s toward becoming an entrepreneur. This leads me to believe I should stop trying to do everything and just focus on one thing at a time. As I look further I see that I am addicted to learning and so I keep overloading myself with information. As a result i am spending all my time and energy in learning and not producing those things that would allow me to become an entrepreneur. I am really seeking to take the next step of applying the information and creating value for others as an entrepreneur.
PS I would be happy to assist you in Africa in any way I can 🙂
It is not about where in the world you make a difference it is about that you are making a difference in the world.
Thank you so much,

Regards,

Michael

67. Great Video Greg. I appreciate and value hearing your perspective on this matter.

I feel as though the world is evolving. The turbulence that we are witnessing is merely growing pains in the evolution of society? Will it be good or bad? It will be what we make it. We have to adapt to the times, roll with the waves and not give up so easily at the first signs of hardship. The dynamic of how people live, spend their money and deem valuable in their personal and business lives are a lot different than they were 10 years ago. As a business you need to ask yourself: How is my product or service relevant and do I make a difference?

I am seeing a lot of people closing their businesses to go work for someone else. Being a BC resident, I see a number of people that are closing up shop and heading up north to work on the pipelines etc. This to me is a bit of a selfish solution; a temporary fix and does not lend any assistance the overall problems that we are facing as a whole. I understand that decisions must be made and that there is a responsibility for one to feed their family but there comes a point where you have to put on your “big boy/girl pants”, dig deeper and make what you do and who you are more relevant to the bigger picture. We have become a, “Instant” society that is constantly looking for quick fixes and not willing to put in the effort of lateral thinking.

Life is what we make it.

Best of Luck in Africa!

69. Wow Greg, that was awesome! I feel like I’m being inundated with fear based information about the collapse of the U.S. and global economies and it freaks me out. I also subscribe to more spiritually based people (as opposed to just business people) who say that it’s better to try to not get caught up in the fear and instead, keep our “vibration” high by doing things we love and feel will ultimately help others and the world in general. I’ve been caught in this tug-of-war that gets my mind spinning sometimes. But listening to your video really moved me into that less fearful realm of knowing that by following our hearts and intuition and doing what we were put on this earth to do – even if it’s outside our comfort level – we’ll be okay. In fact, better than okay – we’ll THRIVE! Thank you so much for addressing this issue. I look forward to hearing more!!!

71. To me both trends are at work. There seems to be a limit to the greed which directs our present economic system, it creating it’s own downfall. At the same time there are more people everyday that opt for an expansive and inclusive way of creating wealth. People who believe in abundance as opposed to scarcity. The deeper the present day crisis will be, the better our chances to create a radically different way of life on this planet. A new consciousness, if you will.

73. Agree with your comments… we do need to step outside “the box” and outside our comfort zones… one comment caught my eye… Marilyn asked: “Is the glass half full or half empty?” I too used to waste time pondering this question, until… another mentor pointed out the less-than-obvious truth which is wonderful in its simplicity:

“The glass is merely twice as big as it needs to be.”

Sometimes we over-think the problem…. the more we do it, the more we polarize ourselves. Waves exhibit polarity — the greater the wave, the more powerful and often, destructive. A glass-smooth pond in its calm reflection, gives us new ways to look at our surroundings. It’s time I take a step back, look around and try to see the sign-posts I’ve missed or ignored.

Great stuff Greg!

77. Hello Greg. I listened to your video with great interest. There’s far too much to comment but I’m betting that you’re building a school in Africa and not Calgary because:
– the construction rules/regulations to get a school going would keep you in limbo for years,
– the school board/teachers union would also have considerable paperwork to accomplish before a door could open.
In plain terms, you’re in Africa because there you actually can!!! Have a great timed 🙂

79. Interesting question. I think the biggest threat to the ‘world’ is humans and the biggest threat to humanity is the size of our population. Until that’s addressed, climate, the economy and all the rest of it are mere distractions (how can they be anything else?). That said, there’s little I can do to solve that (on the scale required) and believe it will naturally self adjust at some point (probably dramatically).

Personally, having grown up risk-loving and entrepreneurial; school and a ‘normal’ career beat that out of me so that I conformed, I’ve spent the last three years as an entrepreneur trying to re-address that situation – with some success. Here in the UK anyway, failure and risk are not embraced, and failure is seen as pure failure rather than a learning experience. Battling this is a challenge. I’m now starting to develop a new strand actually helping people with my experience and knowledge etc. Primarily for two reasons – to help people (which I love) and to actually start the charity I’ve been trying to start for three years now (which is also an unnecessarily over-bureacratic process!).

I’m loving the challenge. The fear of failure is immense. The fear of not at least trying though is greater. I’m surrounded by nay-sayers (we’re quite good at cynicism in the UK!) but I’m loving the challenge.

I think the population as a whole (globally) is not encouraged to take risks or embrace things / change. It took me to 35 to realise my own ability / potential. What hope for the millions that merely want to survive by finding water to drink or that are fed into the ‘system’? Many may not make 35, many will plod along. I can do what I can do, and will. I can help as many people as I can, and do.

Real change (globally) requires a level of enlightenment in so many that is achieved by so few – and ultimately a shift in the very nature of humanity – i.e. when push comes to shove, anyone will (in the main) look out for themselves or loved ones first and foremost. Humans themselves will not save humanity. Hopefully (I hope) people doing the most good and helping as many people as possible will survive the dramatic re-adjustments coming our way. Will (London, UK).

81. I am a freelance writer who is fairly new to this career. I enjoyed this presentation and found it empowering. I see my glass in life as being at least half full. I believe that we are in store for a bright future if we all pull together and work hard for it! If we all just sit back and wait to go to hell in the proverbial hand basket, the world will certainly not make any advances while we are all sitting on our butts! We have to get out there and make something happen, or NOTHING will happen for us!Thanks for the inspirational information that you provide!

83. All of this is really all about energy. What energy are each of us going to vibrate in every moment, and yes we do control that. For centuries we have been living in a very autocratic fear based world which is a low energetic vibration of fear, greed, control over, helplessness, pain. We are now moving to a higher vibration of love, compassion, health, cooperation, collaboration. That is why you are even thinking about going to Africa. The bottom line is, if we are going to live in a peaceful love based higher vibration on this planet that energy need s to get bigger and bigger. The the old lower vibration around fear needs to get smaller and smaller. So yes some would say everything is in upheaval and going to hell in a hand basket. While others are saying, all of these organizations, governments, currency, churches, schools, (whatever) that are out of integrity, and have been for a while, need to fall apart. Things will stabilize once they can come back together in a new higher vibration of integrity, corporation, collaboration, win/win for everyone, not just those in power. One way to stay out of the negative vibe is to clean up your own act. We can’t have a more peaceful world if you can’t find peaceful resolutions with your self, family & neighbors. Ask all the time is this in integrity and if it isn’t fix it until it is. So Greg the way I see it is there is no way too a peaceful world without many things crumbling. Those who have been in power by keeping the masses in fear, don’t really want to pack up their toys and go home. They are going to fight this to the end. Unfortunately, what they don’t realize is that more and more people are committing to peaceful resolutions and a heart-felt way of life. They are looking for well-being. So yes go to Africa, I would come with you if I had the $. You will help build that energy of creativity, joy, enthusiasm, empowerment, the higher vibration I am talking about. Yes that is what we are up too in 2012. Did you know that in numerology 2012 is an energy of change? Things that you may have tried in the past and failed will just work better and faster than they ever have this year. We all have a unique part to play, but we are on a planet of free will, so you always get to choose. I have been choosing the heart-centered way for awhile, join me if you dare, I haven’t even begun to see what I am capable of yet.

84. Hi Greg, Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us- I also have been concerned about what people have to say to this rapidly changing world today.
My personal insight on this is that whatever that may happen, we will always take ourselves into a situation reflected to the ideas we hold in our minds..
Then my favourite quote from Albert Einsten “In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity” comes to my mind. I guess the size of the opportunities change regarding the scale of the difficulties. So if we are going to be facing a massive crisis situation or so called “global meltdown”, the opportunity will be incomparably large to whatever we may have seen in the past. And to grab such a massive opportunity takes courage as you said. So I guess it all boils down to this: “most people don’t know or not sure what to do”. That’s why they need a proper leader to lead them through.. We cannot predict the future but if we only live in the here & now with proper information, we can make it through.
Now I’m just a young fellow starting out in this world myself, just a couple of years in this society, still lots to learn and acquire, but I do feel I have a message I can deliver and I want to be one of those who actually make the changes in the world for the good.
My boss I work with has a son in Uganda doing a project for Permaculture design.. you may come to know them or bump in to them someday I imagine.. The charity is called Global Peace Hut. Please check out the website whenever you get a chance.

Best wishes for your project in Uganda!

85. It is interesting that a young man like you believes that others must take action to help others achieve their goals. I have been doing just that for 65 years and have not only helped thousands of future entrepreneurs but made a substantial living doing so. I believe you are on the right track, keep up the encouragement and you will see that concern for others will pay off.

86. I agree with you. It is a matter of which “attitude” wins on the fate of the future.

The world in my view is the best it has ever been for the most number of people. More wealth is available for more people than ever before. Technology is also becoming better so we can deal with our real problems. We have avoided nuclear war between superpowers, ended apartheid, knocked down the Berlin Wall and freed hundreds of millions from the yolk of destructive and soul-destroying totalitarianism. Sure there are challenges in the future but they can be licked.

In business, the profit motive is short-sighted and we all have a larger responsibility for sharing success and improving others and the world. There is little difference between the selfishness of the capitalist and the commissar. You are talking about real business ethics – that one’s business is not solely for personal success but for improving self and others and the environment.

Thanks for the message.

87. If you believe the world is getting better or worse, either way it’s just a belief, a thought and we are not our thoughts or beliefs. What the world needs is for us to be who we truly are, to do what we love without excuses or fears. We must get off the survival mode way of living and share the love that lives within us. When we do what we love without fear, we can’t help but to be happy and when we are happy we naturally want to share the joy with others. Only when we come from fear it’s when we want to protect or hoard things just for us. It’s up to us to chose which way we want to live, and yes, it does take courage to be authentic and be true to ourselves.

88. Hi Greg,

You ask an interesting question especially given the truth that more money is made in down economic times than otherwise. I believe that it is up to us, the small business person to create the change in this society given that the larger entities have forgotten who it is that keeps them in business. I will use the Bank of America example here. During the summer they decided to change their policy of having a “free checking ” account if you use your ATM card just once a month which allowed them to make money from the merchants fees for accepting these cards. When they spoke of charging a $5 fee per month for people to use their ATM cards I knew that it would never fly because people are so sick of being screwed every which way by the bankss – especially the big banks. Now my ex-roomate did as many others and changed her bank where I couldn’t move banks, not that I would anyway given that my corporation is filed in Nevada and I physically work in Massachusetts – B of A is the only bank that services both states. Because so many people fled as did my ex-roommate B of A never ended up charging that fee. It was the biggest gift they gave to their smaller competitors by trying and failing with that stupid policy.

I also believe that it is only by focusing our energy on those things that are of service to others that we will ever be able to turn our own finances around. Selfishness in the end destroys many even if they have cash – look at Howard Hughes as an example – a paranoid billionaire who never left his own bedroom later in his life while he pulled the poliitical strings by purchasing the right to not pay taxes giving money to both sides of the political spectrum. He played a one side against the other based on who had the capacity to do as he wanted.

So in the end it is up to us to realize a life well lived is based on the fulfillment that we can achieve from doing that which is in our hearts and minds and in so doing lending a hand as you say.

I also went to Nairobi about 2 1/2 months after attending your program in May, given the opportunity by Pascal Kuembutho to train some master level psychology students in the use of hypnosis in their practices. While I was there his son made sure I saw the slums of Nairobi and Pascal made sure that I got to see the humble beginnings from whence he and his MD wife came. I have to say that it seems that these folks with the simpler life working with nature are happier than we as his son observed – laughing and at ease regardless of the rather crude way they life compared to what we know.

So, I would have to say that it is all a matter of the mind and what one allows their mind to be filled with – hanging out with productive and optimistic people who are looking to solve the issues of the day versus being so self-involved to forget that there is a whole world out there that could use our services. I will be setting up a foundation to bring my expertise to both the ghettos of our inner cities as well as the folks in Africa – it isn’t one or the other – it is a balance of caring about both the place we inhabit AND helping those in the less developed part of the world, especially if one has been blessed as I have to become a part of a very special family that is always giving back to their own people and in Pascal’s case, donkeys as well.

Most Sincerely,

Suzanne Kellner-Zinck, Haverhill, MA

89. Hi Greg: I believe that the future of the world has always depended on the entrepreneur. Despite the economic challenges, I agree with you that opportunities have never been greater. Like many people I have been beaten up in this economic cycle, but I consider it to be a learning experience. My sense is that a positive shift is already happening. I am creating my future, I am seeing the same in other people who have made a decision to grab hold of their ideas and move forward.

90. Hi Greg, thanks for your video and the passion to make a real change in the world! I am behind you 110%. The truth is both camps are correct, there is more opportunity right now than ever before and we should be excited, happy and focused on this. There is also a huge economic collapse coming that we will soon (2-5yrs) experience in the form of the greatest depression the world has ever seen. I believe we should be positive and engage ourselves in building communities of entrepreneurs who are prepared, knowledgable and have positioned themselves for the greatest opportunities that the future holds. Right now and over the course of the next few years the entrepreneurs who implement strategies to reduce debt & convert assets to cash will be in the best position. I would like to hear more about what strategies the rich and the wise are setting in place right now to make the most of the current conditions and what they will bring in the next 10 to 20 years, and not just ‘buying gold’. This, as one strategy does not offer enough depth when you consider the complexities of the issues and opportunities that do and will exist…. Thoughts anyone?

91. Dear Greg,

What a great video. Our world is our reflection of our thinking and feeling and we reinforce either our negative or our positive thoughts and feelings in our lives.

Since we are all connected in universal consciousness, our actions, our beliefs and our habits not only influence our lives, but affect the entire world. We have to begin to understand that WE are the meaning-makers and that our actions or inactions always have consequences affecting our lives, our countries and the entire planet. Fear has been used to control people for a very long time and the more we fear, the sooner our fears will become reality.

Let us begin to understand the role WE play in either creating a healthy or unhealthy life, doom and gloom, or unlimited possibilities.
In order to create win-win situations, we have to start participating consciously and stop being hypnotized by much of media.

Thank you,

Margrit

92. I appreciated hearing you explain about the opposite perspectives people have
seeing the same set of events. As you explained, if we all do our share of good in the
world to help others, we can make a difference to change things for the better,
our “good” can simply be helping our neighbor if they’re ill, a kind word to the cashier
at the grocery store,or helping a child read. People often discount the small good that can
be done on a regular basis that added together can make a big difference in the world.

93. Yes Greg I am in absolute agreement that we are all consumers, but our economic power is not connected to one another so we have no power, when you look at a chain
the links are all connected that’s power.

Leanier Carter Entrepreneur

94. Bro Greg,
only in understanding and accepting the simplicity of our role in creation, which our past teaches, and our nature forgets, are we gifted with the ability to make choices which produce what we all seek; love, purpose, rightousness and hope. We must learn from mistakes, live by principles and protect the sanctity of life.

God gave us all a portion of treasure called “time”. How we spend it determines our journey and dictates our destiny.

Our future is foretold and our hope is to be shared, so others may know His Amazing Grace and Love, that surpases all understanding,

The rest is history.

So go and make deciples in all the earth.

Chuck

95. I was favorably impressed by your video I can see a YOU INC. mentality and business model in the ideas presented. ..Things are not bad, just that people, as you mention have not recognized that the model to generate an income has changed ! we need to feel and believe opportunities are just there. But academic world only teaches for 12 years to study to get a good job, 4 years college learn to have a good job and MBA is the top to assure you will have a great job… No wonder there is a general perception of collectively hiponiktized people who do not beileve in their own ability to generate a fortune- they just learned to have a JOB…… while the eductiona isystems are programing us to be an employee.. naturaly the world has lost enterpreneurs.. why> fear of not having the employeer to provide support..think for us since we already lost the abiltiy to create.
.
Allover the globe thre area and will always be excelent opportunities..is 20 percent effort for 80 perent results.. we have been tought for 17 years plsu in school to think 80 % effort to get only 20% results that is…. have the mega coporataions provide a salary, look forward to a pension plan and social security at age 65 + no wonder this model has erradicated the enterpreneruship spirit!!! we lost the ability to look after ouirselves and to see opportunities to create, innovate ande generate a fortune or a new way of doing things……

we need all to learn from countries where there is no US Gov with Social Secuirity Medicare at rerirrement age, there are not coporations to porvide 3o year employment and a pension..
We have been forced to face reality……adn the onnly thing we see is FEAR….. jobs are been transferred out, we all endorse products made out of USA with the jobs we have lost..to boost other economies and create jobs abroad….. yet, we should convey, and live by accepting there are opportunities to start a business to start an idea …while creating a new model. expect to create residual wealth, sinegism of our ideas and look out for opprotunities there are all there….it only takes a persson to be honest and admit , there is a new model to do waht I know how to do.. and re invent the process, to become a true YOU INC …

Your are aboslute correct, we have the best model in front of us, just need to make a re-tooling of our mind to accept that a job will not generate wealth nor abundance, just dependability at old age.

I am 66 years old, a Senior VP at the internationla banking industry, and the only female in a coporate world, with aa highly competitive consulting practice for the past 12 years this march. But a few years ago. I had to become YOU INC and change the model to a Virtual Mansgement, I transfer knowledge to my clients so they dont have to need me, produce a zero defect service, weather it is a merge and aquisition venture or an HR audit or re strucure of an organizatio or process. We are proud to be succesful wihtout marketing or advetisement– suported by a referral business, do it right the first time, provide a zero defect service, deliver in record time and yes.. you can charge what quality delivered is worth.. and clients are willing to pay a virtual business partner ..the model changed… is not a staff of people is ideas actively working facing the future.

96. Thanks Greg for the video and the call to action. My choice as an entrepreneur is to take on a role of leadership and fill the gap that advocates for a Middle Way. The world doesn’t have to be presented in black or white choices. I advocate for a world in which individuals don’t have to worry what the outside world is doing because they believe internally that they have the skills, knowledge and power to weather whatever external economic weather is blowing. With that level of personal development individuals feel secure and can go about their day to day life with the intention of creation rather than survival. Camille Scielzi, The Take Action Guru

97. 2 truths stood out for me in your video. 1. That the children in Africa are no different to us, in fact they are part of us (the human species). 2. That highly intelligent and successful people can also be completely deficient in other areas of their thinking. The big shift that has to occur is that we stop thinking of ourselves as isolated individuals or nations and think of the human race as a total unit, yet, paradoxically, put the emphasis on our individual contribution to change the world to the better, rather than wait for the world to make it better for us.

Karma is a concept familiar to most but we rarely detect its unfolding as cause is separated from effect by space and time in our terrestrial reality. Make no mistake: Evolution has an agenda, and the top item on evolution’s agenda is the survival of the human species. How are these 2 concepts related? Karma is designed to reverse roles so that what you give out returns to you, and through this reversal one is placed in the situation of experiencing the results of our actions and develop a sense of which actions create which results, so we can learn to take the right actions that create happiness and avoid those that create unhappiness, not just for ourselves but for others as these will inevitably bring repercussions to us.

Perhaps through lack of disregard for the welfare of the other, perhaps through sheer greed, or perhaps through total ignorance, for a long time America has been involved in creating division, war, destruction, suffering and fear amongst various nations. America is now experiencing deep division within, massive internal destruction, infinite suffering and the nation is unavoidably gripped by fear. Fear is the most self-destructive and debilitating of feelings, and propels people to do the unthinkable.

We blame suicide bombers for ending their lives and the lives of others. A young student that takes a gun shoots his classmates and then shoots himself is no different. The cause is the same, the symptoms are the same, the result is the same, only the weapon is different.

The only way to get over that fear is to forget about yourself and turn to others in the same situation with compassion and empathy instead of judgement and condemnation. There are no enemies where there is no judgement and condemnation. Where there are no enemies, there is no division, there is no war, there is no suffering, there is no fear.

People who are happy are constructive and creative. Only people crippled by fear are propelled to kill and destroy to get themselves out of their torpor.

It all starts with the children in Africa. That’s where the human race started. That’s where we all started. It’s the child that needs to heal and grow within each one of us. And it ends with our “highly intelligent and successful people” who yet need to wake up to this obvious reality.

Greg, you’ve managed to get to the heart of the problem, now you’re steering minds in the right direction. Thank you and Good luck!

98. Greg thanks for your “Rant & Challenge”…
Yes if you look outside your “circle of influence” it would appear the world is going to hell in a basket (a Nuclear Iran, the destruction of the Environment, the Euro Crisis, the USA printing endless Fiat currency, Government corruption e.g. in India & Russia, Insider trading, corrupt corruption, and we could go on and on) however Entrepreneurs need to stay focused within our “Circle of Influence” and continue to serve the world with an abundance mentality..we can burn out or we can fade out!

99. Hi Greg – I love what you are doing, and I hope you will keep doing more. Globally we are at a moment of “creative destruction”. The gloom we all see comes from the destruction of some of our most powerful global institutions. It is rooted in a dysfunctional global financial system where 90% of global financial flows have nothing to do with buying or selling goods and services, and only serve the immediate profits of the financial industry. This has now spread to threaten the viability of nations. It is also rooted in our global energy economy, which must and will change. On the other hand, technological changes, especially in communications and computing, now enable business opportunities that were unthinkable 20 years ago. Witness Apple, now the world’s most valuable company. Entrepreneurial opportunities will increasingly appear as creative people address the acute needs that rise from the systemic destruction.

100. Listening and watching this video, I was struck immediately by how it stands above all other videos from entrepreneurial support businesses that I have experienced in both quality of thought and integrity of purpose.

I will be retiring from my current work as a state government employee near the end of this calendar year. In my current work, I believe I am making a difference in the world by being part of a team of dedicated public servants that ensure the safe and uneventful transportation of radioactive waste to the world’s only operating deep geologic permanent repository for such waste. There are seven different state agencies in New Mexico involved in our program, and 11 other western states. I believe this to be a model program for collaborative and productive government and business.

It is important to me that the world be aware that government does not only serve the role of regulator and tax collector. In the USA, our federal and state governments assist in economic development, community problem solving, provision of health and social services, protection of collectively owned resources, building infrastructure, protection of property, research and development of new technologies, provision of education, support of the arts, etc. All of this and more are what the citizens of our country have empowered our government to do, and I am proud to have been a public servant for almost 24 years.

Now, my time has come to move into the next phase of my career life, and I see that as being an entrepreneur. I am a ten year practiced mediator, facilitator, and teacher of mediation skills. I have already applied those skills by mediating in my community and my work environment and by teaching in our local community college. I am inspired by Gregg’s video to pursue my vision of using these skills to continue to improve the world I live and work in while earning a comfortable living.

I believe the message in this video to be consistent with that of Dov Seidman, author of “HOW: Why How We Do Anything Means Everything.” And I am encouraged that Gregg Habstritt is challenging the entrepreneurial community to take up the banner for pursuing significance and coming from a place of vision and core values. No matter how dire or wonderful conditions may be, there is always opportunity to step forward and create something better, to make a positive impact, to inspire reaching for higher heights. I will always act to create the world I want to live and work in! Seidman posits that the first step in pursuing significance is extending trust. Take that leap of faith and put your trust out there. It will be the first step in the rest of your life!

Here is more information about Seidman and his philosophy:
Ever since seeing an interview on Charlie Rose http://www.charlierose.com/view/interview/12004 of Dov Seidman http://www.huffingtonpost.com/dov-seidman, author of “HOW: Why How We Do Anything Means Everything,” http://www.amazon.com/How-Why-Anything-Means-Everything/dp/1118106377/ref=pd_sim_b_1 . I’m so excited about the approach to life and work that Seidman is proponing through his book and his business that I had to share it with everyone I thought might have the least bit of interest. I believe this approach/attitude is at the core of mediation, facilitation, good government, and GREAT business! I think this is in line with our personal journeys in creating the world we want to live and work in. Here is the website devoted to the book and its concept: http://www.howistheanswer.com/ . Seidman is also CEO of LRN http://www.lrn.com/ .

Here is another video of Seidman (his part starts at the 19 minute mark, so skip ahead): http://www.livestream.com/cgi_breakoutseminar2/video?clipId=pla_e48104ea-a281-4fc8-ae4f-8ead90249726 .

So have fun like I did with this journey into “HOW.”

101. Wow! What a huge subject(s). Of course it resonates. But, how to respond with a few sentences? Being the bottom line, practical guy that I am, it boils down to a persons beliefs. We choose our beliefs based on our upbringing and experiences in life and of course our personalities have an impact on what we do. From my own life, I can say that unreasonable fears and cynicism have held me back for years. So… how to get rid of the crap and move on? Challenge your beliefs and hold on to what you find is true and get rid of the garbage. But even then, as in my case, I’ve seen American workers that have little to no work ethic, dishonest and think the world revolves around them. Why would I want to create jobs for those kind of people who are ungrateful and think that the world owes them something? If I took the time I could write a book on what you spoke about. But I would like to say that I commend you on going to Africa to help those who have little to no hope, unlike we in America that still have the opportunities and freedom to do, be and create whatever we want. We, I think the vast majority, are spoiled and want what we want right now. All the bad news we hear sounds grim and dark and will be for many, but I believe rather than disaster, it’s going to be a correction that wakes everyone up to what’s important in life and we’ll all make adjustments. In the end, I think it will be good for all of us. Let’s all just remember that if the s**t does hit the fan, let’s be good and helpful to each other because that’s going to be the main point in the correction. Let’s just hope that the clueless figure it out rather than creating anarchy. Sorry, I have been a cynic for years and have been trying to overcome it by forgiving all who did me wrong. Some of these things take time. But, to all those who are inspired, ethical, honorable, doing what they can to help those who are truly in need, I say God bless and He will bless those who make the positive changes in their own life and the lives of others. Hope this didn’t sound too negative, I am a positive person who expects the best because I choose to expect it.

102. Greg, thanks for your video and thank god for people like you, Dean Graziosi, Steven Kotler, Peter Diamandis (yesterday I got from him first chapter of his book “Abundance” and I love it, will buy the book) and many, many others that don´t buy into that global frenzy and fear. I am in central Europe and here it is even worse. For the past over 3 years since my husbandś death I am trying to find an investor to buy my large house with 3 – story attached building so I can return to Canada and do what I want to do there. Things are totally frozen here and going through so many RE agents that just sit and blame the world crisis (I think that some people have crisis all their lives) I found auction company to sell it, probably with big loss but I just want to move ahead and don´t want to sit on it any longer and blame something or someone. I realize that I make my own reality and I am responsible for my life. For the past 12 years here we helped many people, since Slovakia is a post communnist country with still many problems that people in Canada don´t have to deal with. I am with you on helping others less fortunate since we all are connected and with time it is getting more and more obvious. Only uncaring, self centered, self absorbed and selfish people can´t see it but with time, hopefully they learn or die out. I am optimisic realist.
Take care and have fun in Afrika.

103. It’s good to listen to your observations…I do believe there are limitless opportunities ahead. I don’t focus on the negativity of the world or the economy. I also sense the optimism from other progressive people when I tune into the social media. My comment would be to point out the milieu that entrepreneurs have to pass through to to become successful. When I pay attention to thought leaders, I am inspired. What I would like you to know is that stepping out has its duality. On one level one knows what the inner voice is saying, but in learning business chops, the mantra is to follow what has been successful and just emulate it. Somehow, that just doesn’t seem to fit the bill. The more I listen to exceptional people, they have done just the opposite of the herd. Courage is vital, but if I were to be specific, there is a certain scarring that occurs while one travels on the path to fulfillment and success. Have you developed ways to peel away these hindrances to regain that vision that the dreamers began with? I am ready to stand up for what is right, and I appreciate you starting this dialogue. I agree with one of your readers that the future is about people being themselves. There’s a bit of a tightrope to walk to be an outstanding leader and be one of the people also. Folks are used to heavy-handed management. The future is about decentralization, true democracy, and individual entrepreneurs and companies working cooperatively to create the better world. Let’s do it. Thanks

104. Hey Greg!
First, thank you for the video.I totally agree with you. There were years that I hold strong position about the world affairs Presently I am a bit disconnected because I do not have a TV.. Secondly, I feel not interest with the political party that is presently.governing.

Nonetheless, I totally have observed that the main tendency of those in better position to lead with honor are taken the side of pessimism to please the opposition. Meaning: The majority of the world resent USA for the ability to remain on top as a whole. I call them cheaters. For example: Europe created the Euro as a way to power over the Dollar, yet has not worked. as well as many other countries, plus people here in USA.always degrading this beautiful country. Rather than using their knowledge to make it even better.
From my personal world, I do would like to succeed in creating a better life for me and others. maybe it might sound as an excuse to say: I have not being an a position to choose from opportunities. money, or better environment.I have chosen to remain in the corner. I am guilty! .
I also want to congratulate you for your plan to go to Africa. I Think when someone have his or her life organized with authority it is a wonderful thing to give back to the world.
OK, have to go.
Till next time.
Yasmina

105. This video is a call to arms for entrepreneurs like me. After being one for the last 12 years and failed badly at it, I am now beginning to live and understand the entrepreneurial spirit. At 60, I get the feeling I am at the threshold of living and creating a life of my choice, and I am able to experience a power I have not felt before. I have learned a lot from you and others in the recent months and thank you for that. Isn’t it wonderful that someone in Canada has the capacity and the reach to influence me in India?

About the gloomy picture of the world, accountants and investors will add 1 + 1 to get 2. They ignore those movers and shakers who derive a sum more than 2 when they add the same numbers. Hats off to you and people like you who keep the wheel moving.

The world will remain a beautiful place in 2012 and beyond.

106. Abundance and flow.. great video, earlier this week i had a hypnosis-session to help it come futher in my own life – to go futher to many others.
In Denmark theese days, I’m have started to invite people, club’s and companies etc. to join: growing-trees-network, a network where we want to help the nature and it’s neigbours, by taking action trough our transactions so to speek. “win win win i call and believe is the future’s www.”.

The members of the network are considered as growing trees. And should and can have growth to.

growing-trees-network surgest companies “to build – tree donation’s into their products”
– ex. I train Young people in First-aid, Obligatory fore them in order to have their driving-license.
Each of them donate 2 trees to be planted in the Atlantic forest of Brasil.
And it’s a part of helping them to contact the kind of Firstaider and human they really want to be.
I bring my companies logoname, on a big signplate: PEOPLE & NATURE One nation – One team – and explain them briefly why my company/ngo is called so:
“I want to assist people, nature and the animals to be in their best possible condition, a part of why i am here today, looking forward spending the day with You .. aiming to learn and giving You, as much as, You and I possible Can.”
“To give more on a international scale – I now make the comitment to let my messages speek in english as a minimum, in the future to”
Fore three Years I have done a donation-trade project called lucky-elephant. (www.lykke-elefant.com). Which gives the buyer a gift to pass – ore a personel lucky-elephant – same time donating 14US Dollars to help poor patient to go to hospital in Laos, capital Vientiane.

It’s just a small extra-step aiming poor patients – ambulanceservice we helped them to set up the latest 10 years. (with second wihicle).
Many trainings all free. Now “ambulance-jobs” can be learn in the university as part of becoming a doctor in Lao.
From being a travelling pack-packer seing a local car-accident; and with inspired action doing my second try in order to succeed, Lao became the sucess. Mongolia failed in the past, stupid costum regulations. 14 days ago we on Aarhus harper in Denmark did pack container nr. 29. to go Laos. Totally filled up with 1209 boxes of new medical supplies.
Locally they help – it to go to distric hospitals to.
Upportunities: A second hand skate-board is seen giving a local begger a better chance to beg and live.. than if he was passed a good-looking whellchair.
Second hand Fire-extingquishers – can be a great safety improver.
8 working out of 10 as an ex. is better than noon.
In Lao, they later on gladly did invent a firelaw telling how many new to be put where.
Firefighting equipment, ambulances, hospitalequipment, medicalsupplies etc. is needed so many places. And about the nature and the environment I say.. when we want people in general to be consearned about the enviroment.. and looking after it, gladly doing good things.
How can we hope and expect them to do so.. if they do not even have enough food, proper healthcare, and school training?
Greg and many others, bring your school equipment to Africa and so on… It’s part of step one.
a second hand chalkboard, chair, tabels etc. can help the greatest improvements.
In Lao the Xajaboury-provinschool next to donated fire-equipment allso had school equipment.
I which I could put pictures here. In Xajaboury they live as neighbours to wild-elephants.
Go with the flow.. and help abundance fare away to.

107. GREG! This is a GREAT video!!!..EVERYONE should listen to it!! I especially like your clarity about the whole world being one..I get that negative opinion too, about reaching out to those outside of the US. I am stepping out..and your thorough marketing class is very helpful. Thank you! Greg for this inspiring video from the heart (and MIND) !

108. I think that everyone should be willing to help others. I am not an entrepenaur at the moment but in the process of researching possibilities. I think that is great that you and your dad are going to Africa to help them despite what other people might say.

109. Powerful stuff Greg.

Crisis of leadership? Definitely. A generation of talent drifted into the financial sector where they could play and win in a zero-sum game.

Your contribution-first approach is refreshing. That’s what leaders do. They care, they contribute and they seek to create a better future for humanity rather than just themselves.

Polarized thinking on opportunities and problems? Always been that way. The economy is just accentuating that difference.

I had an epiphany a few years back where I realized most people were problem-focused. They literally couldn’t see opportunities or the possibility of things.

Imagine two piles in front of you… a steaming pile of dog crap and a glittering pile of gold. You would think that the gold would hold people’s gaze. But no. They can’t stop looking at all the crap to the point they don’t even see the gold right there within reach.

Another way to look at it is having a ‘vision of excellence.’ Most people don’t have one for themselves. They don’t see the possibility of a better future. They just hold onto the safety of yesterday.

Thanks Greg. Keep inspiring. Keep contributing.

111. Greg, I totally agree. The world has become bipolar. My goal is cautious optimism. We have to take into account that we are destroying our planet and the world economy yet look toward a future we create by choosing to make the world a better place. I applaud you for your boldness in stepping forward to create this discussion. One small step for man, a giant leap for mankind. John Moranville aka The Bipolar Doc

112. Hi Greg,
A very good video. Yes there are a lot of ‘knockers’ out there full of doom and gloom.
However there are lots of us that have faith in the future and in humanity.
Once you decide to be in the ‘positive, active’ group you draw to you people of like mind and that makes it so much easier to stay on track. To allow the doubters to state their fears without buying into them yourself. So doing whatever we can to assist each other is very important.
Your video will I sure inspire the readers to think about things and where they stand at present.

113. Good on you, Greg. I am an entrepreneur who has trouble stepping out of my comfort zone when it comes to building MY business…BUT I have absolutely no trouble raising peoples awareness of the two non-profit Canadian societies that I am involved with,,,I am on the board of both. One is for brain injured and one is for a school that has been built in Uganda in a village that has never had a school. http://www.victoriaprimaryschool.com I went there in 2007 with a team of 9 from Victoria, BC (my 88 year old mother being one). The school was in its second year with children from age 4 (baby class) up to grade 3. Each year another room was finished and another grade level added. Last year was the addition of grade 7 and of the 13 that wrote the final government exams, 12 passed with distinction, I understand your passion and applaud your father’s decision to join you. I, too, am planning a trip there in the fall.
As to my business, it has been part-time as I loved my j-o-b but now that I have retired, I am ready to build….just need a boot!!

114. Always love to hear what you have to say – and you have nailed it again. There always have been and always will be challenging times. Cometh the hour….We are all unique and everybody will not feel empowered to step up. It is therefore up to those who can to do. The fight is only over when you don’t get up after being knocked down and the war is over when those who get back up fail to give a hand and help others to get up. My admiration to you for your Uganda trip. The gift is in the giving. – Kevin

115. Greg,

For someone who has nothing to sell, you have not honestly asked for an opinion. You have judged persons prior to hearing their true opinions. That is a large mistake if you really wish to learn how other persons think. Before reading the honest opinions of your audience you have tried to influence their comments by giving your opinion first and condemning anyone with an opposing view. How dare anyone voice an opinion that might partially, or even more drastically, completely disagree with you.? Perhaps there is room for both opinions or perhaps another person may have more valid information than you, information that you are not aware of.

I am optimistic because I see services which are needed and are not available. If I can provide or arrange for the services to be provided at a profit, I can share in the profit. If I can take others who have a problem selling their services ( if those services are good ones) and offer them work at a profit, I am enabling all of us to produce more positive results with little extra effort. I believe that higher individual productivity along with more reasonable management of our financial resources is our key to a successful life if our productivity is meaningful and in support of other individuals. I offer services which I enjoy providing at a more reasonable price (not a cheap price) than others and I am a believer in co-petition rather than competition. We can all use the work.

I firmly believe that it is time to enter areas of business that others are fleeing when you have an alternate view of the business and can produce results that evade the other, marginally competent workers. You have a greater concentration of work and less competition. An excellent example might be real estate sales where many leave during the down times.

116. Greg, Thank you for the thoughtful comments! Indeed the 2 predominate views do seem to be becoming more and more polorized. It seems to me that both are accurate they are just looking at different places in the process. The way that day to day life is done in the Western World does not seem to be sustainable and it is likely there will be some forms of destruction be it ecomonic, and/or otherwise. Destruction is an integral part of life. So those looking at the destruction and trying to prevent it are freaked out and in fear. Those looking at the opportunities that come during and following the destruction are excited. Holding on to anything when life flows to falling apart is both naturally human and like trying to glue the leaves back on the trees in the fall. Yet we do resist change.
To answer your question, “Where am I”. I am watching change coming and wondering how to navigate the unknown and working to grow my business so that more people can navigate the shifts with as much ease and peace as possible.
The place I disagree with you is when you say the more people you help the more successful you are. Over and over business coaches tell me the formula that I “need” to follow to be successful and it always involves more. More product, more people, more classes, more, more, more. For me less is more. What I dream of is having 10 to 12 clients a week who dilegently work to free themselves from those things that prevent them from being who/what they truly are in each moment. For me success is being the guide for deep transformation that bring unimagined peace and freedom to a couple of handfuls of people. For me having 10 to 12 deeply changed people way out strips, in impact on the world, moving things on the surface around so life is a bit more comfortable. Enough rambling. Thanks for posing the question.
Julia

117. Hi Greg, great video, I am completely in agreement with your beliefs/& comments about the future of the world & mine as an individual has never looked brighter. I believe that an attitude of being completely responsible & the cause in the matter of my life–I can create anything I desire. I am in the early stages of creating my new Co./business that is dedicated to the preservation & success of families. The name of my Co. is: United Families That Flourish. The family as an institution is under attack as never before. The strength of our nation is built on united successful families. It is my mission to help families stay together, work together & play together in a harmonious environment.
Thanks Greg for all that you do in providing information, education, guidance & your powerful training that is a bright light for all of us to move forward in a positive manner.

From a fellow Albertan who lives just down the sreet from you in Lethbridge

118. Greg,

Notice that I really have nothing to sell, have not referenced any other person or tried to plug any product including my services and I am giving you an honest non-pandering opinion for you to consider. I respect your position whether or not I agree with it. Guess which!

Brad Turner

119. Greg,

It’s becoming clear to me that,

The number one question I should be asking when I’m not contributing value at full throttle is,

“Are my current actions creating awesome value for others using my greatest skill?”

(b/c in my mind I see myself as a wealthy entrepreneur, creating great change in the world, when I’m truthfully sitting on my butt, surfing the net idly)

And if the answer is ‘no,’
No need to judge it necessarily, but I change my behavior until my external reality matches the dreams in my mind.

—————
Thanks for the nudge!

Warmly,
Topher

P.S. And I appreciate how sincere you are in your videos- This felt similar to having you speak to me directly.

Best of wishes on your School-Building Trip this summer!

120. Dear Greg,

Though there are problems and challenges in the world but I am an optimist and always see the bright side of the picture.I believe that every person has a talent/potential and attitude for a certain field. The point is that an awareness needed to be created and help to be provided in order to explore that particular and unique ability because every individual is unique and very much important in his /her own way.

I like to help people and having the natural tendency to motivate.Harmony can be created in the world to bear with one another and by giving due respect to everyone.

Nadeem Khan

121. I want to take this moment and say thank you, to you Greg for answering the call that the world is calling for, wich is leadership for not crying for recources but being resourceful.

To me this is how I see it. It is not HOW we see this world, being Optimism or pessimism about the future is not really the answer because it is not what is going to happen in future that counts it is what we are doing right now that will count tomorrow (in future). if we can take ourselves (ME) out of the equation and put serving the world (others) then the future that we are focusing on will not affect us in anyway Because the leading hand and being responsible for our own actions and decisions they are the onlything that will make our future a great place to live in, no matter what condition that we will be in at that time.

122. Dear Greg, the best I can do immediately after watching this video is to thank you. Your inspiration and insights are very very very powerful. I am not an entrepreneur yet, but I will be. I have been following your teaching for a long time. Please, do not stop doing things the way you are now. You encourage me. THANKS.
Tony.

123. Greg, I do believe that the opportunity is now, due to our economy. With that being said, I ‘m doing everything in my power to change the world! I’m open minded and attempting to put into action suggestions that I agree with from people like yourself. I’ve been trying for over 25 years in helping people through my Non Profit youth organization. My current status is I’m unemployed for a year, I sometimes don’t have money for gas to make it to the grocery store or food program location. My main concern is just having enough to pay my bills for this month. So, I’m doing what I can as far as getting knowledge to improve my website that I have to create myself because I have no more money to spend on my website. I’m forced to step out of my comfort zone and try new things, because the last 20 years has not worked. I feel that I haven’t been successful in my organization because it is before its time and, of course, politics- people do not want to let go of their power and influences. I’m not here to make excuses, But I believe that all people that have “made it” and become successful in what ever they do is becuase they had help from someone. I am only 1 man that is wanting to make a major contribution to our world, through youth services and I can not find anyone to give me an opportunity. So when you say am I stepping up, my response it Yes, but I need help. I tried doing this on my own for 25 years and I’m only 1 man.

124. Greg,

Thanks for posting this video. I really agree with your view that in the doom and chaos lies countless opportunities. It has been said that in the worst of times are also the best of times. This crisis has also been characterized as the greatest transfer of wealth in human history. This continuing economic crisis and struggling recovery is unlike anything we’ve seen before. We are truly in unknown territory. The rules, knowledge, thinking and methods that used to work does not work anymore. We are fed a steady diet of fear, uncertainty and doubt from mainstream media because that’s what sells and keeps “everyone in line” and keep their heads down… and this is during the good times!

With this economic crisis — everyone who was scared before now seizes up completely — like a deer in the headlights. The education system as it is only breeds more followers, not entrepreneurs. People who are true entrepreneurs think differently and play on a totally different level. They literally have a “reality distortion field” that cuts through all the garbage because they think, work and act differently. An entrepreneur is more than just a business owner.

I have lost a lot of money recently and not from the stock market, but I’m going to be using my bad experience and the things I’ve learned along the way to teach others and also to inspire them to soldier on despite such strong headwinds. Like Doc Brown in “Back to the Future” says, “The future hasn’t been written,” and it is really what we all collectively make of it. Human beings are social creatures with a social structure for a reason: we all need to help and work together to achieve something big and solve seemingly insurmountable problems.

Keep up the good work Greg. I look forward to more postings from you.

125. Your video is to the point Greg.
All of us are caught in the pendulum of courage/love & fear/paranoia or put another way,
between victim and victor. The missing X is information. By that I mean when we look at
the present, as you say, there is the doom assessment. When we look at the future from the positive perspective, there’s the creative, “everything is possible” factor, (but little is possible without funds). The trouble is we don’t have enough information (paranoia).

Why did all these financial shenanigans that took the economy down go on behind closed doors with so much corruption. We didn’t know about it until it was too late and we became victims of the economy. Looking forward, we don’t know and can’t contain all the new scientific details of the amazing discoveries and developments, so we don’t have a clear picture of all that’s
creating good things. On top of that we’re in question about who is really in control, who is leading things, an elite money group at the top? a shadow government? a corporate aristocracy?
Though there are governmental constitutions, parties aren’t following them. Somehow we know that we have come to a time when doing things alone has its limitations. This is a time of connection, of working in teams (partly due to finances). Entrepreneurs are face with the personal and financial decision as to “how” to work to create new projects and ideas. Recently I heard about the possibility that we may be living in a time of an “information disease”. One of the ways I see that is in the juxtaposition of the trivial with the profound in marketing. One minute there’s a catastrophic announcement of a death. The next moment shows a box of Depends. As you know, in selling it’s said, “a confused mind doesn’t buy”. In society I believe a confused mind creates passivity and that’s where we are for the most part.

To make progress I think we have to face the “X”, introspect our own motivations and take action by fiat. Only through strong resolution, surrender to Spirit, Higher Force (whatever you call it)
and courage plus focus will we move forward.

126. I must admit that our (wife included) world is crashing very slowly. I am 67 years old. I feel like I have one foot in the “future” boat and the other foot on the pier; held there by so many negative influences which include those at home because we only have enough to pay most of our bills while living in an economy being torn apart by the T-Rex of selfish political desires. Why do they, our “servants,” get to live farther up the food chain than those who pay their salaries so they can represent us. I am MAD about it. One more price hike in the grocery store or the gas station and we are financially under water. It would be nice to have something in the refrigerator again. However, I am actively looking for some way to get both my feet on the ship of the future and away from the work “volunteer.”

127. Hi Greg! I am an American living in Sweden. From my perspective the world has great problems – but there are great initiatives going on behind the scenes. These initiatives don’t make it into the news because their results are not dramatic and eye-catching. Because of all the channels of information we have today, the challenges can seem enormous, but the stories of the small – but many – efforts improving things at a grassroots level must come out more and more so that coming generations will be inspired to contribute to alleviating our political, economic, social and environmental problems.
What am I doing? I have left my safe and secure position as a university administrator and am now a freelance writer. I have studied with American Writers and Artists and am currently working to build up my writing speed and proficiency to gain visibility as the trusted authority in my niche of cultural awareness.
I just finished my first paid project as a freelance writer.
I hope you agree I am moving in the right direction as fast as I can!
Thanks for all your inspirational information and personal sharing.
Best regards,
Janet Boynton Runeson

128. Dear Greg,

There is a Chinese adage which says other side of the difficulties always an opportunity.
It is obvious that the world economy is in a mess. However, history says the highest number of millionaires & multi-millionaires were created during the time of great depression in 1920-30’s. According to Abraham Maslow one can either step back and embrace security and become stagnant or step forward taking risk to embrace growth.

We all are been sent with a mission. Mission to make a difference. When we think and act differently there bound to have resistance. There you need to have courage to withstand any criticism or resistance. You shown that. Great job. Pls. keep it up.

With Regards

S.Prasannan

129. Interesting that I just came across this as this afternoon I took my kids to see The Lorax, by Dr.Seuss- an incredible show of wisdom abound with messages that are (no wonder) echoing our economic, social and environmental state today. One line in particular, “which way does a tree fall?….. It always falls in the direction it is leaning”. Powerful statement, yet true. Mirrored by you today. Thank you for creating inspiration and meaning for those who possess the entrepreneurial spirit and are willing to create opportunity in these times- and of course, for encouraging us to be mindful and soulful of which direction we choose to lean.

130. HUMANITY AND THE EARTH ITSELF ARE AWAKENING TO THE CONTEXT IN WHICH THE MANIFEST WORLDS OF THE COSMIC DOMAIN ARE PRESENTLY ARISING. IT IS THE BLACKNESS OF INFINITE SPACE ITSELF. IT IS THE ABSOLUTE, ALL PERVADING, TRANSCENDENTAL DIVINE CONSCIOUSNESS ITSELF. THE DIVINE LOVE-BLISS-HAPPINESS DREAMED ITELF A LOVER. HE NAMED HER THE “BRIGHT” BECAUSE HER BEAUTY OUT-SHINED THE DARKNESS IN AN INSTANT AND ALL OF EXISTENCE BECAME ENBRIGHTENED IN A MOMENT. THERE IS ONLY CONSCIOUS-LIGHT. PERIOD! CONSCIOUS-LIGHT IS NOW SPONTANEOUSLY MODIFYING ITSELF INTO THE MIND-FORMS OF LOVE WHICH IS THE THE BRIGHT, IT’S CONSORT AND LOVER TO BE THE WORLDS OF OF THE COSMIC DOMAINS. WE ARE THE HEARTS AND MINDS OF THE BRIGHTNESS HERSELF. SO, A POINT MUST BE ASSUMED IN THE ETERNAL CONSCIOUS-LIGHT-MATRIX AND A SENSORY BODY-MIND MUST BE ARRANGED WITH CREATURES OF A REALM TO ENTER THE GLOBAL EARTH STAGE AS A SENTIENT BEING OF FORM. AT BIRTH THE ASSUMED “POINT” IN SPACE ENTERS THE BODY-MIND CONSTRUCT AND STARTS RECORDING DATA FROM THE ENVIRONMENTS THE DEVELOPING “POINT OF VIEW” IS BEING CREATED. THIS IS HOW THE UNIVERSE APPEARS TO ME AND THE MIND STARTS CATEGORIZING DATA AND FORMING INTERPRETATIONS OF THE FIVE SENSES AND THE INTUITIVE MIND OF THE HEART.

PREFERENCES ARE BEING MADE BASED ON THE SENSORY INPUT FROM HOME AND SCHOOL AND CHURCH NATION AND STATE AND PERSONAL PLEASURES OF THE SENSORY BODY-MIND YOU ARE NOW APPEARING AS. I LIKE THAT, I WANT MORE OF THAT. I DON’T LIKE THAT SO I WILL INTENTIONALLY AVOID ALL THAT. EMOTIONAL SENSATIONS OF THE ETHERIC BODY ARE ARE CATEGORIZED AS “GOOD” FEELINGS OR “BAD” FEELINGS. THEN STRATEGIES ARE DEVELOPED TO PERSUE THE FEELINGS THAT ARE MORE ENJOYABLE OR PLEASURABLE AND AVOID ALL FEELINGS THAT ARE NOT DEFINED AS PLEASURABLE. FEAR, SORROW, SHAME, GUILT, ANGER, RAGE, SELF-PITY ARE PUSHED DOWN INTO THE CELLARS OF THE SUBCONSCIOUS AND UN-CONSCIOUS STORAGE FACILITIES. “POINT OF VIEW” MUST BE DEFENDED AT ALL COSTS. TO TRANSCEND “POINT OF VIEW” WHEN ONE IS TIRED OF IT, IS A SIMPLICITY ALL HUMANS CAN UNDERSTAND AND DO RIGHT NOW. NOTICE, PAY ATTENTION TO AND FEEL THIS SELF CONTRACTION YOU CALL “I”. I IS ASSUMING THE “POINT OF VIEW” OF THE BODY-MIND PERSONALITY CONSTRUCT THAT IS ONLY A MECHANICAL BIOLOGICAL MACHINE. “I” IS SELF AWARE OF IT’S INHERRANT EXISTENCE IN SPACE. I AM AND I KNOW THAT I AM BECAUSE IT IS SELF EVIDENT. IF THE ONE I AM THAT IS BEING ALL OF US AND ALL OF THAT STUFF “OUT THERE”, IS THE I AM THAT IS THE ONE THE SAME AS EVERY I AM THAT I AM? IS IT NOT OBVIOUS GRASSHOPPER? YES, MASTER RAMIUS THAT IS VERY CLEAR TO THOSE OF US WHO ARE ALREADY AWAKE, BUT WHAT ABOUT THOSE HUMANS WHO ARE STILL NOT AWAKE YET? FUCK EM IF THEY CAN’T TAKE A JOKE. IDENTIFYING WITH THE BODY-MIND IS THE COSMIC JOKE.

WHEN CONSCIOUS AWARENESS BECOMES SO SELF CONTRACTED AROUND THE POSSIBILITIES OF PHYSICAL EXISTENCE AND MENTAL ADVENTURES IN TIME-SPACE, THAT IT BECOMES OBSESSED WITH THE ABSURD PRESUPTION THAT IT IS IDENTICAL TO IT’S BODY-MIND MECHANISM. THIS MECHANISM IS PROGRAMED TO SURVIVE IN A HOSTILE ENVIRONMENT LIKE PLANET EARTH. BUT TO BE AWAKE IS TO REALIZE THERE IS NO EGO “I”, IT IS ONLY A SELF PERPETUATING MECHANISM OF SEEKING AND AVOIDING. THE CONSCIOUS-AWARE BEING THAT YOU ALEADY ARE CAN REFOCUS ONES FEELING-ATTENTION TO THE “BRIGHT” ITSELF, OUR ALREADY TRUE NATURE AS CONSCIOUS-LIGHT ITSELF, PLAYING HERE IN FEAR OR LOVE. CONSCIOUS-AWARE CAN CHOOSE FREELY, THE EGO “I” BODY-MIND “POINT OF VIEW” CANNOT, IT IS PROGRAMMED IN TOTAL LIMITATION FOR 3D EXPERIENCES ONLY. SO HOW DOES ONE WAKE UP TO IT’S TRUE DIVINE SELF CONDITION? FIND A TRUE DIVINE AVATAR OR DIVINE INCARNATION WHO ENTERED FULLY, BODILY INTO THE HUMAN PLAY MUMMERY AS A REAL HUMAN BODILY FORM LIKE OUR OWN. THEY ARE OPEN TRANSMITTERS OF THE UNCAUSED LOVE-BLISS-HAPPINESS OF THE DIVINE BEING ITSELF. GO TO THEM AND SEE IF YOUR HEART FLIES OPEN IN HEART FELT “RECOGNITION” OF THE “BRIGHT” I AM.

THE EGO “I” OR BODY-MIND PERSONALITY CONSTRUCT, AFFECTIONATELY CALLED “THE SELF CONTRAPTION” IN SOME CIRCLES OF CONSIDERATION, CANNOT ACHEVE THIS STATE OF BEING BY ANY METHOD OR STRATEGY OF SELF EFFORT WITHIN THE DREAM OF HOLO-DECK EARTH. THE EGO “I” MUST TURN TO THE BRIGHTNESS AND FALL INTO LOVE HERSELF, BEAUTY HERSELF, THE GODDESS HERSELF, THE DIVINE LORD’S BELOVED CONSORT, THE LIVING LIGHT, THAT IS NOW APPEARING AS ALL WORLDS AND ALL FORMS AND ALL BEINGS WILL AWAKEN YOUR HEART AS A FREE GIFT OF DIVINE LOVE. COME AND GET IT OR STRUGGLE ON IN THE ENDLESS WORLDS OF CONDITIONAL EXISTENCE IN FORM. THIS IS THE FREE WILL ZONE AFTER ALL. IF YOU GET MY DRIFT LET ME KNOW. JUST DON’T JUDGE MY OTHER FORMS OF EXPERIENCE. JUST MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS BECAUSE YOU ARE CREATING YOUR INTERPRETATION OF EVENTS. DOOMS DAY OR JUST COSMIC HOUSE CLEANING OF OLD PATTERNING OF THE EGO “I”S ON THE EARTH STAGE AT THIS TRANSITION POINT IN HUMANITIES AWAKENING TO DIVINE LOVE-BLISS-HAPPINESS? THE PLANE THAT SEPARATES YOU FROM THE INFINITE UNKNOWN IS RIGHT AGAINST YOUR NOSE. YOU ARE WALKING INTO A HOLOGRAPHIC MIRROR OF YOUR OWN CREATIONS. WHICH VISION WILL YOU CHOOSE TO FEED WITH YOUR FEELING-ATTENTION AND YOUR HEART FELT ACTIONS. TIS UP TO YOU, O GREAT CREATOR OF YOUR EXPERIENCE. CHOOSE THOU!!!! NOW. AND NOW. AND NOW. AND EVERY NOW AND THEN THAT ARISES TO YOUR NOTICING IN THE MATRIX. LOVE IS NOT EARNED NOR DESERVED, IS SIMPLY IS. ALREADY. NOW. WHY IS EVERYTHING IN CAPS? BECAUSE YOU ARE STONED. SO THEN IT’S OK. YES. ALL IS OK. NOW. ALREADY.

ONLY EGO’S GIVE AND RECEIVE LOVE OF THE AGONY AND ECSTACY, GAIN AND LOSS VERITY. “AWAKENED BEING” IS LOVE ITSELF AND SHE TRAINS YOUR DOG, THE BODY-MIND WITH HER LOVING EMBRACE AND EGO BUSTING FURY. KALI EATS THE COSMIC DOMAINS THEREFORE ALL EGOS MUST DIE. YOU OK WITH THAT? WHAT HAVE YOU GOT TO LOOSE? ONLY THE ETERNAL AND INFINITE HELL OF SEPARATE EXISTENCE IN THE IMAGINARY REALMS OF SPACE-TIME. OR THE HREE GIFT OF DIVINE EMBRACE BY THE BRIGHT HERSELF. EVERY EGO “I’ LIVES IN FEAR. FEAR OF THE SEPARATE “OTHERS” OUT THERE. NO REALIZATION OF I AM YOU AS YOU ARE ME AND ALL OF US THE SAME ONE “BE”. DISTRACTED IN THE REALM OF THE SENSES AS THEY STUBBLE AROUND IN STUFF-NESS AND THINGS OF DESIRE AND PROMISE OF PLEASURE AS THE TWO GENITALS STRUGGLE WITH EACH OTHER IN AN EFFORT TO GET RID OF THIS FEELING OF UNHAPPINESS AS A MORTAL SLIDING HELPLESSLY INTO THE OPEN MOUTH OF KALI HERSELF, WHO LOVINGLY EATS ALL HER BABIES IN PHYSICAL FORM. THE BABY IS WONDERING, “DOES MOMMY REALLY LIKE ME?” NOBODY LOVES ME. I LOVE NOBODY AT ALL. OK, I AM DONE HERE, GO AHEAD AND EAT ME KALI. YUM, YUM, YUM, I LIKE TO DINE ON WELL DONE EGO “I”S. MOST GO KICKING AND SCREAMING INTO THE VOID, WHERE NO SEPARATENESS EXISTS, NO FEAR IS POSSIBLE IN THE UTTER ONENESS OF BEING.

THE MEDIA IS TRANSMITTING THE GLOBAL PLAY OF AWAKENING TO THE ARBITRARY NATURE OF EVERY “POINT OF VIEW”. UNDERSTAND YOUR OWN LIMITED PRESUMPTIONS AND BELIEF SYSTEMS AND SEE WHAT THEY ARE EXCLUDING OR COVERING UP OR RUNNING AWAY FROM OR PERSUEING. THEN YOU WILL UNDERSTAND AND ALLOW EVERY “POINT OF VIEW” TO HAVE IT’S SAY, WHILE YOU MOVE ON IN BRIGHTER DAYS AS I AM.

131. greg i want to take this moment to say that i agree with you and that although i have a personal health crisis to deal with, i look at our world as changing and that i look at it as one humanity and as i stay open to what can be done as people work together. i have always tried to be a positive, helpful resource and have volunteered to help on many occasions. i do some small volunteering from home to help as i can, and thru the help of some volunteers and caring people i have been able to live a grateful life. somehow i am certain at the right time i will have an opporturnity to help in more ways which will give me joy and may be my unique way of contributing.

132. Greg,

As I listened to your video I felt both inspired and a strong yearning to get busy!! Lol!! I have always felt a calling to lift mankind…I love people and the world we live in…I have tried to come up with a way to help and I do little things daily to inspire but I after listening I have come to a conclusion that I have yet to find my path in joining the serge in the positive direction you are speaking of…I am a huge believer that we are at a junction in the world of huge polarity where you are seeing extremes like you mentioned both in the spiritual and economic areas… I know my strength is as a connector a term coined in Max Gladwell’s book The tipping point.. I guess honestly I spend more time teying to think of what to do than actually doing..I honestly want to be and feel a huge calling to help, I am just trying to find my way!!! Thank you so much for lighting a huge flame under me to go forward knowing nothing is an accident… I hope you do put more videos up about this because I truly want to be a part of the courageous bunch that propels the energy forward into the new world of great opportunity and bring unity among all!! I look forward to hearing more and if you need a connector in your company, give me ring; )

Jody

133. Hi Greg,

Great Post. First I would like to say thank you. I am a member of your Trusted Authority Formula program and it is changing my life. I look forward to meeting you in San Diego and saying thanks in person.

We are all victims of our own thinking. I own a martial arts school. I have taken this path for my life because I truly believe I have a god given gift to help others (especially children) through martial arts.

I have not received the financial rewards that I deserve for my work but no one is to blame but myself. With your help, in January we enrolled more new students than any other month in our schools history. Thank you.

Even with that success I told my staff that an expansion project we had been considering will be put on hold. It is risky to expand when money is tight, I am not sure that our growth is sustainable, the summers are usually slow, blah blah blah.

Two days ago I changed my mind. We will be knocking out some walls and expanding on Monday. In the words of Dan Kennedy, don’t follow the crowd, run toward the fire. I have already started sending the bill to my herd.

To many my comments may sound cold or only financially driven but I know I change lives and improve the future of the children I work with. The more money I make, the more people I can serve. The future is as dark or as bright as you want it to be. I will focus on moving to toward the light.

Your article only confirmed my thoughts.

Andy

134. Well, right now I’m broke and sometimes I’m terrified as to what the future holds for me. At 65 its not a great place to be. Yet I know that this too will pass. I also know that every adversity creates its own opportunity. I have skills, knowledge and wisdom I can give to help others through turbluent times so rather than curling up and dying, which I see others of my age doing, I’m with the optimists on this one. I’m focussed on a new horizon, a new and prosperous future.

1. Thank you for sharing Ralph. I understand your struggle from personal experience. I have turned it around now but it took monumental effort as well as managing the now – but you sound like you have everything you need to make things happen. Bless you

1. Hi Debs, Thanks fior your support. I was very uncomfortable just sharing but then I found I felt better for having done so. Cheers

2. yo dude!! as my son says. you are reading my mind. you are a youngster to me (i’m 66) and in the same situation. I totally agree and intend to attract the right people also attracted to the positive possibilities that we are currently experiencing. I will not stop until I’m “6′ under” so to speak.

3. Hi Ralph
First of all I somehow flagged your comment instead of like it. Sorry about that.
I am exactly two months short of my 65th birthday. My whole life was a roller coaster ride and I needed to build up a lot of courage beside learning. It is never too late to start with something or get out of a less fortunate situation. You can do it! If I could move mountains you can do that too. Good Luck!

135. Hi Greg,

I appreciate your thoughts and have experienced this very topic INTENSELY in my own life. My dear husband is one of the end-of-the-world doom and gloom types, and I have been dragged into that space a few times myself because of his beliefs. I hate that space!!! It ruins people, and has severely damaged our marriage. We turned our world upside down last year because of his fears. I quit my job (the one that was supporting us, since he doesn’t work), we moved to a small town on an island with very little opportunity, I was absolutely terrified of the future and extremely depressed. I have DECIDED, however, that I will NOT live there, and am forging ahead with homeschooling my children – expecting they will have a future worth looking forward to living – working at my little part-time job, and starting to build an online business, which is where I expect to make the money I need to thrive. Your Trusted Authority program is what gave me hope that I can make this life work. I usually keep myself out of fearful obsessions and scarcity mentality now (you help me a lot in that effort) but it has been an unbelievably difficult road to get where I am today. I refuse to be dragged down any more. I am striving to live a life that I love, and that’s where I put my focus. I’ve made my choice.

136. Interesting question. I think the biggest threat to the ‘world’ is humans and the biggest threat to humanity is the size of our population. Until that’s addressed, climate, the economy and all the rest of it are mere distractions (how can they be anything else?). That said, there’s little I can do to solve that (on the scale required) and believe it will naturally self adjust at some point (probably drastically).

137. Completely agree with you Greg, I’m at a point where I’m finally stepping up us a leader and living everyday as if it were my last. Your video gives me more courage to do so. Thank you

138. Greg, I’ve completed your Authority Formula program (great!) and know you to be an upfront sincere person. I want to start my own business but don’t know what to do it in. I’d love to help with your charitable work in some way though! My professional background is in international development as a Program Manager – any chance you could use my expertise somewhere?

139. Thank you Greg. You are absolutely on the dot. After the failing of most governments, political systems, capitalism, communism and economical systems, the world need initiatives on personal level and entrepreneurship with courage. If each one of us takes a small initiative towards helping oneself and/or others, the world will be definitely a better place to live. Remember, we only have one earth to live on, so we better make the best out of it for the sake of humanity, mankind and the future of generations to come.

140. Hi Greg
Thanks for renewing my faith in humanity. I agree whole heartedly .i am now at my lowest financial situation and Iam still looking toward the future the only way is up.Keep up the great work your doing, you are definately making a difference.
Thank Heaps
Carol

141. Hi Greg,
I’m running my business for 3 years now. A lot of people around me said, it is completely stupid to start a business in these times, especially in my branch. But it is my deepest wish to be my own head and realize my ideas… and yes, sometimes it is hard, but I don’t give up and trust in a solution that comes around… ( please don’t laugh, it nearly always comes around :-)) One thing is really surprising me: the deeper the crisis, the more customers come along, who want my service. So maybe there’s something wrong with the mindset that the financial crisis is affecting your business???

142. Hi Greg!
I haven’t had a chance for a long time, probably for few months to read or listen you posts and videos, but thanks for keeping sending me all that valuable content.
Today I watched your video and would like to give you a round of applause and say thank you again!
Few things changed since last time, I’ve put my comment. You’ve asked what single challenge we have and 3 things that we need to do etc.
I had a trouble to get large size construction sites and didn’t know how to get them, or where to get people and train them. Only thing I new that I possess a few years experience
in the industry, have ability and desire to train people and what I believe you call quality of a leader at list I thought I had.
Answers are coming to those who ask questions and determined to find those answers.
Determination and persistence are the qualities that people, not only leaders have to have, so when finally opportunity had arise you must not hesitate to take it and turn things round if you need to.
I am impressed how things turned for me and your words of thanks for doing what I doing are matters, even you might not exactly now what I personally do, what my business is but the energy you release by saing that is huge!
There are more opportunities in unstable economical climate for entrepreneurs and I have no doubt about that!
Cheers!

Konstantin

143. Greg, Great subject matter. Both sides are very much correct. As you are familiar Mike Dillard and his like have put their finger on the one problem and that the one group seeks to control the world economically and those hundred or so people and there puppets seem willing to stop at nothing to break the common population.

the other group is also correct that in all the change in the world there will be vast opportunity.

I am not yet positioned to join forces with movements like “The Elevation Group” yet but my time will come. Meanwhile there is only one path I can choose, that is to move quickly toward creating my sucess

144. Thank you Greg!
I am from Scandinavia and have newsletters from several people “over there”. They inspires me, but yet I haven´t comeout of my comfort-zone. I think the oppurtunities are waiting for everyone. I try to serve other people but it seems that they get angry of me. It is because I have a lack of trust of my self.

145. Dear sir,

I am highly delighted to listen to this video. I must thank you for your effort to find solution to global problem, more so your decision to establish entrepreneur school in Africa.

I am a Nigerian and my country greatest problem is leadership crises. We don’t have leaders but looters. We lack creativity in Nigeria, we only share oil money, we don’t even produce tooth pick. What a bleak future for a country that is blessed with uncountable mineral resouces!

Despite my old age, I will attend your school in Uganda whenever it is established.

Thank you very much.
ELDER ALABA AKINSUMBO

146. Thanks for the video. it’s good to get some reinforcement about how things could and should be. I think here in the Uk there is a lot of focus on the negative aspects of what is currently happening, and we fail to recognise the positives. equally a lot of people are sceptical that we as specialists are really able to help them and make a difference. for me the biggest challenge is changing this mindset.

147. Which side of that spectrum am I choosing for myself and my business? Without hesitation, the positive side! I’m passionate about ‘the art of eco-friendly gardens’, and I never waver from a commitment to serving my clients as best I can, and to creating a better future for myself and family, and the planet. I overcame my fear of public speaking, through an overwhelming desire to share my insights and skills, with the widest possible audience.

Although I’m a slow, erratic learner (and sometimes beset with self-doubt), I keep on keeping on, regardless.

148. Amazing motivational speech! Its good talking and an eye opener for doing what it takes, I am currently working from being a “No care, people can rotten do what they like” To having insights of how the system is actually keeping people down instead of encouraging for greatness!! So I am in process of building up the “Become Your Own Entrepreneur for unemployed here in DK” I would love to show you the mind map for tools in this course. Even for getting inspirations and maybe adding, change some of the aspects. I am you on this path for greatness for our society. Realizing that everyone makes a difference.

The course has following for the receiver:
– yoga
– Intuitive Skills and questioning
– Understanding Ego – Mind
– Tools to build and communicate with other

On the other hand the course has following perspective on teaching.
The teachers teaching need to have accomplished the goals they wanna teach in, no
need for grades, papers saying they can do this or that. and they need ability to see the potential in others and have responsibility for giving them their faith to accomplish. If a teacher demands you to do and that she or he knows best, then how does this create
confidence for the student? Rather switch the tables and listen and learn together as the foundation for our next generations. You are what you teach. Teach patience, love and compassion for others and they will have these skills for life.

Example:
I change my whole lifestyle to my new understanding of the life on earth, I am now vegetarian, do my own exercise programs, and realize the importance of giving this knowledge forth. As to meet up the criteria s for the foundation of teaching.

My plan was about 3 months, but its going somewhat slower than that.
Exactly as you mentioned now, the but’s the what if’s the focus switching do I have the confidence to make it go forth. Is it too soon.

Hope, respect and love

Brian Jacobsen

149. Congratulations! You have a very powerful positive vision and you have the courage to express it publicly and even attempt to “sell” it to others. I wish you all success.

150. I agree with what you said in your video. Therre are opportunities but wwe need cash to get started. Foro myself my spirit is willing to take up the challenge for building a better world but I am suffering from moneylitis and age discrimination. If you can cure these two obstacles I will be willing to help.

151. Greg I took the courage today to stand in front of a group I am part of and share some difficult thoughts. I am so glad I did it has given me strength to go forward with added confidence in addressing issues. cheers Kerry

152. Greg,
I totally agree. It is easy to get caught up in the negativity of the world and to lose sight of your vision because of it. You provide tremendous insight and value to the world. Thank you for stepping up and helping us to think about things in a way we might not have thought of otherwise! It has been a big help in my life and helping me to realize where I need to step it up to….. “be the change that I want to see in the world”! Thanks a million!

153. The way forward is to get rid of the antiquated, erronous systems, of GOVERNMENTS who are lost in a world of their own. Being ignored for 58 years by these educated nutcases believe they are leaders of greate importance. I have tried to give my oppinions, sugestions and ideas to reduce road accidents for the public for the last 30 years. This denial by them has caused millions to perish, that has cost the public,–not millions– not billions– but TRILLIONS just to keep paying them to NEVER make a change for the better. You can see a little more about what can be achieved at and I have hundreds of stories about these so called leaders, who are in fact not even intelligent followers, ther are well past their SELL-BY-DATE. Malcolm.

154. Attitude could be the most important determining factor to success. Personality one might be born with, but adversity and challenges determine character, and determine how one faces and views an ever changing world. It has never stopped evolving, and we’re all still here 🙂 Just see the impact it has when you unexpectedly smile at someone; it is easy to see what impact joy, enthusiasm, passion, positiveness have.

I think we should arm ourselves with an attitude of wisdom, determination, grit, resilience, perseverance, creativity, originality, perception, ingenuity and industry, trust and faith. We are able, we will and we CAN, simply because we choose to do so. Leaders are such good examples that others WANT to follow and emulate them. Shine, and glow. Some have everything, and do nothing with it, others have nothing, and change the world. People matter, all people, much more than possessions. We will stand together and help each other.

So watch out world, we’re ready, bring it on!

BTW Greg, I live in Africa, and have ideas on how to change the schooling system here so that it will be much more relevant, topical, business orientated and exciting for kids. Perhaps your team could engage us locals when building and funding schools as well? We certainly don’t need the same old, same old from decades ago….the leaders of tomorrow need the skills, ideas and mindset for tomorrow, yes?

Thank you from all our children, for coming to help us and starting a ripple right here.

155. Greg: Thank you so much for that video. You are absolutely right. We need to step forward and bring our message to the world. If we wait for the perfect time….how will we recognize it? The present time is the perfect time. I love your straight forward, common sense approach. Thank you so much for your work in the world. You make a difference.

156. OPEN LETTER TO GREG HABSTRITT

Greg thanks for this video this morning of March 4th 2012. You touched on the REAL issue which is rare and you did so with respect and good taste. Both of the events of ‘glory’ and ‘ruination’ are true. It is neither ONE nor the OTHER.

Well before conception (which is now proven to be the time when our programmes start to be laid down) – in fact probably 5000 years before conception, men and women are deep immersed in the same programme which is “wealth=power and power is all”. Entire countries (in particular USA right now) down to small family units have been operating under the auspices of “Show me the money and I will do anything to go there for mine and my childrens’ survival” – “even go entirely against everything I know to be good”.

So now we have the same dichotomy every philosopher, saint or politician, banker or slave or king experiences at some stage – at such moments as he or she is aware. It is the same for us all.

The question is do we CREATE and give? or do we STEAL and tax to live off the creation of others? In other words “Are we a human being or a parasite?” (Parasites can be anything from a despot to a petty thief). Is the king the ultimate servant to his people? or does he steal from their toil and tax them to their limits? Is the servant a willing, happy person to support their master in their endeavour thereby getting a living for themselves? or is the servant resentful, envious and resistant to the endeavour?

The former is a natural man or woman and the latter is a parasite. Sure a parasite can also take the form of a tapeworm or a painbody (see Tolle) and a parasite can look like a noble person – even a holy man (check the history of popes etc!). However essentially either a living entity CREATES energy or SUCKS energy from those who create it in whatever form.

THAT is the universe we live in. Money is a symbol of energy created. Did you earn it or con it? How can we tell? What are our skills to discriminate and determine what is a creator and what is a parasite?

The ancients had wisdom and one clue handed down from ancient times – that I use to protect me (well I am still alive at 70+ and about to start up a business again that failed and I just, with the attitude of Bill Fiegar, kept alive during a protracted illness) – is “by your fruits you shall be known”.

So Greg you are building a school, starting a community, giving a group a kick start, acting selflessly for the benefit of the whole, That’s love and generousity and humanity – you are CREATING. You must be aware of Bunker Roy a great example of human behaviour who leaves the beaten path of schooling as we see it in the norm. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fd0kqf6a8YY. You will enjoy his TED talk if you have not already seen it.

You have also contributed to me with your video which is unselfish and struck me as a genuine exposition of the two worlds apart (the bright future CREATIVITY and the problem wrought results of PARASITISM at work) – that must be seen as ONE for the energy to be raised in a crisis. The crisis can be overcome by love, light, generousity and above all the imagination of the CREATIVES.

Carry on creating Greg and the best to you and yours.

Jackie Mackay

1. By watching this video I start to think that my perspective of seeing world is wrong. Thanks Jackie. Now I see that people have to overcome many things to create a water of modern life-electricty. Best Regards
Daniel

157. Hi Greg

Couldn’t agree more. I believe the world is going to hit the reset button relatively soon and I agree that opportunity will be abound as the vast majority of the folks will contract while the entrepreneurs expand. I intend on being an expander and helping a lot of folks who are going to need my help and leadership. Not sure how I will do it yet. Am in the process of figuring out what business will give me that platform. Your continued ideas on this will help immensely.

Joe – Charlotte

158. Hi Greg, I enjoyed listening to your positive comments. I was born in 1936 in South Australia and had a good life then, but living where I am now in a northern state and seeing the way many young people today are just drinking, taking drugs and driving fast cars and killing themselves, their friends, little babies and adults, breaks my heart when I see it on the TV. It wasn’t like this in the 1950’s when I was young. Something has to change to make growing up enjoyable again for all young people, with an attitude of working at whatever they have a talent for,or are willing to learn, as it was for me back then, and not wasting their lives. I wish I could think of a way to help these ‘off the rail’ young people, but it is a difficult problem..

However, getting back to the topics you mentioned, I am not at an age or in a position to be a business person or entepreneur now, as a 75 years old pensioner, but despite my increasing health problems, I still want to do something positive with the rest of my life. I have been and still am a pretty good artist, and I hope the people who purchased my art have had pleasure looking at it on their walls, but now I would really like to write a book. I have started making notes on the outline of my book and when I have written and published it, I hope it will give some enjoyment to a lot of people. If it is successful, I may write another. I do hope to write a book to teach the beautiful art of painting on silk, and also have classes by next year to teach it myself, if all goes well.

I also think it is important for younger generations, like my grandchildren, to read the history and about the hard working lifestyles of their ancestors. I already have a lot of family history, including photos, of my ancestors who came to Australia from England and Ireland. in the 1800’s. So I hope to leave books for my grandchildren to enjoy and pass on to a further generation.

We are all here for a reason and have been given talents to use, for a reason, but I wonder sometimes if the education system needs to be re-examined, (including the teaching methods ),so that more children enjoy it so much that they are inspired to be the best at what they are good at doing.. I remember having a boring geography teacher in grade 5 who caught me drawing (which I admit was wrong ), but her punishment was to embarress me in front of the whole class, by calling me up to her desk and slapping me hard across the face ! That did enormous psychological damage to me then and into the future.

I will do now, what I can in my own way, to help the people I know find ways to have a brighter future in their lives.

159. Hello, Greg. I’m from the Philippines so I’m no stranger to pessimism from the news. Almost everyone, including those from my own country, think we have no future and that the future is in working abroad. I have fought against that belief all my life and I do believe that being in a third world country presents as much opportunity as there are in first world countries. In fact there may be even more opportunities for us than in Canada or in the US (no offense meant).
I’m actually thinking of stepping out of my comfort zone this year as an employee earning a decent salary as a manager of semiconductor company. I’m looking at transforming my hobby in solar energy and LED lighting into a viable business. You see, we have the highest residential and arguably the one of the highest commercial electricity rates in the world. That is the challenge and the opportunity I’m hoping to face and conquer this year as an aspiring entrepreneur. I hope with this I can change some parts of the world, particularly ours in Asia, and be of some meaningful service to others. With that, I hope to do it with the courage that you speak of and that which you seem to have already.

160. Powerful video Creg, Thanks. You confirmed my decision an hour ago to play bigger, and honor my leadership potential. My new vision is to raise the consciousness of people in Trinidad and Tobago, so that all ships will rise with the rising tide. Keep it up. You are meeting an international need for improved leadership in business and otherwise.

161. I have found that the courage to be an entrepreneur has little to do with the economy and more to do with the depth of one’s own desire to run their own business and totally commit to that product or service they are desperate to deliver. Furthermore, when I went beyond talking and listening to being moved by great inspirations, like yourself, I act on that courage. Even beyond courage, I realize that I cannot do it alone. I have to align myself with others, who provide knowledge, information, and motivation. This helps me to find solutions when things are challenging, causes me to be accountable, and keeps me persistently working towards my goals, no matter how long it takes. I get this is what you do for others and for that I am grateful for the service you provide to the world.

162. Greg:

There has always been a lot of money to be made by preaching gloom and doom. The gold sellers, ammo dealers, bomb shelter builders, and freeze dried food vendors just love to rattle the public as a few military-industrial-types make out like bandits. You are so right that a grass-root entrepreneur movement is the best way to change this constant fear mindset. When we think of ways to quit letting the banks, foolish paid-for-politicos, and selfish corporations run us like lemmings over the financial cliff, then we can get on to a future that is full of promise. After all, history and the past is done, entrepreneurs invent the future…..
Joe Biron

163. Gregg, you are right-when we can filter out the crap the world throws at us,we can make better decisions. I am conversing with a lady in Greece with all their problems, and trying to help someone who is not anywhere on the same book of life is fruitless. It may seem selfish, but we take care of ourselves First, and by doing so can we help others,Thanks

164. For my part, I will introduce low cost rapid construction technologies for use in developing nations starting with the Dominican Republic this summer.

165. For my part, I will introduce low cost rapid construction technologies for use in developing nations starting with the Dominican Republic this summer.

166. Thanks for these thoughts you have shared and the focus on the value of courage. I agree that taking a stand to see this chaotic world as a place for opportunity and inspiration for new kinds of problem solving is the best antidote for all the fear and doom that comes out via the major media forces in our world. As a mother of a teenager, I especially see how critical it is to give our youth the role models of acting on integrity with courage —and to believe in their capacities and spirits to help change our world.
Thank you for speaking out.

167. Thank you for your inspiration! As the bible says ” without a vision, the people perish”
How desperately we need to find our purpose for being here.
I am an entrepreneur at heart and to a certain degree in practice. I have been a part of our local farmer’s market for 14 years. It is such a wonderful “connection” with people and it does provide the needy elements of life.
However, I find myself limited to the extent that I can do this and actually make a living from it. I do have bigger dreams but the frustration comes in by not having the funds to actually do them. I seem to be stuck in a rut because of it, although I have not lost hope.

168. True,
but that is the reason why empires driven into cold or hot wars, or colonization.
The empire has no choice, but create the next conflicts prepared by brain wash,
to serve mostly selfish political and economic interests beside covering burning issues.
Philanthropy is far cry from the aims of the empire. Philanthropy is not the solution, but a popular form of show off, after the cash was made on who knows what manner.
The real question is:
Join or oppose the force, e.g. be an opportunist or a humanist.
True, one’s personal wealth may depend on that answer…

169. Hi Gregg,
I lost my job last summer; I have since established a business entity and I have begun purchasing real estate for the cash flow. This is certainly not the best time in my working career to be spending money on something I have never done before, or paying for education such as yours. I do understand the importance of the education and also stepping outside of my comfort zone to do what I feel is necessary for my future and the future of those around me.
Thank you for all that you do and relish in your life changing trip to Africa

170. Bravo Greg, I don’t think you were ranting, actually you were right on point…
This message may have been your most important..I say that because yes many of us are searching, wanting, and resisting things, but are we living with purpose, giving unconditionally, and being EnCouraged…I do agree their is No better time than Now..we are Truly One_

171. I have often found myself swinging like a pendulum between the two spectrums of abundance-thinking and scarcity-thinking. One side of me sees great potential for Growth through serving others with my own unique skillsets and insights; but the other side of me, the one that is currently experiencing (and has repeatedly experienced) numerous personal losses and repeated rejection, has difficulty seeing my way out of the darkness.

However, I’m finding a certain humility in rejection as I pursue my quest to become the Trusted Authority. So, in the meantime, all I can do is keep trying, and hope that my unique approach in helping to alleviate other people’s wants/needs/pains/frustrations, will be discovered some day, and add value to the world.

172. Greg,
I always appreciate and enjoy your thought provoking, to say the least, comments.
I read most of what has been written as replies and just want to say, that I was encouraged by a teacher to live, not in an ‘either/or world’ but rather a ‘both/and world’ which is a simplified description of how I hear you coming across.

So, I choose to be ‘aware’ of the negative and and then to act on and be part of the positive, to continue to follow such leadership as yours and enjoy all you offer in the future, to use what I know to defuse the negativity I may hold in my very cells based on my perceptions of events in my life, and to use whatever my gifts are to uplift and encourage others to do the same.

I was not going to post anything, but then just watched two videos that made me decide to share. One was on YouTube with the Dalai Lama answering an 11 year old boy’s questions. He used the phrase… “inner disarmament” and suggested to him that this be the century of dialogue, where people do not live in indifference but rather be fully involved. YOU exemplify that! He even suggested that when people of his age (11) play fight that they remember to let those feelings go and not keep them inside.

What seems to be addressed by many who have responded to you are their frustrations with themselves not being where they would like to be, doing what they know is meaningful and important. I can include myself among them and continue to work on it.
For me, at almost 63, I see opportunity ahead and am considering how to move forward more precisely integrating all I have learned.

I do believe we need to be more heart centered and not fear based.

I will leave it at that and share a video about the togetherness, the one ‘worldness’ if you will that touched my heartstrings and made me share from my heart to yours today.

Thanks Greg
Here’s the link if you care to watch it.

173. Hi Greg, Wow!
I too have had the opportunity to ‘hear’ from the best on exaclty what you are talking about- we are doomed by our actions prepare for the worst- we are saved by our actions prepare for the best. How can the same actions have ultimately different end results? Wall St, Occupy movement, Climate change, and on and on.
The challenges that we see around us each and every day can make us crazy but, dependent upon how you see the effect’ will determine how and what you do.
I know when I tune in to the station of ‘me’ my gut tells me to prepare for the worst but to expect the best and that life really is GOOD.
I live in CA so we prepare for the earth quake but we go on living. Personally I need to up my living and be more /do more of what my entrepreneurial spirit calls me to do . I am my own worst roadblock to my success – a success that can only be met by helping others and quite literally saving lives.
Thankyou so much for this added insight-sorry for the ’round about’ comment!

174. The world is certainly going through many changes and it appears to be chaotic. However, from chaos though comes order, a universal law and mathematical fact. Therefore to be fearful is a waste of energy, rather we need to be aware of the destructive elements (a very complex issue since politicians play a role in solving world wide problems) and as you said, be observant and seek out opportunities that makes this world better. Indeed, to capitalize on these opportunity is to be of service to mankind and to lift the burden of FEAR. How can we do this? By being involved to find a resolve. If that is going to Africa and build a school or be active as I am on a local level and in my community, the fact is, the message of HOPE and CONFIDENCE needs to be shared. As an entrepreneur I am involved with many community groups and am priviliged to be able to do that. My message: that each individual is the captain of their own ship and master of their own fate and when we are willing to listen to one another and with help and resources you and I provide, we will have a positive impact in this world. Thank you Greg for being a leader and allow us to have this conversation.

175. I am of the belief that there is a shift in the energies of people to a higher (better) place of existence. Perhaps that is because those are the people I choose to “hang” with. I feel called to help others reach these new levels of existence. I will continue to forge ahead and begin an entrepreneurial path that benefits me and many others, as well.
Greg, I look forward to future videos from you!

176. Chear up,the world will contiue to turn around, every crisis is also a new change. We heard about worst crisis in he past which restored. The hystoty go on in circulatory.”The darkest hour is that before dawn” Even when things seem at their very worst, they may shortly improve.

177. Hi Greg. Thank you for the encouragement as an entrepreneur. This tax season will be my 3rd year in business, so I am still in my infancy. Like you said, I know tax consulting, but oh ya strugle with marketing. After $9,000.00 sent over the past 2 years, & no R.O.I. I wounder your even bother.
I do agree the future is where the opportunities are. New ways of doing things & thinking.

178. Sri Guru Greg ( just kidding!!),
But sincerely,I feel so grateful to be your student. One of the five great regrets people have on their death beds is that they didn’t have the courage to do what they knew should have been done. Thanks to your inspiration and guidance, none of us will suffer that fate.
You know how much I honor and appreciate you and the difference you have made in my professional and personal life. It is a true joy to be on this journey with such a wise, loving and powerful soul. I thank you. Our world family thanks you.
Love,

179. Hi Greg. Very good video! I try very hard to be a positive person and influence others to do the same. The problem is I work in a manufacturing setting as a welder and the people there are very negative, even my supervisor complains!
Keep the vidoes coming and it will help more people than you will ever know! Thanks, James

180. Thank you Greg. My world just got a lot better having listened to you. For me it is an awakening that’s never going to go back to sleep. Please create more of these videos. Sincere Regards.

181. Why go to Africa to build a school when you can help the same society that helped you?
Go to Michigan and help the kids and devastation there!

1. Did you even watch the video?

And in case you don’t know it even though I also mentioned it in the video, I’m in Canada. I don’t owe Michigan anything any more than Africa.

Wake up and pay attention. This is the kind of mindless criticism and judgement that has gotten the US into the trouble it’s unfortunately in.

182. Save your matches there is already a fire here – I’d prefer some petrol (Gas) to throw on it instead.
Loved your video – you are basically saying what people are seeing which is good as many entreprenuers are isolated.
I’d like to coin the phrase now ‘ Cutlure Movers’ … I’ve been playing with words alot lately and loved the word cultureprenuer (but the domain is long gone – congrats whoever got that!) as I think our game is shifting into the stratoshere thanks to web / smartphone / gen Y expectation / communications ….
I get the dig a hole and buy a gun scenario but I also think it’s fear driven is as much as if you study history and you truly feel history and look at today you either get that it’s expanding or contacting …. digging a hole is contracting and the reasons to step up are expanding. What a profound experience it will be either way.
I think my position is not uncommon … the future mindset tram seems to be already 2 blocks down the street and I missed it financially … that tram seems to be the onlt one on bad days … on good days you find a timetable and work out how to get on the next.
I think keep your eye on both games but don’t fall into contacting ….. sell superfoods and exercise programs based off confined spaces to people digging holes and do it from Thailand.

Just passing – I was in a room last week of very rich and motivated people of which I had literally $8.50 in my pocket ($3.50 to get home on the train) by the end of 2 days I knew that with about $75k and 2 years of total dedication I’d be literally talking world cahnge with wrold leaders …. it’s amazing how close $75k can be when you see the light.

I think the biggest lesson for me is protecting your headspace from the hole diggers ….

183. Hi Gregg,

Thank you for sharing your feelings with us.

If the world is an ugly place and getting worse, then I am very optimistic, because when that happens, better things are near to come. 🙂 If world economy collapses, that would be the clearer sign for us that this system is coming to an end, and we all should be prepared to face this challenge. I really believe the system has brought incredible things for mankind, what has failed, is the porpuse for which they have used these amazing things. This is the greatest opportunity for us as human race to change course, doing what I firmly believe: to use the same means but whith a different porpuse. Here I want to share my credo with you: do business to improve life on the planet and preserve in good condition our spaceship Earth.

Warmest regards.

184. Hello Greg, I love the way you think as I also believe when we help those less well off than ourselves we benifit too. . Every country should have a system whereby in times of need everyone rallies round and supports each other to find the best solution. A country can only be judged on how they care for the weak and vulnerable in their society.

Having a government that is made up of people who are the best in their field to manage the overall running of the country with continuous learning to ensure they are giving and getting the most relevant information. Basic criteria required for anyone running for a position in government should cover the basic fundamentals of a decent human being. Honesty, integrity, High morals, empathy, strong and fair.

It is everyone’s business to work for the good of their country/World and be prepared to help and encourage others that find themselves in difficulties.

With that all said is it not possible to get everyone in the world to become a philanthropist and initially give a small amount ie

1dollar a week

There are people in every country who would give more according to their means if the mechanism to get a project like this up and running was made available to them. Most people aspire to making a difference but it will take someone maybe you to get it started. Giving freely into a fund to ease the burden of their fellow country men could be the way forward. This is what The Loaves and Fishes was all about ie sharing

I have been in Africa twice working on two different projects and plan to go in 2013. You will find that Africa will change you forever.

Regards

Bridie Donaghy

185. I am really moved by this video presentation of yours. you’ve given me the exact words I’ve been wanting to here. I am looking forward in working with you one day but in the meantime, keep the spirit moving. God bless you.

186. Greg… I found your video to be quite inspiring. So fresh to here just a pep talk without the usual advertising. Thanks
I believe that both sides that you’re speaking of are truly present in our world… and probably always have been in some form or another. But this is OUR time… and the polarization you mention leaves us feeling very vulnerable. This decade seems to be completely without a safety net… and that can feel paralyzing.
But I believe also that you are correct in saying that we have to move forward with courage all the same. I have learned that without movement all things become rigid… and this can lead to inertia in a very short time.
I have saved months of your material hoping to get to it at some point… and this talk has inspired me to make that a priority now. maggie

187. Hi Greg. I’m from Brasil, and I am a English teacher here. I know that my English is not so good, but I can understand what you are talking about, and I think that I can use your advice.
I became a teacher because here in Brasil there is a huge problem with the English schools because they really don’t teach the students, because their methods are failures, and they really don’t worry about that, so I decided to create a new English course here and I’m teaching my students whith videos like this, because they are free and they have so many things to learn and you are a native speaker, so that is great.
Your video will help me help so many students. I decided right now that I need to go get more students, and I need to help change the world too.
Thank you. I will do that tomorow morning. I’ll go to the local schools and I will get more students for my course, I promise you, your video will change so many ways to think here in Brazil. Thank you, thank you Greg. God bless you!

188. Thanks for validating the reason I chose to take the leap! I think Everyone should do what they want for a living and the world would be a happier place. I think the shift is getting better 😉

189. Greg, once again, your honesty, integrity and class comes shining through. I am on board 100%. I have a Karoush, his name is Mark. We are building up the safety business I created several years ago and have committed with the backing of our team to expand into other arenas. We are both as giddy as schoolgirls and the more we commit the more opportunities keep showing up.
Thank you for sharing your wisdom and your authenticity with us and I very much look forward to seeing you both soon….though I’m not sure where. lol
All the best, Buddy.

190. You are a man who is a visionary and had the opportunity to make a difference. I liked hearing your comments because that is the way it is … the world needs to get out of its drunken stupor and brainstorm to shape our future in a positive direction.

191. Are there groups who visit the USA to set up schools? Or is it shamefully crystal clear and obvious that such a wealthy country is pathetically incapable of even sorting out its own poverty. I guess life is always full of such chronic paradoxes…
Space travel first community needs on earth later…is this for real!
Anyway, shouldn’t it be acceptable that 5% of profit form ALL companies automatically goes to community projects? Community consciousness is surely part and parcel of all outlooks, and especially in this ‘new’ World where we like to promote ‘green’, conservation and preservation, focusing on limited impact on the environment.
I heard that the US uses up some 25% of the world resources that are eaten up annually on our planet. Please don’t tell me that the USA, which makes up only 4.5% of the global population uses up 25% of all used resources! You have to be kidding.
Hey USA entrepreneurs please get real and find ways of limiting this appalling state of affairs. Obesity is a stunning record and reflection of the overall general and broadcast image that comes over of the USA on the World stage. Medical resources are massively eaten up to combat this somewhat psychological state of a nation in crisis at many levels. Yes please give us some Entrepreneur who can create much more balance. Profit is only one part of Leadership, but the rest of the jigsaw is as important and must take into account the Whole Globe. A school in Uganda is Magic, and will nurture empirical consciousness… please apply it in America which sometimes seems withered and paltry and immersed in the Poverty of Wealth.

192. I have heard negative alot especially about direction of the economy,an our leaders, yet its isnt nothing short of folly to go about espousing darkness onto others so I try to abstain.I have skills an talents many of which I was never aware for most of my life.I would love to find some business that could benefit others,on a personal level, however it seems everybody is hellbent as ever but not sure on what level,it sure isnt polyanism of the 80’s.I am just unsure what it is I want to do,besides run my trucking business an small apt bldng, any kind of business that creates residual income better without all the enviromental downsides you get with buying a Job like trucking..You get the picture I think, changing oneself is better than trying to change others.

193. Wow…What a terrific topic. In this crazy world we are living in I am sorry to admit that I have been infected by the negativity around me. I hear amazing stories and read amazing comments and am continuously conflicted myself. I do think that there are great opportunities created when there is great chaos, BUT I myself do not know how to take advantage of it. I have so many ideas that come to me every week, but putting them into action is the problem! And I know it’sbecause of the fear inside me. I want to take the next step. I know I have it inside me to be a great leader! I know I want to do it and I want to make a difference in this world! I know there are so many people I can help and many of them need it so badly. Thing is I’ve always felt fulfillment when I help others over myself….I don’t know why, it’s just how I’m built. But I also believe what you say about good things coming to you out of your desire and willingness to do for others. I greatly appreaite this challenge to make a choice. You’re right I need to decide which path to take….but I know I’ve made my choice, I just don’t know how to move forward. Please continue your efforts to provide great content and training to those of us who need the tools to be great. I love your site and your positivity. It’s what keeps me going!

194. That was inspiring. We do need to step up. it’s entrepreneurs who can lead the way in unstable times, as they know how to live with chaos and uncertainty, and create from it better ways of doing things and being in the world. Also good is your reminder that we are all connected, so don’t hold back in going where your vision leads and planting seeds there. the fruit which grows there may feed the world!

195. Hurrah for going to Africa!! A wonderful gift of your time -my daughter did that a couple of years ago and it changed her life and her dream is to go back again – I would love to do it with a group of people I know – what a gift to spend time with people you care about, surrounded by people you enjoy, giving such a gift.

196. Yes, I think the world is hungry for leadership and by that I mean people being their own leaders first. That may mean entrepreneurship and it might not. For many, entrepreneurship is absolutely a way to accomplish that. I think the process of creating a business is transformational. I also think pursuing other forms of leadership also can be transformational. I had the thought last week after a little health scare — that I need to step up now and stop playing the victim and follower. I see myself quickly becoming more aware of my choices in every moment.

197. Thank you Greg, for your message. Its a timely message to me. Iam always looking forward to be an Enterpreneur, and I strongly building myself to become one. One word that sank into my mind when I was listenning to your message is Courage. Ineed more of courage to do this. Another statement that inspire me is that the more people you help the more successful you are. I want to help more people around me through my business..I also believe that in every bad situatuation there is a seed of abundance inside it.I really appreciate and will wish you will encourage me to create the brightness of my future. My aim is to build a Marine Transport business, worldwide, helping the Africa community ,where there is poverty in the midst of plenty.Thank you for extending your practical leadership quality to Afirca. A good leader will always like to mentor others, and to teach them ways of creating the Brightness of their future. Sabastine E.Okpara.Managing Director/CEO:Jamasco Marine&Offshore Services Limited.London.

198. Thank Greg!

From my perspective, we are at the intersection of two paradigms – one which we have been in for many years in the past and one that we will be in for many years to come.

People who identify strongly with the old paradigm are experiencing the “death” of their world (beliefs/paradigm). And, they are right. Many things are dying right now. It can be very scary, especially for those who don’t (yet) recognize or identify with the new paradigm.

People who identify strongly with the new paradigm are experiencing an exciting “birth” of new possibilities. And, they are right too. Many new opportunities are being born. Life on Earth is heading in a fantastic new direction! But, we’re not quite there yet! We’re still in the intersection.

To be successful right now, I believe we need to be conscious of both paradigms. Embracing either paradigm without recognizing the other is out of balance.

Business requires communication – and people can rarely hear communication which invalidates their paradigm. If we’re thoughtful, however, we can deliver a message which is validating and inspiring for people in both paradigms.

1. This is a note from some of us. We who shield our eyes from blinding light of our relentless rising consciousness, and stare down at the dying remains of our past reality. Some people try to tell us, “Come this way and you will surely find your dreams in our brave new world. Others plead, “Stay here, you know us. We can work it out”. We listen and we stand. We watch and we wait. We know there is something more, but we’ve been fooled before.

2. You have a different perspective to present her, Jeffrey Allen – one I have not considered before. Personally, I have taken the end-of-the-world perspective as spoken of above by Wellness Wahine, which fills me with terror. But then I think of the great depression in the Dirty Thirties, and they might have seen the end of the world, too. I like Mubarak’s words too, where he says we have to take our eyes off ourselves in the future, instead focusing on what we can do for others in the immediate future. This will help us to take our places in the new paradigm; this will create our places in the new paradigm. Thank you for your in-put.

1. Thanks for your comment. The seeming chaos caused by big change can be pretty scary, but I truly feel the world is moving in a good direction rather than to a destructive end.
The trick to feeling good in times like this is to figure out how to surf the big waves of change rather than drowning in them. Remember that panicking people are far more likely to drown.
I have a short video about what I see happening in 2012. Check it out at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kGKnmcSSgGY

199. Good video, Greg. Me? I’m looking forward to a brighter future that I take responsibility for and I am creating. Keep spreading the message. You really are helping others be their best.

200. Thank you for expressing your thoughts. I am really impressed with your goal of serving others and wish you all the best for your project in Africa.

Alan

201. Thank you so much. I feel that you directly spoke to me (as well as others:) in this message and that I really needed it. I feel led to call others into action and it is me that is needing to take the first step. Thank you for reminding me. I believe that the world is getting worse BUT I FIRMLY BELIEVE that if everyone stood up and made the choice to act that we would, as you say, literally see a different world overnight. I will never underestimate the value that each human being has on this planet. Our potential for good and power (power to act) is more than we know or can understand. I firmly believe this with all my heart. I take the challenge to make the first step and to walk in to the leadership I have been designed for.

Your message was clear, concise, and moving. Thank you.

202. Thank you for your encouragement! I have a discussion with others almost daily about this very topic. I feel alone in telling people about the abundance and opportunity available. Even though I am met with “woe is me” attitudes and tough stories of lack, I cannot be silent. I know we can start with thinking differently, so we will act differently, which will lead to opportunity and success so we can impact yet others.

I send blessings to you for the trip you are about to take. It is a good thing you are doing and it is wonderful that your father is able to go with you.

203. Greg,
I disagree with a statement you make towards the end of your video mesage: you ARE selling something-enlightenment! It is refreshing to find someone else spreading a new idea of what is possible through the influence we have on others. We choose every day whether we are going to influence others with messages of what can’t happen, what’s wrong, what to be afraid of OR to inspire others through our words, thoughts and actions to see the world as round, to imagine flight, to believe in lightbulbs before there is electricity.

Our greatest challenge lies not beyond our fear, but within our fear. We must take control of how we choose to think about the world and follow in the footsteps of those who lead us through adversity and fear to the other side, known as what could be.

The strongest point you make for me is that we can and must learn or choose to see ourselves as part of the greater US and not separate from other countries, people, etc. United we stand, divided we fall!

204. I believe neither hope nor fear are strategies. Each of us can make the decision to break out of the gloom and doom. We can let fear paralyze us or we can use it to step up and make a difference. By being determined, relentless and challenging ourselves we can become the leader this kind of economy needs. I believe the time is now and I am working on ME first so I can add value to others later! The world has enough people acting small;I plan on making a difference one person at a time- starting with me. Thanks for this thought invoking video Greg.

205. Keep up the work in erasing the egos plan…….we are not that!!
Congratulations for youre inspiratio….

206. Totally love your attitude, outlook, and program. Thanks to the added information from TAF my office has shown double digit growth for the past two years in a row! I’m refusing to participate in the down economy!

Am bummed that I was excited about the newest GKIC offering and signed up this morning before getting your email re: bonuses as you always give amazing value and training.

1. Whoa! Double digit growth – congrats! But don’t you know it’s a recession and everyone’s having trouble!? 🙂 Great work Celia, thanks for sharing your results.

207. Thanks for sharing your insight and perspective. I am grateful in my journey that there are individuals like yourself who choose to share your wisdom so others can grow! You have inspired through your teachings to pursue my passion with courage & abundance! Thank you!

208. I really enjoyed your thoughts Greg. I think you hit the nail on the head. As for myself, I’m looking to create better schools and teaching paradigms starting with a company I call U-FUL, or The University For Useful Learning. The steps I’m making to start this are small, but your video has made me think maybe I should step larger and bolder sooner than I thought to really step into this opportunity. Thanks for that.

209. I am trying very hard to break through and come into the world of true entrepreneurial success. Unfortunately, I live with someone who lives and breathes how awful our government is and how we don’t stand a chance. You see he lost his business and the final end of it had to do with government not willing to work with him so he is very resentful and negative. He refuses to get a job because he thinks they’re just going to take his money. So, I have to bear the entire load. Anyway, I believe that this will be the greatest transition in history regardless of what happens. I have a lot of fear but, I also have a lot of hope and desire to make my move. I study the different ways available everyday and have bought into a couple. It’s time consuming and not easy but, I can’t sit and wait for the ball to drop on me. I refuse to not do anything. I am going to have the life I deserve and then I’m going to teach my family to do the same. So, I am on the opportunity side and want to make it happen and be one of the wave riders in this economic transition.
Thank you for your support and motivation and positive leadership.
Cindy

210. Dear Greg,

Martin Luther (1483-1545) would us repeat (and may be invite us) to join him and plant an apple tree in our garden …

Warm regards
Ivana

211. Thanks for your encouragement! Havimg been in business since 1970 (brick & morter) I have the same belief you do. This is a great time to start over! Having been through several recessions I can say this is a depression. Credit shifted to using real estate equity instead of business loans, and I was one of those who swallowed that bank lie! I have to say that people with money even in our small town are running around looking for opportunities to “get rich” right now. I sense that we are coming out of this. Now is a great time to think outside the box and get going, and to fonance yourself you will have to bootstrap it and gather up as much cash as you can. There really is a lot of money out there. You will have to run it on three levels in the future, the internet, social internet, and on the ground. Will be watching you closely, and thanks again!

212. Hey Greg,

I think you’re spot on with entrepreneurism (is that a word?). We all need to step up and make our own economy, thereby helping the world economy. And it is so important to give back. Keep the videos coming!

213. Hi Greg – Thx for inviting the dialogue. I’m in the midst of a major transition. I opted in to the voluntary retirement program at my employer, a major Fortune 500 leader, where I’d worked for 12.5 yrs. I jumped at the opportunity to finally focus on my dream of becoming an entrepreneur, trainer, and consultant in my area of expertise which is helping organizations develop a culture where passion and engagement are integral, deeply felt experiences every day. I recently launched my website and am now busy generating ezine articles, blogs, video, and other content for the website and linking to social media to build a prospect list. I’m also getting my name out there as a speaker on passion at work, employee engagement, healthy workplace, etc. My challenge is in generating positive cash flow before my severance runs out. I’m starting to feel a bit of anxiety creeping in as several of my early plans to generate income through consulting and investments have not panned out. I’m practicing observing my thoughts and being mindful about where I put my attention (what we put our attention on grows stronger in our life). As time goes on and my bank account balance declines, mastering my inner voice is getting harder. Thx for the encouraging words. I’m trusting the process and using my resources, including The Trusted Authority Formula, being an active contributor to a supportive community, practicing gratitude, etc. I choose to be play big and make the most of the opportunity in the current macro environment. Managing the anxiety continues to be a challenge. Lisa

214. Hi Greg, I guess you would say I’m an entreprenuer – work a regular full time job but have worked Direct Sales for 35 years along side it. I am definitely the half-full type of girl and totally love people and love to help people. I have to admit sometimes negativity and negative people set me back a bil. I’ve recently been feeling that in my current direct sales business. I so believe you get what you put into everything — work, life and people. I need being around people and really would love to excel in my direct sales career and build a large successful business by helping other consultants get started and build their business as well. I don’t believe the whole negative Government plan and do have a 36 year old son that is so into that — I just always tell my children that if you keep having negative thoughts and beliefs that’s what will come into your life. I believe what you put out into the world by being good to people comes back ten fold! Thank you for sharing you time and information with us. 🙂

215. I agree to some extent, but I have to realistic, I am not in a position to be overly idealistic – it’s easier said than done. It’s one thing for some one who is visibly very wealthy to do these kind of admirable gestures – good luck to them, I respect them for it, but for most of us, we just want to earn an honest living at something we enjoy. I have spent most of the time unemployed since the economic crisis began in 2008, and clearly we are living through exremely turbulent times, but I think we will see the end of the old world order in the coming years, if what I read via David Wilcock and Benjamin Fulford is anything to go by.

I’m glad this blog exists.

216. Yes, this is the time to step up to the plate……..I have a plague that I’ve carried with me for over 30 years. It says, ‘YOU CAN GET EVERYTHING IN LIFE YOU WANT, IF YOU WILL JUST HELP ENOUGH OTHER PEOPLE GET WHAT THEY WANT’ (Zig Ziglar quote)………the future IS bright……I’ve attended a lot of motivational and communication talks back in the 1980’s when leaving in Calgary (Achievers Canada -Les Hewitt)….great ‘doers’ sharing their vision and knowledge.I’ve absorbed and applied the ideas and information for over 25 years but it’s time to be a ‘doer for humanity’ now..I have so much to share what’s ‘inside ‘ of me with the world……I’m living the good life and I want others to live the good life to. We ALL deserve to…………courage to step out side of the comfort zone and help the world, YES!!……like you say Greg, ‘the world needs leaders’…..I’m starting NOW!!

217. Hi Greg, I love how big you are playing and how far you have come from your real estate niche when I saw you in Calgary and in Dominican Republic. I agree that the world is becoming very polarized. Both extremes that you describe are true. Each individual creates their own reality. For some the future will be incredibly scary while for others it will be a time of extreme joy. I believe the world is moving away from the controlling, fear-based structure that has been dominating it into a world and an economy based on cooperation and loving relationships. Your discussion about the concept of oneness is exactly right. There is a huge movement of people who are learning how to bring the concept of oneness into their lives and are creating structures like businesses and communities that are aiding this process. You are certainly stepping up big and helping people accomplish that. After spending the last three years in India and Thailand coaching tennis, I have just moved to Boulder, Colorado. I am working with a group that is helping people connect to their true purpose in the universal plan. We are working together to bring love and oneness to the world in many ways. Am still coaching, but working with several other coaches to create a new paradigm of coaching, since sport is such a fertile field for development of values if coaches and parents can move beyond the win-at-all costs mentality. We will soon start sharing these concepts under the banner of Quantum Coaching. Will look forward to using many of your tools as we develop. Thanks for continuing to provide a great example to all of us of having the courage to step outside of your comfort zone and play big for the benefit of the world. You have been a continual inspiration to me.

218. I am frightened right now, and in a place of contraction. For most of my life, I’ve been a positive, optimistic entrepreneur. I’ve had several business ventures, most successful, and have always seized opportunities, been fast and flexible, and had a “never say die” attitude. Something has changed, and I’m not sure what. I don’t like being in this place of doubt and fear.

I’m struggling to get through it. It seems everything is crashing down at once. I’ve been in this state for over a year now, and am not seeing my way out. This is my first experience of being frozen with fear, and not taking constant and persistent action.

I have taken small steps, but when I hit a wall — even a little one — I stop and freeze again. This is so unlike how I’ve been all of my life, and I don’t get it.

219. Greg i think you are hitting right on the nerve, I have been ckecking in on your advice for some time and i respect your honesty and insight.
You talked before about fear and ifound it insightfull. perhaps you might return to the topic again as its easier to deal with it when we better understant why it grips us so.

Recently one of your affiliates spoke of making financial investments for the future of his children and i thought how fearful is that, do we not believe enough to feel confident in the tools and insights we are already giving them.

220. I think it’s possible the US is facing economic collapse, and may bring the world down with it. HOWEVER, I’m sure there will be some people who come out on top of it, no matter what — think, for example, about the millionaires made in the US during the Great Depression of the 30s when unemployment was 45% and soup lines were around the block everywhere.

221. Well thanks for the video and asking for my opinion which is mixed. Lately I have really been exploring and researching many different aspects from personal growth to the ridiculous monetary system we find ourselves in to new forms of energy.

I have discovered that it seems we (humanity that is) are on the verge of a major change which my gut tells me I have been waiting for my entire life. There are many problems in the world that are coming to a head now and yes they seem insurmountable but this may be the necessity for the major growth and/or change that I believe must come. I feel that the entire world’s social, economic system needs to be changed outright and think this is surely coming. The corruptions are deep and perverse. The hope is that the change will be a transformation to a better world of course but it seems there are forces with a different agenda as well.

I do agree that opportunity always is greater in turmoil but is this not a distasteful way of looking at things (in essence profiting by the woes of others)? I find many questions these days and the answers are not clear. As far as my direction as an entrepreneur I have the inclination but am stagnating not sure of my path – directionless.

222. I think that there is great opportunity in the world but greed, selfishness and impatience is driving us into self destruction.

223. In my opinion the brightest times will come to those, who not fear. The others will have the worsest time ever! Your wideo reminded me some good story, which no seems like the parralel to crisis in the world. So listen out: (sorry for some language mistakes;)

Once in China there lived a huge dragon, which wandered from one village to another and killed everything that stopped in his way: cattle, dogs, chickens, even children. Villagers were very frightened so they finally asked for one wizard with belief that he could help. The Wizard said:
– I can not kill the dragon by myself, I am too scared of him. But I will find you the man who will do it.
So after that he changed into the dragon and went to one place – on the bridge. People who didnt know that it was a wizard who had transformed into the dragon were full of fear and stayed out of him. One day young wanderer approached to him, looked calmly at the dragon and finally went further.
Wizard seeing that changed back into his human body, run to young boy and said:
– Stop young man. I have been waiting many weeks for you!

Poor and scared people will see only a disaster (a dragon), but a few who are aware (some will say brave) will see just a difference (an animal).

Thanks for video!

224. Is their opportunity or are we crippled by the potential of the end of the world? Well… I guess both. I teach martial arts. The more that people think the world is getting worse the more opportunity it creates for my self-defense programs.

One of the biggest things we teach are life-success skills – the ability to overcome challenges and make something good out of perceived negative.

I do think we are going to face a new America. I do think the moral fabric of America is unraveling.

However, Super Heroes don’t become heroes by doing nothing, and they are not super for not standing up. So even though the future of the world looks grey on the horizon all we need is for ordinary people to step up and be Super Heroes.

I’m in.

225. Thanks for your inspiring point of view Greg. In Australia there is not so much talk (yet) about ‘how bad things are’, and similarly perhaps we are slowe here to see the opportunities – or even see for need for finding them! – than those in the world who are suffering worse economic conditions.
But there is certainly a need for us all NOW to be inspired to helping others and therefore making this world a better place.
I have been hovering in a place of inaction – now it’s time to get off my butt and move into inspired action – thanks Greg.

226. Dear Greg
as always you hit the nail on the head and I am totally with your perception of the world. I am training to be a law of attraction life coach with Christy Whitman and currently am doing sample coaching sessions with some wonderful testimonials this being one of them
“After having a session with Ann, I was fascinated how quickly she could identify the very core of my issue and show me a different perspective, which had a healing effect upon me. Ann is a for me a compassionate and powerful life coach and I personally believe that her mission is to help us to connect with the Truth within, so that we can make necessary changes and move on. I am so grateful to have an opportunity to meet her and work with her.” Ivana
I love to help others to see the truth within

227. Hi Greg

I honestly do not understand why everyone is in such a state of gloom and doom about the world today. The world is the world. This is hardly the worst of times. Look back over the history of the last hundred years alone. You probably do not remember people digging bomb shelters in their back yards and stocking them, but I do. My parents got through the Great Depression of the 1930s with 3 small children as blue collar workers. A little courage and a little creativity will get us past the present “crisis”.

I enjoyed your rant.

Margaret

228. Dear Greg,
I tried to keep this brief but you asked quite a few questions.

My background is simple, just turned 60 a few days ago. I was laid off 9/2010 with little to no hope of rehire. Finances are currently tight but that’s OK, I have played this game many times. I was self employed for right at 30 Years. I owned and operated a HVAC business in Texas and retired from that in 2003 (but that is another story). Started in IM in 6/2011 not doing well at this point but will because I choose to succeed.

You asked several questions some of which can be answered with a simple yes or no, while others take a little more detail and thought. So here is mine:

Is the world as a whole headed towards a great change? Yes

Will this be a time of opportunity? Without a doubt one of the greatest, Yes

Is the U.S. headed for a financial collapse or at the very least a major economic realignment? If history is any teacher that answer has to be ,Yes.

Does that cause me to be fearful? No Concerned? Yes

Will entrepreneurs have a major role to play in this future? Let me say that they have the potential to play a great role, but if and only if they get the right mind set to go with it. To many of today’s IM entrepreneurs are all about personal gain at the cost of all others making them part of the problem not part of the solution. And let me say quickly that I have no problem with personal gain (in fact I kind of like it) but I believe as you said that gain comes naturally when helping others, making it a byproduct of the work rather than the goal itself.

With that being said you asked what are we currently doing? I personally began 3 weeks ago working on an idea that I had 40 years ago, before PC’s, laptops, or even before the internet. I had not thought about this project once during that 40 year period. Then suddenly it just popped back in my head. If put together properly has the potential to do great good. So I am accepting this as a life goal and proceeding full speed ahead

229. As usual an excellent video, Greg. Thank you! I strongly believe that we have a lot to look forward and get out of our comfort zone because life is a wonderful play ground for all of us. We just have to have the courage to see it, acknowledge it and put our ideas into action.
My whole life I had to stand up and do what I felt is was the right thing to do agains all prejudice. With the courage I developed in the process I literally moved mountains and I am still doing so. 🙂 In my business I see more and more opportunity to grow AND help others.
I don’t let myself pull down by all the worrywarts around me and believe me, Greg, there are plenty of them out there…
Since I started with your TA program life got even better with putting some of the lessons into action. My business is growing and I receive more and more new clients “in this difficult economy”. Beside still working hard – but not as hard as I used to… 🙂 I find some time to help others with supporting them spiritually such as one of my friends who lost her son last year in March at the age of 27. She needs me quite a bit and I have the luxury to free up some time to listen to her and spend some time with her.
My business has to do with health which is totally misunderstood and mistdirected. I focus on educating my clients and their customers. With this said I am building up my TA status even more since I realized that I already was one before I “met” you. The oportunity we have for the future has to be done within our community at large – the world. I agree with you that at the end of the day we are all ONE. We are connected to each other like a spider web is connected to the center…
If we look way back, the world history was created with optimists who saw the opportunities ahead of them. There were bad times or even worse than today but each of the generation got out of it due to the optimists who never gave up and whose glasses were always half full and not half empty. Greg, your glass is half full, my glass is half full. Who else’s glass is also half full in this group? Let’s keep moving forward with a big smile on our faces, see the sun rise, the beauty out there and within ourselves because if we are happy everybody around us is happy – and that’s a fact and not just myth. 🙂 🙂 🙂

230. It is so good to hear about positive ideals. Thank you for being an example to the many. We all know what is happening all over our world. Never before have we been so communicative across the globe. What a grand opportunity for us to make the upward difference to many lives. You are right in saying it takes courage to make a real difference and many are not willing to go there. Thanks again. Charles Hancock, Mesa, AZ

231. Hi Greg, Thank you. I am on the side of “incredible opportunity”, I feel you were speaking to me in the video. While I have taken massive action, and begun to step out in courage with my message, threatening the status quo, I have limited myself through a lack of skill (or alliance) in marketing and internet. I have a technology that can bring people to a profound awareness of their interconnectedness with Life, and thus each other, resolving the misconception of “separateness”.
I look forward to your future messages, and thank you for this one. I also heard you speak at the Passionate Life Summit, and recommend doing so to all who read this post! Great info and perspectives!

232. Thank you for this video. Long ago my aunt was upset with me because I wanted to go to Guatemala to help orphaned children there. She too said that we should look after our own first. I love what you said about us all being connected. That is what she needed to hear but I didn’t have the experience at the time to say that to her. My response was that we have so much more help here in Canada. In Guatemala there is next to no help. On April 1st I am celebrating my 60th birthday with a Benefit Concierto in support of Project Somos Children’s Village in Guatemala. I’m excited and I get butterflies in my stomach as it is the biggest project I’ve ever taken on. It is all coming together beautifully. I just need to remember to breathe!

233. I love your statement about having the courage to do something to make the world better. This really is the mindset we must be immersed in on a daily basis- that I exist to make the world a better place, no matter what the current condition of the world. Then we will have truly lived successfully.

234. Greg, Thank you for your authentic voice and inspired video. The blinders come on when we choose to live in illusion…. that we are separate, less than creators, and somehow at the mercy of circumstances. I choose to see the luminous light beings we all are, I AM, and to celebrate this moment of freedom to expand and express the joy of simply being here in this transformational time. I am taking the steps to emerge and be visible as a change agent and in sharing my gifts as an entrepreneur, as a visionary, wayshower. This definitely takes courage, passion and faith. The path of the Mystic is to have faith in the unseen and move forward. I know many of us are on that path, not seeing where the resources are yet knowing we are those resources. We are all absolutely One and the world is so in us we can be together as a unified field expressing here and now from everywhere. I see a magnificent hologram of a new Earth being born through each of us. I am calling in the marketing resources to move courageously forward. So much light and love on your journey to Africa.

235. Thanks Ralph, I am taking in everything you said and learning from others through wonderful seminars. I still have young kids at school and at times limited to what work I can do. I have been a Wedding Photographer part time for 8 years, my own business, but have since ventured into Direct sales, with a product i am truly passionate about. I have noticed changes in myself, and the effect I have on others sharing my product. i am trying to sap up everything I can about my presence online and know that I can change my mindset and make others happy! At times my fear of failure kicks in, but with motivational imformation like yours online, i am getting there!

236. Greg,
I think that there are definately some econimic instability coming and perhaps we will have a collapse, but in all that there are still opportunities to take advantage of within that there are always people who need something and are willing to pay for it. The question is where is that opportunity? How can you get infront of that wave of opportunity that is about to come?

Great Question Greg!

237. I’m 72 this year, I retired at 65 like so many others. Retirement lasted about 6 months, then I got involved in a non-profit society to create a community-based Internet. I’m turning the baton to others this year, and am starting another venture – online, using the Internet system just created. I’ve worked in industry, I’ve started ventures, not all successful; but, if one listens to conventional wisdom, nothing gets done. Doers do, others wonder what is happening and do nothing.

238. I know we are in a time of transformation and we must do our best to move forward in this time of turmoil.

239. I am a 65 year old gardening teacher interested in many more people becoming engaged in growing food. I don’t feel fearful about the future even though I don’t have a lot of income. I taught for 6 years from my home but have stopped with the intention of finding a better way to influence people on a larger scale. I am taking a writing course to improve my writing but it seems like a long an grueling process to get the attention I would like to have. I am afraid of stepping into a higher level of operating and being overwhelmed with work. My son has started a business also and I am proud of his independence but he is having a rough time getting enough customers and perhaps is fearful of going too deep. We could use some inspiration.

240. Listened carefully to the video. As I understand it, the premise is that you have to be in one of two camps- optimistic business person or pessimistic doom and gloomer. I wish it was that simple. No amount of positive thinking or optimisim is going to change the hard, cold facts of what is really an economic depression. The sad thing is that none of the “experts” in the entire world know how to turn it around. As far as the idea of helping people will somehow automatically make you wealthy- it is just not true. I poured my money, heart and soul into a family fitness center to help people be healthier but it failed. My wife and I now owe $59K. If you want a realistic view of what sacrifices it will take to succeed and get rich in business- read Felix Dennis’ book “How to Get Rich”. That is a real eye-opener. Be optimistic. Put yourself out there. Just do it with wisdom and be prepared for the good, the bad and the real world.

241. Wow. I feel blessed to have been led to this site and for following the hunch to watch this video blog. I recently decided to get out of the military (service for which I will forever be thankful) for want of an autonomous professional life whereby I could really make things happen. During these past six months however, my visions of grandeur have given way to a routine job with a 60-70 hour work week. All of those who criticized my decision to leave the military are giving me the silent “I told you so” and damnit!, I’m listening to them as they tell me to stick this job out for the “experience” that will lead to a “high paying” sales job.

I have always believed myself to be a courageous person but the recent past has led me to question that. I guess I’ve been hit really hard by the realization that I had grown complacent under the protective umbrella of the world’s most powerful government and didn’t even know it. Now that it’s my time to shine I’m so scared of the idea of self-reliance that I may need to go back to the bottle (pun intended).

That’s not an easy confession for me but your video inspires me to make it. I’ve always seemed successful to those around me because things have come so easy for me. I’m just now coming to terms with the discovery that I always knew that I have never pushed my limits. Greg, your video inspires me to push those limits for once and for all. I have no idea how to start a business. I had yet to grasp the real meaning of entrepreneurship until I watched this blog. What I do know is that if I continue this lifestyle I will be a failure. You’re right that the word “simple” is one of the most powerful in the English language. Here’s a simple reality of my worldview: I refuse to accept that I could ever be a failure.

Thanks Greg. Please keep this stuff coming. I’m not sure how many of us there are who are counting on you and your distinguished cohorts to keep shining the light but I would venture to guess that we number in the billions. If you keep providing this type of material I WILL find a way to become a part of your long-term clientele.

My heart is racing as I write this – I think it’s because I’ve already made the decision to join the ranks of the Achievers and know that I’ll soon have to find out what I’m really made of.

242. I believe both sides of the argument(discussion) are probably true. It may well get worse before it gets better, but I can’t change the whole global environment. It will, however, get really bad for me and fast if I just give up because it may happen. I prefer to move forward with optimism than to sit and wait in fear. If I’m wrong, at least I enjoyed life more before I found out I was wrong. I only have each day as it comes. I prefer to relish in it!

243. Yes Greg I believe you are right.I have always thought like that, but never know just where to start. I am a 84 year old woman and have my own embroidery business, very small, but do want to grow. My mission is to show other seniors to not be afraid to keep busy and do something worth while. I too would like to help other people who are going through bad times. I do worry about the world right now, but I know it will get better. I believe people like Dan Kennedy are a great inspiration and will be a great help. Thanks Rose

244. Thank you for sending me your ‘rant’. I appreciate what you have to say. I have been encouraged by my boyfriend to start my own business, but to date, have not followed through. My problem is a lack of direction, a lack of vision perhaps, and definitely a lack of financial backing. I intend to show your ‘rant’ to my boyfriend when he comes home, as he is a long-haul truck driver. He is more of a leader than am I, but I’m a ‘wanna-be’ :p I keep looking at businesses for sale in my region, hoping something will click, all-the-while looking in the classified ads, applying for jobs.

As for my perspective on how to look to the future, as a cup half-full or a cup half-empty, in anticipation of prosperity or in despair, I hope good things will come of the world’s happenings, and although I am not an entrepreneur with a business of my own, I still do whatever good I can for others, helping them to get ahead. That’s what community is all about, is it not? That’s what they call it, a global community, do they not?

245. Thank you Greg for this video. Your comments really went home. I’m in my mid-sixties and still struggling how to make a significant contribution to this world before I go. I agree that if one is not helping anybody through his business, his work or in any other way, he is leading a useless life. I want to break out of the herd who focus on problems instead of opportunities, on lack instead of abundance. What’s holding me back are feelings of fear, doubts, inadequacies, etc. Your video has given me courage to push on. I look forward to receiving other inputs from you to keep me on track.

246. I make neon art. For many years I made neon signs. I made sure that each year (for 30+) I did at least one pro-bono job. They ranged from a small window piece to a sculptural work on a pole from the roof. They have been very gratifying to me, and have enhanced many businesses. I thoroughly understand, and support, the idea of giving.
It makes all of us feel good.

247. I’m glad you’re bringing up this important topic Greg. I see good and bad in the direction our world is heading and I think the key is to realistically assess what is happening while acknowledging that every cloud has a silver lining.

What excites me the most is that people are finally waking up to the truth about our world. They’re recognizing the betrayal of most of the institutions they trusted including governments, education, medicine, the food industry, religion, etc. This growing awareness is exposing the overt corruption at all levels of society and this must happen before things can get better.

I think there’s a good chance that we will go through a global economic collapse in the coming years and that this will lead to widespread civil unrest. I also think it’s wise to prepare for this possibility but at the same time to look for, and take advantage of, opportunities (such as what currently exists in real estate). That’s what I’m doing and at the same time I’m making the most of every chance I get to educate others on how our system really works and what they can do to get their power back.

For one example of how I’m doing this you can go to http://bit.ly/zQEKPx and see how the Fiverr gig I’m running is making a difference in people’s lives. I also have a web site at GrooveMood.com that informs people about what really goes on in the music business.

I totally agree with you that we’re all in this together and we need to stop focusing on our differences and to start working together for a better world. Greed and the lust for power have hurt a lot of people and it’s time for all of us to learn to treat others as we want to be treated. I’m really glad you’re committed to using your gifts to help others and I’m excited about hearing more from you and your readers.

248. “Be courageous and very very strong”, there is so much opportunity out there but not in the conventional sense, we are so stuck in traditional ways of doing business, and need to view things from a different perspective and need of the world today, everything we know has been built on a false economy and we need to go beyond what we know and branch out, I looked at myself and realised that certain things i wished to attain and was stopping myself from doing it because of fear, I realised this and decided bugger the fear and do it and you will not believe the results…

249. Hi Gregg,
I had troubles watching this video yesterday. Now I did it. I think now is the moment to make a difference in the world. I believe in people, in kindness and love. Thank you for all the work you are doing and for the great content you put online for free.
Best regards,
Pravda

250. Hi Greg

Thank you for Caring and for Sharing.
I see the changes the world is going through as the most wonderful opportunity to get back to basics, to learn what really matters in our lives. The chance to let go of the “keeping up with the Jones’s” attitude; of realising that the best things in life are free.
The time with family and friends, the chance to get outside and enjoy the fresh air and the sunshine. The chance to share with others and allow ourselves to be the loving caring being that we truely are.
It is a chance to unclutter our lives of what is truely insignificant; the chance to get back in touch with ourselves, to learn, grow and share. The chance to become more of a community again.
I will be forever grateful to both you and Robert Evans for the opportunity that I have accepted to be one of the messenger speakers at the forth coming Messenger Summit and I know that my life and what I can offer to the world is already changing and is being supported by your Trusted Authority Formula Course.
There are so mant opportunities out there it is just that we need to remove the box altogether and open ourselves up to them, because the opportunities of old may no longer exist but new and brighter ones are there waiting for whoever is willing to take the challenge and grab them.
Love, Peace & Light
Sara

251. Hi Greg.
These are my own quotes about our future with following educated nutcases. This ruling body of plonkers, the law makers are not in tune with their own conscious mind, sub-conscious mind, especially the universal mind as everything is NOT built on TRUTH.
“Fro all the lost souls who have been led astray, search for the one who is with you every night and day”….”From GODS spirit of the place most high, a gift that’s earned that no one can buy, for those who looking but do not find, are using their eyes and not their mind” Malcolm Manby.

252. EVERY WORD YOU SPEAK MAKES SO MUCH SENSE TODAY.YES IT TAKES
COURAGE TO STAND UP FOR WHAT YOU BELIEVE IN AND COURAGE TO
OPPOSE A PROGRAMMED SOCIETY. MY QUESTION TO YOU IS HOW DO WE INCREASE OUR LEVEL OF COURAGE ON A DAILY BASIS

253. Sorry sir-you have fallen into the “I gotta do something for the poorest in other nations” trap. Think for a minute if EVERY Canadian put their energy, time and money into “rising up” every FELLOW CANADIAN who was less fortunate than they, what would Canada look like to other nations of the world. Would they not see that Canadians DO CARE for their own and then in turn learn how to do it for THEMSELVES? I’ve done the third world country bit (adopted a Haitian child). I’ve given thousands to programs in other countries (as a Rotary Club member for 20 yrs.) but NOW with my hindsight I think I SHOULD put my ENERGY, TIME and MONEY into helping fellow Canadians. I recently learned that 21 minutes from my home (according to my GPS) live 80+ fellow Canadians ON THE STREETS!!!! THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE!!!! So yes it takes courage to step outside your comfort zone and THINK BIG but really, we only have so much time to get this done (our lifetime should NOT be wasted!!!) There really is the manpower in Africa to build that school-you and your dad aren’t “the chosen ones” to do so. It may help you deal with some personal itch…..but I implore you to THINK LOCALLY AND KEEP THINKING LOCALLY UNTIL OUR NATION IS TAKEN CARE OF!!!!!

1. Interesting thought process FMAZZARA.

I believe both of you are right. Canadians need help, so as other developing country. The difference is in the “kind” of help each needs. I truly believe and support that the end goal is one human looking to help another human being for the betterment of all wherever these human beings may find themselves.

Canadians on the street needs hope, courage, and accountability around their thoughts and actions to get out of their “hole”.

Developing countries need hope, courage, and resources to get out of their hole.

You see, both of you are right, the difference lies in the context.

254. I would agree that there is potential for growth anytime. “Where there is a will, there is a way”. You and the others leading is this direction/message are on the right track.

255. Thank you, Greg, for raising the discussion! I am a new entrepreneur, and I believe in the opportunities opening up for those who look for them, and move in that direction. I will also be speaking at the Messenger Summit, and look forward to seeing you there.

256. Here’s the way I see it. (I have been in advertising and marketing for over 30 years).
There is only so much we can do, because right now there is a war on and most people do not even see it.
The war is for control of the internet.
I’m going to pick one particular market, the music industry, as my example, but the same thing applies no matter what you are selling, (even marketing advice services such as yours Greg).

Up until the rise of the internet, musicians and their audience were completely dependent on the old monopoly of music labels. Before the internet if musicians wanted his music to reach a big audience they were completely dependent upon the whims of the labels. If your face didn’t fit your career was over. That was it.

Then internet happened and suddenly here was another outlet that both providers and customers could use without the requirement of the middle man (record labels). This gained momentum and has now become such a powerful tool that a musician can hit the mainstream without ever having to sign with a label. A music consumer can search the internet to find any kind of music they want without ever entering a label controlled music store. The monopoly has been broken broken.

This is great right? Well not if you own a record label. So the monopolies turned a civil offense in to a crime. Copyright breach became a criminal act and is now called piracy and the former monopolies have started to push for world wide legislation to control piracy. SOPA, ACTA and so on. But these “laws” wont only effect piracy, they are pretty much discretionary because they are wide open to interpretation. Here is an example:
If you are a musician selling your music off your blog and you post a link to a youtube video that was uploaded without permission (you really have no way of knowing that) then your site can be shut down for piracy. And you then have to prove you are not a pirate which can take months or even years. In the meantime your business dies. There is no requirement for proof, in the way there is in court. Its guilty until proven innocent. But it is in reality worse than that because all it will take to shut you down is an accusation. No evidence is required at that stage.

The reason for this is clear. The big former monopolies want their monopoly back. If these laws pass they can shut down every website that breaks their monopoly. In fact the only way a musician will be able to get their work published will be to go through the monopolies.

But remember: this will apply to every business. Want to publish a book? Then your only choice will be Amazon. Want to distribute a movie then you must go to the big movie distributors.
They want their cut of your money and if these laws pass they will get it.

So while I agree that you if you push hard enough in the right places you will achieve success, if the monopolies have their way, your success will substantially more difficult to achieve; and it will only happen if they get their cut and if they like your product. Unless we can stop these laws being passed or have them changed so that they are fair to all then things are going to get incredably difficult for all but the monopolies.

So the question is do we want a return to the 1970’s or do want an even chance? Its up to all of us to decide.

257. Yes, I am fearful and not super confident… and Yes, I want to step out of my comfort zone… Take heart… and have the courage (cour means heart) to make a difference in the New World that is awakening simultaneously with all the bad stuff coming to a head, and hopefully collapsing under it’s own weight. You ask… what am I doing right now… today… to be counted? LISTENING TO YOU! And I am amazed that EXACTLY what I was thinking I needed to figure out how to do… is being offered in your post about how to create a high quality video in 7 minutes… for FREE! LOVE YOU and thanks!

258. Thanks for putting this out there! I am married to an entrepreneur and he has recently lost his ‘day’ J.O.B. and a few months ago jumped in head first into a new business venture. I have been having a hard time supporting him because I am stuck in the fear, the doom and gloom and the What if??? Thank you for reminding me that the world is actually run by entrepreneurs, and that opportunity is available for those who can see it.

1. Dear Jenn,
Fear affects us all, and it is often difficult to tease out when it is justified or not. I find that I can make better decisions when I’m well rested, off of caffeine, exercising, watching comedies, and sharing time with positive friends and family. It sounds like you married a winner, continue to be supportive of him and honest with him. No doubt he is feeling a little shaky at times, too.
Love,
Veronica Butler, MD

259. Well Greg, I find I like to be among the positive folks and am most of the time yet I am starting to stock pile food. I was talking to a friend recently about this. Over all we feel we will weather it all just fine because we are in touch with the energy of the Universe from which all abundance flows. In other words we are not stock-piling ammo or anything like that. There will be some rough times ahead for those who hold back and withdraw in fear. For those who live confidently in the assurance that they are cared for more than the sparrows, we will do just fine! Thanks for the video because I have been sensing the same things by what I read and follow online.

1. Dear Christopher,
A positive person can prepare for the future. I salute you for following your intuition.
Love,
Veronica Butler

260. Hi Greg

I am really inspired by your call for enterprenuers to do something for the others in the world. I have taken up the challenge, because I have been afraid to start my business for almost three years, but I really agree with you that entrepreneurs should give the world a brighter future.

Thanks for challenging me to action, next time I post a comment it will be more on what I am doing in business and how the business is going, as well as how I am bringing brightness of the future to my part of the world.

1. Dear Cicci,
It sounds like you are a very sincere person. Big efforts like building a school in Uganda are obviously wonderful contributions, but we can challenge ourselves to make small daily efforts like smiling, encouraging others or just making sure we are generous with our time to change the world. What do you think?
Love,
Veronica Butler

261. It makes me think Greg that you are what you think. Given the same facts and economic environment 2 groups of intelligent people got to different paths because the way they think. I believe there is more money NOW than ever before and if you are able to shift your thoughts to the better path and have the courage, vision and persistence to make it happen you will become a successful entrepreneur.

262. Greg, I agree with you. What is happening right now is powerful. Some of us will see opportunity while others will see destruction in the chain of events. I stay away from doom and gloom types and have learned to change my language. I was raised with fear looming over my head, hiding under school desks to protect us from the big bad USSR didn’t work then and it wont work now. Things will change, politically, financially and socially. It does not mean that anarchy will prevail.
Now, to get to work on putting my thoughts into actions.
Thank you for your videos.

263. Hi Greg… Thanks for the video… it seems to me that you have to be prepared for both ways to really make things work! Focusing on how to make the world a better place can also involve preparing for the possibility that our economic system might take a hit — they are two sides of the same coin. So don’t give in to defeat now but learn how to turn the worst case scenario into an opportunity too… I don’t have much faith in the world economic system because I don’t trust the people who run it but I would never let those b——s grind me down either!!!

264. Grey am a Ugandan,am a big fan of yours i follow you blog almost every day,i just wanted to thank you for choosing to come to my country you really love it here we are truly a pearl of Africa,i have been practicing all things that you have been teaching and my results are incredible yet i just started, may be i could join you on your trip when you come to our country,i live in Kampala my number i s+256 712 938 378 Waiswa yusuf is my name ,looking forward to meeting you

265. Hi Greg – you are a breath of FRESH AIR!
It’s great to hear someone talk the way you have done in this video. I’m with you 100%. I may not have your millions (or billions) in my bank account or as investments just yet but I see the future as bright, positive and look at all changes with a silver lining. Good ALWAYS comes from the so called ‘bad’. I don’t read newspapers, I very rarely watch TV these days, I would much rather concentrate all of my thoughts on what I am creating for my future. Each night I am thankful for all I have and each morning I bless the day with the brilliant things that are coming my way. I have always been positive but being human I have also had black days but I know and feel much better when I am thankful and create through vision and belief a future that suits me.
I help and encourage entrepreneurs (I’m a virtual assistant – it’s what I’m great at. I was born organised!) to become great and I love to watch them succeed. Don’t be afraid of the future. I know we don’t like change but if you just let go, the ride can be exhilarating.
Keep up the brilliant work and all the very best with the school.

1. Hi! I just happened to receive an e-mail from disqus – the entry from Janet, a guest. I truly appreciate what both Greg and Janet had to say. Being an entrepreneur is about being a risk-taker. Are you risk-averse,or do you readily embrace risk? Being a risk taker doesn’t mean that you just jump in blindly, but that you evaluate the risks, take precautions against them, and move somewhat cautiously ahead. The important thing, though, is to move. DO something in the pursuit of your dream(s).

I appreciate what Greg had to say about how, in helping others, you are able to help or promote your own interests, as well. We need to turn from a mind-set of scarcity, and embrace a more global mindset.
In Tiny Tim’s own words, God help us, every one!!

266. I know and believe there is opportunity all around. You just have to keep focused on them. I find the hardest thing is to take the courage and act ! Finding the right tool to do that would be much appreciated!!!
Excellent video by the way!

Sat

267. Thank you so much for your inspirational post, Greg. You are one of the people I choose to follow to stay out of the scarcity mindset and maintain a positive view of the future. I just received “Abundance” in the mail yesterday and am looking forward to reading it. Finding people like you and Peter Diamandis helps me to stay focused on what I can do and to keep moving forward.

268. I agree 100% on your views and opinion on creating brightness of the future.I believe we need to talk to our subconcious in order to succeed in our goals in life.

269. Great video!!! Yes, I’m on board with you in doing all I can to help others and to leave this world a better place than when I was here!! I met you last May in Denver and will be in San Diego with you next month. I even retired last August, mainly so I could devote more time to my quest of learning successful Internet Marketing. My ultimate goals are to help teach people how to avoid being homeless!!

270. Thank you for helping me to release the stress and confusion about how to restart my life after bankruptcy and foreclosure . My wife and I have been stuck between whether to buy emergency food and water , tissue or stop worrying and just start over .

271. Just what I needed to hear! I’m feeling scared right now and need to push through the fear. Thank you

272. I am only 16 yet my Dad is older than yours Greg :O
This is a really great video. Leadership and Courage are the KEYS!

273. Greg: Thank you for the opportunity of sharing our way of thinking. I know that a comment shall be short and precise, but this one needs to be a little bit longer, if you permit so. Firstly I don’t want to congratulate you for your mindset or opinions, because out of any modesty I own the same ones, in such a case we shall congratulate each other and this don’t help us in the very mean of action.

Let me explain a little more. First I’m a doctor in Engineering from the Norwegian University. As a Mexican you shall think that this is a great advantage, and surely it is. But not for the technical knowledge, but for the general knowledge of my people. Now I know better what to be a Mexican means. I am 74, so the life expectation for me is not so big, but this doesn’t stop not harm me in any way. I’m as committed as I was 50 years ago for my country and for my people. During my life I built 7 enterprises that failed because several reasons, I served my country as director for a National Program, and I’ve been a teacher for 60 years, that gave me the opportunity to deal with youngsters all my life.

So, you can see that my goals are aimed to be an entrepreneur. Now I have a communications company and I am director of a Research Institute in a small town in the middle of the country. All my efforts are stocked because of lack of money. I’ve got some grants in the foreign that I could have not realized till now because the governments, including mine, are demanding more and more taxes and fees for stupid anti terrorist, money laundry, and drug dealing certificates. There has been three years of this black hole affair that led me to a broken and debt situation as never in my life.

Well, let’s go in the matter. Mexico, my dear country, is, as you can know 80, 85% dependent on the American economy. All economic problems in the US reflects in us as a boomerang. Although the official point of view of the government that is broadcast by all media, we have two recessions, and a increasing inflation (partially concealed by government itself). The reason of all this is to avoid people’s consumerism. but it leads to a scarcity of money in the streets. Besides the public debt had increased enormously, although the government said that it has been paid in a half. Banks support had been increased so the people can be also in big debt, and prosecuted because they couldn’t pay the interests. As a consequence people instead of having goods, they are losing what they acquire.

In order to solve problems, specially the lack of employment, the government has expanded the easiness to build enterprises, but as the Mexicans does not have capital enough, they are stimulating the foreign industry to be settled. In order to create laborers to fulfill the new industries needs, the government has changed the education policy, making that the youngsters believe that the only solution for the economic problems in their families is to be an employee in one of the new foreign industries. I have talked about this problem for so long time, so as the educative authorities has sent me a warning for doing so. Although this I am trying to change the youngster mindset and believe that the ONLY solution is to be an entrepreneur. No use. As you say, for a young man or woman to go out of their comfort zone is more difficult than solving an educational problem. I don’t dismay anyhow. I shall point out that some technological institutions under the US control are producing managers and entrepreneurs, but the students in those institutions are sons and daughters of daddy who is already an successful entrepreneur.

If you look for a panoramic situation of my country, the government is trying to build people to be employees of the US and the foreign countries. It is a political need, the numbers shall show that (number of labor sites versus number of employees). To think is forbidden in our country, because it goes against nationality and the majority interests. In such a view it is a deceiving position. But there is another point of view, much more important and strong than that. Young men and women shall see soon the truth. I continue to do this, and I continue to teach and look for my own business, that sooner or later shall come out of the black hole where it is now.

274. I sincerely believe there is extremely big potential ahead. I believe for both sides. People that stay in their comfort zone will not be comfortably for long and there might be quite a few global events that impact us negatively. On the other hand there is great POSSIBILITY. The chance to tap our personal potential has grown exponentially and through the connectivity we are able to progress much faster towards gigantic and substantial goals.

No excuses. Full Vision. I have personally decided to work hard every day to make the best out of my potential and help others to the same.

bFresh Lifestyle! 🙂

PS: I appreciate your wholehearted sincerity and conviction Greg! You inspire me to keep it real in this “head-in-the-sand society”

275. Very inspiring Greg, thank you. I’m like most others… Stuck in deciding what to do even be an entrepreneur. I have the courage, and am willing to do whatever it takes, but I don’t know what to do at the moment. I will figure it out, and it will be awesome to be counted amongst the ones that come out of the recession better and wealthier than ever.

276. Greg, keep the momentum “forward”. You have been given the skill to speak and the medium to fast-forward touching people’s lives in moments of shared optimism.

You said you are not selling anything; you ARE SELLING. You are selling the value of YOU, ME, and THEM. People are the heart beat of all movement – you keep people in a movement of positive brain to physical action. You are selling one’s sence of self-worth optimism and the human brain’s ability to adapt to the ever-changing sphere of life in which we live and play. There is no greater product.

277. Goodmorning mister ,

I am a new entrepreneur in affiliate marketing
i am very thankful for your message and totally agree about the fact that leadership is the most desperate need in this world…

Even though,i don’t run big in leadership..i like what you sais when you talked about serving others as a big indicator of success…..

i went move forward with this as i strive to developp my ability as an affiliate marketer

your message is very relevant to this time of great paradox; as the world turns darker and chaotic…we will need to take up the challenge to live boldly and with righteous principle….

thanks again very much

i look forward for another inspiring video record from you

stéphane lauzier

278. Thank you Greg. I agree with the positive side of your video – one step ahead each of us means a lot for our world . I am with you !

279. Getting to being a good entrepreneur isn’t something that happens normally. And it is a direct result of planning plus dedication in executing that plan. For those of you who wish to become a successful entrepreneur, you first need to understand the basic resources around you and their applications. Additionally, you will also need to find those businesses that truly holds your interest and find promotional activities that have the best chance for success…

280. You are so right if we had all carried on and continued on our own path and ignored the recession it would not have happened, society’s fears overwhelm individuals and the result Is self fulfilled prophecies breaking out like fires everywhere. If we all as a species hung onto our own bubble of positivity bad news couldn’t disrail nations.
I refused to watch the news when Iraq was invaded for the second time and benefited considerable from less negativity in my life, I then cut out daily newspapers and replaced the time with reading Napolean Hill and Earl Nightingale. My life has changed beyond recognition with improvements in my business and family life that I only dreamed of. I truly
Believe that if I hadn’t taken the time to educate myself in positivity I would still be living a small life unaware of anything bigger possible. The plus side is my children have absorbed my new mindset by osmosis so I’m encouraged to think that I have changed the future well being of generations down the line

281. Dear Greg, thank you for this insightful video.

When I grew up in 1980s Germany, no one ever thought it possible that the iron curtain would ever come down. If I’ve learned one thing, it is that we don’t know what the future will bring. And as the world changes, we have to adapt – and as humans and learning creatures, we all have the ability to do so, if only we believe we can.

The most important thing I’ve learned from following you is the importance of what I want to teach my kids (4 & 7): It is believing in their own power, self-reliance and the trust that they can take matters into their hands, even if it’s just small steps. At the same time, I’m applying the same principles to myself in building my business (stopped blaming others a while ago…)

I agree with you that we need a lot more people who are willing to take responsibility and lead. And I think it’s wonderful that you connect with that kind of people like Peter Diamandis and share their thoughts with us, so we can all do our share to change our little part of the world for the better.

Thank you, Greg.

282. Your rant did me well. I have a journey I have been procrastinating. I will start tomorrow. (within 12 hrs). I will take a step forward.

Thank you.

283. Hi Greg: How timely to listen to your ‘rant’. I have been one who has held back, become fearful, felt lost in the maze of negative maceconomic news the impact of which is so large and devasting if it happens, that there appeared to be nothing one could do to protect against the fall out. I wrote to friend just this morning. Is there any other voice, view point that would dispel this misery that is so paralyzing. I then was let to this video which answered my question. It also confirmed a decision I made to day, before listening. I am going to act on what I deep down know to be true and not let others pooh pooh or their expressed fears to stop me from moving forward or investing, time, energy and money to achieve a higher purpose. A purpose that I have known deep down is part of what I am to do in this world. so thank you. I just register for your Trusted Authority Course which I have known about for quite some time. Doing so is my act of saying, ‘yes’ I am going to do it. Learning is the first step but more importantly is ‘doing’, putting into action, what I know and feel directed to do regardless of whether others agree. So thank you and I look forward to more inspiring motivational videos from you.

1. Thanks Diane, I appreciate your comments and agree – you have to remain aware of what’s going on there, but if you respond appropriately it can be a good thing and doesn’t have to be bad.

284. The power of the mind is above and beyond any other tool used to become what you want. I hear the doom and gloom daily from friends, coworkers, the media, and in public. I am stepping out of my comfort zone to open a new business, which can produce vast amounts of income very quickly. I just need to remember to be a good and faithful steward of what I am given. It is amusing that a lot of the books and publications you recommend I am already reading. To become more you have to live in that space and believe it is already yours. I am looking forward to stepping higher and becoming that person.

285. Thanks Greg for being bold to issue this Entrepreneurial challenge. Greg, I receive it & will act on it declaring to you that I’m fully committed to becoming a successful entrepreneur. What I believe people need the most is learning the right mindset, attitude, & actions to take in order to leap out of the box & become a successful entrepreneurial. Please consider releasing some videos on helping others establish the basic building blocks required to start & ultimately build a successful business. You’re awesome!!!

286. Greg,
I like the way you think. I just found this web site today 4-18-13. I have owned my
own company for 30 yeas now. I have almost bankrupt myself investing in two
inventions over the last 5 years. I am getting close to selling both within the next 6 months. Then I can sell this company that I have been working for and start another different type of company that can work for me. I believe that believing in a bright future makes me much happier than believing in doom & gloom. I will go through the rest of your web site and gather as much knowledge as I can from it to make as many people’s future as bright as I can. Thank You

287. Thank you Greg: I took the leap of faith and opened by business at age 52 and we celebrate our 10th anniversary this year. I have certainly had many moments of fear, but the more I think of what I want to give and what I want to see happen and move confidently in the direction of what I see that I want to happen, the better!! I think, truly, if we can educate children to think not: “I go to college to get a high paying job” but rather:” I seek never ending education and use it as a means to create jobs that serve the world, there would be enough employment and money for all!! “

1. Thank you Janet for your words – I find them encouraging!! I haven’t looked at Disqus for quite some time, so I was surprised to see an e-mail from the website on my computer this morning. I suppose I watched Greg’s video some time ago (I just scrolled up and saw that it says I posted my earlier comment 2 years ago – !!). I watched it again today and found it to be just as inspiring as it was when it was posted – I’m assuming that it’s the same message that I watched 2 yrs ago?

Anyway, I had had a business idea that I shared with a friend awhile ago. Just recently, my friend, also named Janet, reminded me of that idea, encouraging me to pursue it. I’ve shared it with others, who also gave me a positive response, saying that if I was to pursue this, they would probably use my services. I think that, at the age of 45, I’m actually going to pursue this in the coming new year (currently Dec 19).

On a different note, what Greg says about investing in people/business in other countries – someone in my life was saying that when we send $ out of the country, we weaken the Canadian economy (I’m Canadian). I appreciated what Greg had to say about his going to Africa to build a school, about investing in people there. His is a more positive take on the concept of a world without borders – instead of looking take from our economy to find a better economical advantage in developing in the lesser developed nations. That is a win-lose perspective, but I’d rather look for and support win-win situations where both parties win, or have positive outcoes.
