What Tony Robbins shared with me yesterday

Tony Robbins, Paula Abdul, Les Brown, Janet Attwood, Marci Shimoff and many of the greatest authors and speakers in the world gave me an overflowing list of incredible concepts and ideas that I’m excited to share and implement. I’m a member of SANG (Speakers and Authors Networking Group), an exclusive invitation-only membership group that counts many of the greatest marketing and personal development minds in the industry.  We just completed a 3 day private conference that featured brainstorming, information sharing and networking at the brand new Wynn Encore Hotel in Las Vegas. Even though I had already booked my holiday with Raylene and Cooper in the Dominican Republic, this event came up and Raylene encouraged me to attend it.  I’m glad I’ve got such an incredible and supportive wife, because it was a blast! The only catch was that I had to come to Vegas from the DR, and after 3 exhausting and jam-packed days, I’m exhausted and literally on my way back to the DR right now.  I get to enjoy another week in the DR before heading back home to catch up on things. And since I’m headed there, I’m also taking the opportunity to help the animal rescue foundation in the DR, and I’m dragging back 2 humane dog traps on the plane — not the most convenient items to travel with since they don’t fit in a car, and weigh more than 50 pounds each.  But it’s the least I can do to help even more dogs in the DR! Anyway, over the next several days I’m going to be cranking up the blog posts so that I can share some of the greatest insights I gathered from the SANG event. [caption id="attachment_337" align="alignright" width="432" caption="Tony Robbins rocks the SANG event!"]Tony Robbins rocks the SANG event![/caption] Here’s a photo of Tony Robbins during his presentation to the group.  There were only about 120 people at this event, and it’s not often you get to sit in the audience alongside Tony Robbins, soaking up the knowledge and information!  He’s an incredibly generous guy, and was there not only to share his insights on success strategies for the current environment, but he was there to learn from some of the other geniuses in the room.  You name a top information marketer, author or speaker, and chances are they were there — Robert Allen, Les Brown, Alex Mandossian, Stephen Pierce, Joe Polish, Rich Schefren .. the list goes on and on. Some true legends were there — in fact in the picture, the gentleman in the striped shirt to the left — that is the absolute marketing legend, Joe Sugarman, creator of one of the most successful and lucrative marketing campaigns ever — remember the BluBlocker infomercials?  That was Joe’s creation!  An absolute genius when it comes to marketing, one of the grandfathers of the direct response industry.  Joe gave me some FANTASTIC advice that will be worth millions of dollars to me over the next 24 months.  And that was just ONE conversation I had! Anyway, to my point — Tony Robbins shared a ton of incredible insight, but one of the most powerful distinctions he gave us was his belief that success ultimately comes down to one thing — hungerThe ability to remain persistent, focused and having a burning desire that drives you to do whatever it takes. This is a core concept that I teach, and it’s truly why most people who attend “money making” seminars and programs do not succeed.  They’re chasing the money, thinking that wealth will make them happy or solve problems. Until you get clear on your burning desire .. your “big why” .. your passion .. you will never achieve your potential, nor will you attract and retain wealth. It was amazing, because we heard the EXACT same message from one of the top speakers in the world, Les Brown, who said the same thing — you gotta be HUNGRY!  And Paula Abdul gave her FIRST speaking presentation at this event, telling her INCREDIBLE story. Trust me when I say you do NOT know the real Paula Abdul until you’ve met her and heard her story.  She is truly an incredible woman, and her message was the same — you have to have inner belief and hunger to push through anything that comes at you. Being at this event was absolutely incredible, and I can’t wait until the next event in August.  I was blessed enough to be invited to the group by my friend Janet Attwood, co-author of The Passion Test (who’s speaking at our SimpleWealth Summit in June – along with James Arthur Ray, Dr. Robert Cialdini, and several other incredible luminaries). What a blessed life!  And now I get to go back to the beaches of the DR to enjoy some quiet time with my family. I’m living proof that if you pursue your passion and, as Janet teaches, “choose in favor of your passions“, you end up getting exactly what you want, and being exactly where you want to be. I’ll do some more posts to share some of the other incredible insights I picked up from some of the world’s greatest marketing and personal development minds, so stay tuned and be ready to learn!]]>

  1. Greg,
So true – it all starts with the big “Why”. Thank you for the great post and have amazing time with your family in DR.
I wish one day I can attend SANG event too.
    Many blessings,
    Mariana

  2. I have been a REIN member for 5 years, but moved to Victoria BC, 4 years ago after living in Edmonton for 25 years. Currently, I have one residential rental in NE Edmonton, but it is very difficult to keep tabs on and find good real estate in Alberta, when working full time in BC.

I listen to the REIN CDs each month and wish to congratulate Greg on his excellent presentation on Commercial Real Estate on the most recent CDs.

Would it be possible to obtain more information on investing in Commercial Real Estate in Alberta – does Greg involve himself in Joint Ventures etc? I shall be attending the BC ACRE program in Coquitlam, BC this weekend and will network there, but am very interested in learning more about Greg’s approach.

    Sincerely,

    Sue Ferreira

    1. Hi there:

While I do not typically do individual joint ventures any more, we do occasionally undertake investment funds structured as Limited Partnerships (LP). We are in the process of bringing a new LP opportunity to the market now. If you’re interested in hearing more about that, I’d suggest you email Taryn in our office ([email protected]) and she can give you more details.

Thanks for the kind words, and I’m glad you enjoyed the talk on Commercial Investing!
