just watch a bunch of successful people and notice the habits and and mindsets they hold! That is precisely what I did this past weekend. I just returned home from some intense MasterMind sessions with my VIP clients, who shared their progress, insights and challenges since we last met 90 days ago. These sessions rank among the most inspiring processes I take part in, because it’s very exciting to watch committed individuals on their path of growth and success. We have such a range and diversity of individuals who are in my private coaching program, but they all share a commitment to learning, measuring and doing whatever it takes. In working with the VIPs, I’ve observed several key habits and traits they share, which I believe are responsible for the results that they achieve (and the lack of results so many other people see in their lives). What You Measure, Improves One of the reasons I insist that all VIP members (and students in general) write down their goals every day is that focuses your mind on specifically what it is you are intending to accomplish. Keeping your goals in front of you daily allows you to develop the specific tasks and activities required to complete each of the goals. I’ve observed that whenever you implement measurement into any process you undertake, you inevitably will create better results because of the measurement. This goes not only for your marketing and sales processes (ie: measuring the effectiveness of your ads, measuring the number of prospects that convert to sales, etc.) but every element of your business or investment plan. The moment you begin measuring something, your attention causes results to being manifesting simply because of your focus on it. This is a simple application of the Law Of Attraction (what you focus on expands). Successful People Are Busy People You’ve heard the saying, “if you want something to get done, give it to someone who’s already busy“. One of the things I notice about the achievers in our group is that they are tremendously busy. They don’t buy into the garbage about “being passive”, and they’ve recognized that thinking they can get something for nothing is a loser’s mentality. They don’t make excuses as to why they don’t have time to do things. They MAKE time for the important stuff, and they understand the principle that success is about priority management, not time management. You cannot manage time, no matter how hard you try — that clock will keep ticking no matter how hard you try to manage it. However, you CAN manage the priorities you set for yourself. By being clear on what’s important to you, you’ll end up focusing on the important stuff and getting the results you want. Clarity Is Power The biggest problem most people face is they have absolutely NO IDEA what it is they really WANT. As a result, they chase down all kinds of roads that inevitably lead to dead-ends. They think they want to be rich, but if they ever create the money, they find that it doesn’t make them happy, or feel fuliflled. The ABSOLUTELY most important thing you must do on your path to success is to GET CLEAR on what exactly it is you are looking to accomplish. You’ve got to be clear on what you want, and what really excites you. Once you know this, then putting together the plan becomes simple! If someone asked me, “what’s the single most important thing I must do in order to attract success?” .. my answer is to get 100% crystal clear on what you want, and what your burning desire is. Everything else follows from that. And watching my VIPs, it’s obvious that those who are the most clear about what inspires and excites them are the ones who achieve the most — and perhaps more importantly, enjoy the process along the way. Look For The Spaces, Not The Cars The final tip that I noticed among the top performers is that they focus on opportunities and solutions, not problems. It reminds me of when I took defensive driving classes when I turned 16 and wanted to get my driver’s license. One of the most powerful things I remember learning from the teacher was that when you are trying to merge onto a busy freeway, most people automatically focus on all the cars speeding at them .. and they get scared that they’re going to hit another car. Instead, the secret is to focus on all the spaces between the cars. If you focus on the cars themselves, you’ll feel like there’s no space and you’ll get freaked out .. whereas, if you focus on the spaces between the cars, you’re focused on what you want, and you’ll find merging into traffic much easier to do. Successful people tend to focus on the “spaces” — what they want, instead of focusing on what they don’t want. Again, this is the Law Of Attraction in action. This isn’t to say they never think about the problems that could occur. They do acknowledge challenges and problems, but they don’t spend a lot of time focused on them, and instead seek out solutions and contingencies to those problems in case they happen, and then push forward to spend most of their energy on opportunities. I’ve learned a tremendous amount from working with my VIP members, and it’s one of the most rewarding experiences that I have among all of my businesses. I came to realize recently that while I used to think I was passionate about teaching others, that’s not actually true. While I DO love teaching people, what I am truly passionate about is seeing the results in those I teach. A small distinction, but it’s made all the difference in the world for me! So if you’re looking to crank up your results and become a top achiever, start with these 4 simple, but powerful observations about what I’m seeing lead to massive success for many of the most inspirational people in my life! And thank you to each and every one of my VIP members for providing me a view into greatness, and being a part of your success.]]>
