100% Dominican Beachhound

I’m happy to report that he’s thriving, and has become an irreplaceable (though also an admittedly troublesome) member of the family.  Here’s Bear enjoying his new sister Sophie’s princess bed (and as you can see, Sophie’s not entirely please about it).  He’s certainly made himself one of the family.. and has grown an incredible amount since his early days (here’s what he looked like soon after we met him.)  I am very excited about a project I’m currently working on that I hope will have a significant impact on the dog community in the Dominican Republic.  Through the very gracious offers of several of my associates, I am now in the process of developing a Foundation that will serve the needs of abandoned, stray and wild dogs on the north coast of the Dominican Republic.  You’ll hear (a lot) more about this effort over the next several weeks, but I truly feel that this is one of those things I am supposed to be doing, and I can’t wait to focus our resources, time and energy on this project.  I’ve been an animal lover my whole life, and I’m now fortunate to be in a position to really make a difference for the animals in one part of the world I’ve fallen in love with — the Dominican Republic. So stay tuned!  I’ll be looking for donations soon . . .]]>
